I don’t usually comment on youtube. I am well aware that a lot of people want to make this subject a joke. I am a great Grammy. I live on ten acres of heavy forest land that backs up to Bureau Of Land management wild mountains in Oregon state. I can walk out my front door and be in the woods almost immediately. I have also backpacked for years all through Oregon and Washington State. My experience is that there is something very heavy, very smart, sends and receives signals, and walks on two feet in this part of the world. I have dealt with bears a lot. I know what they sound like. I have dealt with cougars. I have had Elk bugle through my backpacking camp. I know what pack horses sound like in the deep woods. I have experiences all of that. I know personally that there is something very heavy, smart, and on two feet living wild in the Pacific Northwest. Carrying on!

Agreed, Jenny. I'm a long time Washington resident, spent more than a decade in Alaska as well. I've seen things I cannot explain while camping in Washington, and I've heard vocalizations which I cannot explain while camping in Washington State. I was a bear guard in the Alaskan Arctic for ten years. I've spent hundreds of hours observing grizzly bears, polar bears, black bears. The black bears, from my time in sub-arctic Alaska and Washington State. I've had mountain lion tracks left inside of my own boot tracks while returning to my truck in the woods' logging roads. I've hunted moose, elk, deer, caribou. I've heard the packs of coyotes rally for the night's hunt. I've seen wolves loping down a road at night. NOTHING from that list makes a multi-toned sound. I mean two/three separate notes at the same time, timed in perfect unison as if coming from one being, not 2/3 beings sounding at the same coordinated time. I've seen quite a bit in my 63 years, but have two things witnessed in camp which I cannot explain with conventional woods creatures we're all familiar with.

There is no question for me that there is are very smart, big and heavy beings just outside of my campfire light. I respect it. I don’t lie and give zero F’s who believes me. It is just there. At 69 I would love for it to be recognized before I die, but then I want them to live wild and free, so maybe there are things that should just stay a “story” to most people.
Hey Jenny. I never got the feeling that you were lying. I spent a lot of time camping in my youth with my family. My dad was a Boy Scout leader for over 20 years and I was his only daughter (3 sons and me). He wanted me to experience the outdoors as well. I am from Brooklyn NY. I became a nature lover. I do have to admit that deep down I was always frightened. I don’t know why but to this day it is true. I have never seen or heard anything to cause this fear and I did not let it stop me. I am an Indigenous person of the Cree Nation in western Canada. I have been hunting these mountains and forests here for 5 decades. In those years there have been only 2 incidents where I heard something but never saw anything. I asked a Cree elder, a relative of mine, about these things. He explained how he was taught by drawing two circles. One circle is the world we live in and the other circle is the world of Sasquatch, little people and other things. He went on to say that every now and then these worlds overlap, just
a bit, and it is in this small overlap where these manifestations occur. Then they pull apart and they are no more. He inferred they are spiritual in nature, malevolent and seem to create fear. We both discussed that people who become obsessed with them, tend to develop mental health issues and start to go down a dark path. In my travels across Canada, mostly western, on different Reserves (US-“Reservation”) it seems there are certain areas or locations where encounters with Sasquatch and little people seem to occur for some unknown reason. But not everyone in an Indigenous community has had encounters, however they know a relative or member of the community that did have an encounter or experience.
We concluded that it is far better to enjoy creation, picking berries, hunting our game, enjoying sunsets and sunrises, having naps on sunlit hillsides while listening to the wind blow through the trees, walking a trail while the sunlight filters through a green forest.
Don’t be afraid of the woods and forests. Just enjoy yourself and don’t worry or go looking for these spirits, it will lead you down a dark path you may not be able to get off of.
That is bubbleverse theory and a part of some very interesting theories in established conceptual physics research areas. I love that there are these stories (histories) of peoples throughout the world. The oral traditions and sagas have been proven to be surprisingly long-lasting in that they reach back much further than many would believe possible. Thank you for sharing your stories and the histories of your peoples.
Anything Bigfoot related always catches my attention. Would definitely love to see a series about your experiences and findings in those woods!

I worked with a man in the early 1970's who had a close-up personal experience with a Bigfoot-like creature as a teenager in southern Missouri. The encounter terrified him so badly that retelling the story twenty-five years later as an adult made his voice shake and still literally gave him goosebumps.

For a good many of the 10s of thousands who have had sightings it is traumatic. I too have a friend Rob up in Michigan who had had a very close sighting of a large male back around 2000 while bow hunting, Iosco County, Michigan area. I had known him since 2002 and he never mentioned this event. Then in 2011 I took my adult nephews out in the Huron National Forest for an overnight trip to try and get a Bigfoot to come close. Upon hearing this Robs wife said I needed to talk to Rob. Rob then explained his sighting and stated I had no idea these things were out there and I never want to see on again and he was shaking a bit and his voice crackled with pure fear emotion as he told his story to me. A month later he told the same story to some researchers that we attended at a Bigfoot Conference in Comins, MI and again you could hear the fear and shaking of his voice.
I had an encounter in 1987 while hiking with friends at MT. Rainier in Washington state. At that time there was no cell phones or internet as we know it today. I never heard of bigfoot before so I thought it was a monster from old myth tales my father would tell us as children. Now I am positive it was a bigfoot.
Love the idea that you may be doing this as a series. Please continue this. I would also like to request that you do another follow up adventure where you you heard the footsteps following you and you never found the source of the noise (Devils chair or table)? Strength and honor my friend.

Just a little word, if your out there looking for him, entertaining but waste of time , you won't find him, if you visit that area as often as you say, and if there are any in that area, they already know a lot about you and your habits out in the green forest, they are watching you, Luke I watch your channel for the gear reviews, which I enjoy, But this video caught my attention, If they want to be seen they will find you, Luke, I speak from experience, a life changing one that I wish I could take back.
I remember this guys episode where he had something walking around his tent in the woods all night. It was just a random event. He was actually doing an equipment review. I was always curious if he would look into the Sasquatch phenomenon any deeper. I really like his outlook on things and can respect his opinion. Cannot wait to see more of this content for sure.

Reminds me of Les Stroud, he was also skeptical but he to had experiences that where strange and he couldnt explain. He kept an open mind and wanted to see what he could find while also trying to debunk it all. Glad to see you are doing this in your own way as well. Always nice to entertain the idea of the unknown

I’m a sceptic as well, I’ve spent most of my adult life in the woods and am familiar with bear, cougar, deer, and elk and what all of them sound and act like. But when I lived in Oregon and out near Mount Bachelor one summer, I was confronted by something that did not want me there. I was in a mixed lodgepole pine and alpine fir forest, whatever it was, made a noise I can’t duplicate, shook the small trees violently and then stayed in the brush where I couldn’t see it. It moved very fast and got downwind of me, hiding in the brush. Prudence told me it was time to leave.

@@msgottaneedtoknow absolutely. I never saw what it was, but it was something I had never encountered before. I can’t definitively say it was or wasn’t a Bigfoot. This encounter occurred in the late summer of 1998 and the hair on the back of my neck was standing up just recounting it.
This is similar to something I experienced, it never showed itself to me but made sure I heard it. I was once a skeptic turned believer, the more my experiences dwell on my mind the more strange and peculiar they become and further lead me to believe there could be more to what is supposedly out there.
I love it when skeptics have their first real encounter, especially if it is documented.
I thought Luke’s approach of going slow was excellent. You never know whether you might find an undiscovered insect or animal in the bush that will require habitat protection. I liked that the coordinates were recorded on the app; this is important for personal safety and the protection off any new species. Awesome content

I loved this episode. I think it's a great idea to do this series. It's good to hear about viewpoints, critiques, theories, or hypotheses from someone who stays in the woods more than most of us.
For anyone that hasn't ever been to a real forest let me say that the forest has it's own music, it's own way of life itself and different sounds will make you so alert but the beauty of it all is the tranquility of it all 💜

Hey Luke, I’m glad you’re finally coming out with this. As much time as you spend in the same places month-to-month, I’m surprised you haven’t had a signing yet. I had a full body three second look at a 7 foot tall Sasquatch in 2019, here in Louisiana. The only reason I did as far as I’m concerned is that I walked the same roads every day at the same time and they got used to seeing me and would follow me. We are their best source of entertainment.

Pretty good episode. I would say it gives a lot of interesting new focus to the outdoor / camping content you have been doing for a while. It caught my attention, TBH. I also like the skeptical approach as well, letting things play out if / wherever possible.
I'm not quite sure why you won't share what part of the world you are exploring, the forest etc.. thousands of people won't go flocking through there just bcuz they saw this video. It's just nice to know where you are looking at. It's truly beautiful there. Thanks for taking us along. ❤
I’m glad you’re willing to explore this possibility. I live in Vancouver and I’m an hour away from some of the most legendary encounters (Harrison, Ruby Creek, and the Chehailus indigenous tribe). Good luck in whatever you find or don’t find.
As Bigfoot eye witness, and field researcher here in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma.. the moment you said "something huge took off, snapping limbs" you had my full attention! I am gonna watch this episode and get you a full assessment when its over! I am glad you are taking on this topic. Years back got a permit to camp seven nights in back country of Yellowstone, 18 hours hike in, no trail, alone. They thought I was crazy doing it alone. No fear going in, coming out I only feared myself. Always thought something was watching and following me, maybe there was but I never seen anything except bear moose . Weird noises though during my camp. Seen no Bigfoot, no monsters with green or red ryes and wings. A person’s conscious can really get the best of you. 45-70 on my shoulder, one chambered, 44mag on my chest 45 on my hip plus my cross bow. Only fear I had was coming back to what they call civilization. Thankyou for the video, I’m a subscriber so I’m always watching.
This series is brilliant and what makes it more interesting than any other channels is that you are a skeptic doing it open minded so if you do decide to continue this you definitely have my interest strength and honour my friend 💪🏻

I'm SOOO here for this. Love your reviews and you are my go-to for all things outdoors and camping but you doing a series like this, Holy Crap! I think you exploring the strange and odd things you've encountered on your travels is amazing. Like those footsteps we all clearly heard in your other video, or that time you were circled by "something". By you investigating in a very fact based way with a tint of skepticism but still being open minded is perfect. It reminds us that the outdoors is full of beauty and mystery. Looking forward to more!

Like you, I own land in the forest and I have seen and heard a number of things (strange sounds, trees placed such that trails are blocked, foot prints in the snow, and a little red light bouncing around the tops of trees) that make me pause and I look forward to another/more such videos. As the only way we will ever learn if these things exist is for people to investigate them. I always look forward to your videos. Keep them coming!

So glad you’re keeping an open mind about Bigfoot’s existence. Can’t speak for the Pisgah, but I’ve had some high strangeness happen to me on several occasions over many years in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest where I was born and raised in Washington State, in the Lewis and Clark National Forest where I lived in Montana and in northwest Oregon where I live now. The best advice I can give you in your pursuit, is to watch your back… often…
This is my first time seeing one of your videos, idk were you are but I love how everything on the ground is covered in moss. Keep searching bigfoot is out there. When you see something big, bipedal, and hairy in front of you walking around don't question it nobody is out there running around randomly fitting the bill out in the forest alone. Nice video I could get into your content even without the bigfoot theme.

This would be a great new series addition to your channel. I have had weird experiences more than once within the deep woods myself. Everyone's a skeptic until it happens to them. Everyone's got their own take on things but not everyone's going to see something out of the natural either. Like anything else in life you just have to be in the right, or wrong place, depending upon your take of the situation.

Okay Luke, here is my thoughts on this endevur you are planning of. I will say this as someone who has had two encounters ( Class A visual) in my life along with several indirect encounters as a field researcher from my group here in Texas. I think you going into this with a skeptical/question asking frame of mind is extremely good! Not everything in the woods is bigfoot. That said, there are a few segments of your series that have peaked my interest. One being when you were awaken by the heavy foot falls 80 yards off from your tent and then it just stopped. That is common bigfoot behavior that I have gotten an audio recorders and other eye witnesses have experienced near their camps when they have had an encounter. The other segment was when you were in that very dense trail with brush on both sides and you could hear something following you. And when you stopped... it stopped. Those are two things in your videos that stood out as possible bigfoot encounters with you. Your region or state is one of the highest number of sightings and encounters due to it being the location of one of the oldest growth forests in America.
So if you are trying to find good evidence of them on your outings or hoping to have an encounter one being by yourself will greatly ensure that they will come check you out. That part you've done well at. One thing you can try is either doing one to three knocks with a rubber mallet ( for camping) on a good thick tree. I did this once in my early days at my research area where I had activity at and I heard them coming in fast, almost reach where I was, then stop just where I couldn't see them.. and then they'd pace back and fourth figuring me out. Other times I'd knock in a remote area, and I'd get a return knock from somewhere. This also works many times for the Whooooop call that you heard. Secondly, look for breaks that are 6 to 8 feet high with a TWIST in the grain of the wood. Do make sure you have an exit plan, they may be curious about you but they have been sharing these forests with humans for thousands of years.. and if they get unruly with you.. you will know. They will know about you before you know about them. They are in the 'Hominid' class. That means they are highly intelligent and can premeditate their planning to observe you. They are smarter than great apes..but not as smart as us. But smart enough to out wit us in remote areas. If you feel aggression back out the way you came in, most likely they will "shadow" you until you are out of their area. Stay armed and only use it as a last measure. These things have been shot before. I have close friends who either have or have been with someone who have opened fire to protect themselves and the result was the Bigfoot running off. Keep that in mind. Keep aggression low and let them come to you if you think they are around. I have a two stories from close friends of these things hunting deer by hand.. and hunting a black bear out of a tree that I can share with you if you like. But, both those stories, illustrate how intelligent they are. I have several filmed vides of mine, on my channel that talk about this subject and you are welcome to give them a view.

@@Sonjaorleans I don't know what that means. What I do know is this, they are indeed part of our fauna of the land. They eat, they drink, they leave hair samples and a poop samples, the leave foot prints and we have observed (not documented) younger ones that roam with their parental units. So we are dealing with something that is very real and NOT paranormal. I think it is wise to view these things as Hominids (much like other relic hominids) rather that some kind of mystical being. Which they are not. It think once we research this subject on the notion of they (bigfoots) are much like relic hominids with both Ape AND human like qualities, will we get our answers.
