    • @jamesbowen5573
      @jamesbowen5573 7 месяцев назад +2

      Honest no BS approach?
      Supposedly he's looking for a 7 ft tall creature at ground level on the side of trees. He's making note of moss knocked over trees that have fallen on their side when a creature such as that has a step of almost 7 ft and would certainly step over all of that without even touching the Moss. This is like getting a magnifying glass and examining an ant hill while looking for a grizzly bear. Of course you're not going to find a grizzly bear. And when he tries to say looking out there and not finding a Bigfoot is proof that there are no such thing he found bear scat but he has not personally ran into a bear. He found deer scat and again we haven't seen any deer. People that haven't tried to use their phone to take a video of something have no idea how hard it is to get everything up and going even if you do see something unless you're filming already.
      I personally saw someone who broke into my house leaving with some stuff I pulled out my phone and tried to video record them by the time I got the video going and working they were already in their car and driving down the street I had good footage of their car but I couldn't get a good shot of their tag. It's no wonder no one would get good video of something moving through the forest like that can you remember how many videos of someone standing in the forest who actually gets a picture of a bear if it's not coming at them?
      The only reason they get the Bears on their phone is because the bear is curious and screwing around with them but if it was trying to get away from them they would not capture it.

    • @johnfleischer2790
      @johnfleischer2790 7 месяцев назад +1

      He explains why he puts the camera at ground level. And the ground there is too soft to support footprints, so the only possible clues would be disturbed moss from where something has stepped. I agree with you about getting a phone camera ready, it takes awhile and in most cases with these creature it would be futile, but you have to try right?

    • @johnfleischer2790
      @johnfleischer2790 7 месяцев назад +1

      And it is honest, he is making no claims he sees anything out there, not saying he hears something the camera doesn't pick up, not smacking sticks on trees or making screams. No b.s. just walking in the forest looking for clues on the ground and listening.

    • @jamesbowen5573
      @jamesbowen5573 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@johnfleischer2790 probably after everybody made a comment in the other video he also said he didn't want it at eye level so that it wouldn't mess with it but every creature that came by pretty much looked at it or messed with it which means that if they're really were such a thing as a Bigfoot and it was an animal such as he postulates then it would to in fact look at it. But since they don't appear to like humans it would probably avoid the smell altogether and not even be on camera. Basically I'm just saying if they're real or not you're not going to prove it by spending a few hours out in the woods like this there are people who spend months and years out there. I know if I were going to look for when I would actually look for signs that one would leave not smaller animal sign. You can't just dismiss their existence because you don't find their scat maybe they are like some cats and bury it. However I have heard of other people finding what they claim was Bigfoot scat. So who knows I'm not a Bigfoot expert and I don't believe they have Supernatural powers however if they are related to other things just as wacky maybe they have technology. There's a good possibility they are the remnants of the Nephilim assuming they exist of course

    • @jamesbowen5573
      @jamesbowen5573 7 месяцев назад

      @@johnfleischer2790 yeah the only way someone's going to get it on camera is if they're already out there shooting a video and catch one the way people caught the Twin Towers when they were hit by planes you saw it in the background. The chances are these things would probably avoid the noise of someone stomping around and making a video. They appear to be secretive and I like to hide that is if they exist they are truly the hide and go seek champions of the forest. But you have to remember they are always discovering new animals out there even still today. They even find stuff they thought was extinct.
      Most of the people who see them are people who want to see them, you can't deny that except for the ones who said for the first time and didn't have it on their mind at all it just happened. Those are more reliable and my view than professionals out there purposely trying to catch something.

      I thought your assessment was fair and not one sided and I enjoyed the outdoor experience you brought to us….
      I was a avid hunter who night hunted the Florida swamps for wild hog… I have had some things happen that I can’t explain, saw something in a spot light at 500 or so yards that I’m not sure what it was, but I’ve never labeled any of it Skunk Ape… I have several friends who’ve had what they believe to be sightings, one occasion was 4 guys hanging out… they’re all convinced…. If this makes sense I don’t necessarily believe in Bigfoot but I also don’t not believe in Bigfoot… I wouldn’t say I’m open minded, just practical enough to believe we do not know everything about Nature… I for one enjoyed all 3 episodes and often found myself wishing I was sitting there drinking coffee with you !!

    Sorry to hear that some folks have written to you about them being "supernatural". Plain and simple, Luke, these creatures (which I have had visual encounters with) have taken deer, taken corn from a landowner, taken hog and have been seen drinking from ponds and creeks. If they need food and water and a habitat... they are NOT supernatural. I will always remember my encounter seeing the muscle structure moving in the sun light. They are flesh and blood and are part of our natural world, much like many of the other relic hominids before us. I know I have mentioned this about the issue with cams, but we (as researchers) hypothesize that the Bigfoots just plain see the beam and have the intelligence level to be weirded out by it and just leave it alone by staying out of its way. Part of being a researcher of this topic is going out and finding out why things aren't working.
    I know this is a hard subject.. but I commend you for taking a look at it. It's important to have a open yet skeptical mind when tackling this subject. I will say this though: the area of South East Oklahoma the North Texas along the Red River is thick with sightings (including my second sighting in 2012) and night time outings in remote areas can increase your chances of having an encounter. I really hope one day you actually get a chance to see one of these creatures.. cause when you do, it'll blow your mind. Just the way they are built shows how well they've adapted to live in these kinds of wilderness conditions. Keep a good eye out and keep up the great work.
    If you get a chance, and would like to hear some anecdotal discussion on this subject that I have filmed, please check out some of the video segments on my page.

When looking straight on you can see them but if they turn a little they seem to disappear. Years later I see a video referencing these rodents and they said that bigfoot has the same hollow fur. My imagination? But there is no debunking what I saw. It is real. I don't even tell people. If it was me i would have thought this person is either lying for attention or just dont know what they saw. Sad thing is even when you a film, photos and DNA it’s not taken seriously. You have a film evidence that would not be easily faked even though some have come forward who alleged they were involve in the fabrication of the film. Then only because a former channel that had done hiking, camping and backpacking that I followed started adding “ scary” stories, I watched a few. Quite frankly it pissed me off that that channel had completely reversed course with their content and did more and more of the scary BF videos. Their ratings soared, so I can understand the attraction to continue along those lines. Anyway. I began to wonder, just wonder, if there might be something to it as many level headed people were claiming experiences. I didn’t want to be afraid of being alone at night outdoors, even if it’s just to walk my dog. Plus I still find what I concluded were made up stories to be ….pointless. And boring. I agree that it’s probably their imagination. Thanks for your viewpoint.

    On the topic of "why can't they be found ( Photographed/video) "
    Every situation is different. My encounter was during when I first years of photography and I simply didn't have a lens that would reach out to where the subjects were at 300 meters out. (my binoculars did) Some folks encounter then and due to it being a frightening experience.. leave. They feel their life is in danger and they don't think about taking a picture(s) or video. Sometimes they do, and we end up getting vids that NOT conclusive due to those frightening encounters, videos that area burry or shaky and not focused on the subject. I photograph wild animals using special gear and special methods.. that frankly most normal folks who ARE NOT photographers can't or won't think of doing, even if I gave them my telephoto lens and high end camera. They simply do not understand how to document a subject in the forest. Just something to take into consideration. I try to put the best answers I can as a researcher in this topic and as a professional photographer. ;)

I've listened to lots of people that are completely normal except for their encounter. Unsolicited, but my belief is they are something that is beyond our understanding at this point in our scientific understanding. They have been described as physical but possessing strange abilities.

    I love this bigfoot series, I myself am a skeptic as I believe until one is captured we just don't know anything substantial about this animal. But I had an experience back in 1996 in the Big Pine Mountain Range on the border of Nevada and California back. BPMR is approximately 95 miles Southeast of Yosemite, a very remote area. I was tent camping with friends and other than seeing a squirrel and a few deer the area is fairly desolate. There is an Alpine lake that is crystal clear and a good 6 mile hike from camp (roundtrip). On the second evening after a hike to the lake for a swim, the sun had just crested the mountain and was beginning to set. The girls were preparing dinner and my buddy and I were cutting wood and preparing the campfire. Up on the ridge about 300 yard we heard a very loud crash, sounded like two telephone poles being smashed together. It literally stopped all four of us to a dead silence. Then in the distance you can hear the sound of small branches being broken and something traveling in the dense forest above us. We wrote it off as the loud crash as dead fall or a tree that had finally fell over and the snapping branches were most likely a deer or possibly a black bear (although rarely seen that far south).
    We turned in after a few beers and cleaned up all our dishes and stowed our food away. We allowed the fire to die down before extinguishing it for the night. Once camp was settled we went to our tents to get some sleep. It was approximately 3am when we heard a loud crash, woke everyone up. I knew it was a rock or boulder, that distinct sound is not mistakable. Sounded like a rock was thrown towards our camp. My buddy had a .357 revolver, we all communicated through our tents as everyone was scared and unsure what happened. I grabbed my flashlight and unzipped the tent and looked around, my buddy did the same with his revolver close by. We then briefly looked around camp, we searched by our vehicles, we thought maybe vandals or someone was messing with us. After a 15 minute search of the camp we turned in. We all got up around sunrise, it was our last day at camp and the plan was to eat breakfast, break camp and head home. As I was packing away our stuff and rolling up sleeping bags and trying to organize the vehicle, I saw about 20 feet from the front of my truck there was a boulder about the size of a microwave split in half. I did not walk past the front of my car in the middle of the night and I know for 100% fact it was not there previously. I could also see the impact mark and you can just tell it was out of place. This boulder didn't match the landscape. I know its a long post but something happened that couldn't be explained. I have know idea who or what would've had the strength the throw that boulder. Other than tennis shoe footprints, there were no tracks and any signs anyone else was in or near our camp. Completely baffled to this day. Still have vivid memories 30 years later.

    Enjoyed the series. I don't totally agree with the "people's imaginations running wild" theory. Not every encounter is under duress. Absence of evidence is not always evidence of absence. Credible levelheaded individuals are experiencing something unusual, even life altering. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Investigations should always be approached with some skepticism and open mindedness just as you are doing. It's a very slippery slope. Hope to see more in the future. Thanks!!! 👍

    Enjoy your videos and really enjoyed this series. I’m in NC and have recently become enamored with the topic of BF. Don’t watch those silly reality shows but have a couple of friends that have the same interests. We go out from time to time in an area in eastern NC and have had some VERY wild activity. Most recently one of my friends had a sighting. One crossed the road in front of him. I have never seen one myself but have personally talked to three VERY genuine and reliable / credible people that have had sightings. I believe them 100%. None of them have any reason to make the story up and all are very selective on who they share their story with. I am not what you’d call a “believer” but in the last two years I’ve gone from extreme skeptic to way less skeptical. I also feel like it is flesh and blood creature but there is something crazy weird about the fact that there is not more credible evidence of their existence.

    Hi, I have a comment on the quartz stones. I live in the woods on a small mountain and have lots of moss around my house (most of my so-called-lawn) which I love. I also have lots of stones, boulders, and 4 very large quartz boulders that the previous owners brought in. The normal sandstone boulder/rocks that are around do get covered by the moss and lichen but the quartz, never!! Not sure why. It takes about a year for a regular sandstone rock to have moss grow over it but the same size quartz stone/rock the moss seems to stay away from. Weird!
    My guess about the little quartz pebbles, birds (crows/ravens) pick them up and drop them, they like shiny things!?! Love your adventures & reviews. It's was nice seeing Suzie again in your AZ road trip!

When I was in the 8th grade, in 1976, I had a classmate whose father hunted Big Foot as a job.. he would bring in grainy photos, foot castings and I think I remember hair and a few bones and teeth. I lived in Northern NJ at the time and he traveled all over based on sighting reports. She did claim to have seen a Bigfoot once when she traveled with her dad over the summer. So who knows.

    Folks, There are too many people who have reported sightings of Big Foot who genuinely sound affected by their experiences. Years ago I worked for the Sheriff's Department in the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, and was called to investigate the body of a corpse which was torn in half by a Big Foot. The top half of the body was found 3 quarters up a tall tree which was 55 foot tall. The bottom half of the body had been partially eaten and the person's wallet and drivers license were found nearby. The deceased person had been reported missing in the area a week earlier and there had been reported sightings of Big Foot in the same area. Big Foot attacks are horrific due to the enormous strength of the creature and because they are bi-pedal it is not hard when tracking their foot prints in clay ground soil to realize that they are not from a bear. We have casts made of their foot prints which have been equivalent to a US 20 in shoe size. A lot of people go missing in the US State forests and most die after becoming lost and eating wild poisonous berries or mushrooms because they get hungry. Some are killed by bears and others are torn apart and partially eaten by Big Foot which we have been told not to disclose to the American public.🤠

    You know the one thing I respect the most about Luke is the fact that he is a rational, skeptical and critical thinker. I am more inclined to listen to a differing opinion when I know that the person I'm talking too is one a rational, skeptical and critical thinker and two a person who will not entertain willful ignorance. There are just far too many people out there that think they know something that can't be known.
    I'm a skeptic too Luke, I don't believe that Bigfoot exists either because there is nothing that leads me to believe that it does. If Bigfoot actually does exist then I don't want to believe that it exists, I want to know that it does. So faith that Bigfoot exists is useless to me and I'm not playing that game. If you want me to believe something then prove it, if it is unprovable then have fun with that and come back when you can. Cheers!
