The world cups of the past seem to be so magical this one was remembered for England been cheated by the great Diego Maradona and defending champions Italy having a disappointment.
I was only 4 when this World Cup screened, but this summer I watched all the games via a website and this intro is the best. And just in the last week I managed to purchase a complete Panini sticker book and got an unopened sticker packet on its way :)

I was 12 and playing football 24/7, i hadn't a care in the world plus the sun seemed to always be shining. I got to watch one of the greatest ever footballers single handedly win the world cup that year too. I'm now 45 and wish I could go back and do it all again

The best ITV World Cup theme ever. The first ten seconds of this theme incorpated the new ITV Sport Logo A silver half circle on a White Cloud blue sky background. I was 12 in 86 and absolutely loved this theme tune. If the World Cup ever gets back to Mexico in my lifetime, I just hope ITV has the sense to bring back this fantastic theme tune. I'll take a revamp/update even...anything.
