No, it was Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He was very much influenced by Allauddin Khilji's character and he wanted to make a villain centric film. That's why he gave more space to Ranveer Singh.

SAK was never offered Race 3 but rather informed by producers that for the 3rd installment they are taking Salman.

With the exit of Saif the producers changed the directors as well, Abbas-Mustan was dropped. After signing Salman the producers then offered Saif a secondary/cameo role in Race 3 which Saif rejected due to obvious reasons!

3:57 Definitely Nargis could not justify the depth and emotion of her character in Rockstar. But in my opinion, Everything happens for the good things. By neglecting her acting, we as an audience could understand the talent of Ranbir as an actor and Imtiaz as an director which led to making Rockstar a cult classic and still afresh movie in our minds. So bringing Deepika, there was a chance that we might be trashing "once in a made" brilliant movie.

@@anushkajha6983 Imitiaz is always known for pulling out the deepest character arc from actors. Being a debutant, she might not be able to pull off his writing on paper to the screen. But eventually she got her chance in Tamasha and it too went on for good

The biggest problem with Rockstar was Nargis Fakhri, so anyone even slightly better than her would've made the experience better.

SRK’s rejection for Munnabhai mbbs was the best. I remember SRK had said this in an interview that he had to decline that offer due to his shoulder injury. Sanjay Dutt was so good with the role.

1. If Deepika would've been casted in Rockstar as Heer, it would've been good but not perfect because character of Heer Kaur was of a Kashmiri Sikh and I don't think DP would've been perfectly casted since she has a notable South Indian accent. Many people don't know this but Cocktail film actress Diana Penty was also considered to play Heer but she also didn't play the role for some unknown reason. Obviously Nargis Fakhri didn't act perfectly as Heer but she in the Rockstar film's outfits was enough but we still imagine Heer Kaur with some other actresses. This video deserves a part 2 as well obviously because there are countless examples of actors getting replaced in Bollywood and also in Hollywood.
2. There's one example don't know that Katrina was the first choice for Salman's Kick and Ranbir's Roy movie. But thankfully Katrina refused it and both went to Jacqueline Fernandez.
3. This is a very well known fact in Bollywood that Aamir Khan was first offered Darr and Salman Khan was first offered Baazigar but they both refused it and SRK said YES to both and the rest is history.
4. I'll tell you a historical Hollywood fact that Ray Liotta the man played Henry Hill in Martin Scorsese Sir's classic Goodfellas movie 1990 was first offered to Tom Cruise and on the other side Liotta refused to play Batman and apparently said YES to playing the classic Italian-Irish American gangster in Goodfellas movie. Tom Cruise is very handsome and stylish but still we can't imagine any other actor apart from Liotta for the role of Henry Hill.
At the right time Shahid Kapoor got to act in Kabir Singh movie. He did maximum justice to that movie ❤

If we first start with Nagative then i personally believe casting Sushant Singh Rajput for raja Ratan Singh was more then perfect but later Shahid Kapoor has to play the part due to no dates issue.
And now go with Positive, Farhan Akhtar in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag was fabulous. Also, ranveer singh was great in Band baaja baraat.
NOW I THINK RANVEER SINGH WILL WORK WITH SANDEEP REDDY VANGA AFTER THE SUCCESS OF ANIMAL AND IT WILL BE GREAT TO SEE RANVEER COLLABRATING AND WORKING WITH SANDEEP AND IT WILL MAKE THE MOVIE SUPERHIT!
I wish to add some more details of the 90s in this regard:- (1) PHOOL AUR KAANTE Ajay Devgan 's blockbuster debut movie was initially offered by KUKU Sandesh Kohli to Akshay Kumar, 1st but Akki rejected it and ultimately the lead actor's role in Phool Aur Kaante went to Ajay Devgan,(2) Shahrukh Khan's supporting actor role in DEEWANA, SRK's debut movie was offered 1st to Armaan Kohli, but Armaan rejected it and the rest is history, (3) Amjad Khan's role as GABBAR SINGH in Ramesh Sippy 's SHOLAY was 1st offered to Danny Denzongpa but Danny rejected it and the rest is history.(4) Ajay Devgan was offered initially the role of Vishal Agnihotri in Rajiv Rai's 1994 blockbuster, MOHRA instead of Sunil Shetty, but Ajay rejected the role while Sunil Shetty did the role and movie as well as earned appreciation from everyone .
