Learning how to give a puppy a shot may also be a benefit if your dog is very timid. It will not only save you money, but your dog won't have to go through the stress of making a trip to the vet. Likewise, if your dog needs to take an injectable medicine on a regular basis, it will be much easier to administer the medication at home.

Omg stop being so critical. I think her video is very good! I also give my dogs their own shots!. If veterinarians did not charge so much money, then more ppl would get vaccines from the Vet. As long as you know what you're doing, it is FINE!!! Dont tell ppl not to listen to this video. She does a good job showing & explaining. Its ones personnal choice if they'd rather have a Vet give the shots.

So. What do you do if you do hit a vain? Just relocate the needle and inject with the blood?

You did a really good job explaining the process, but I had a hard time seeing exactly where "just over the shoulder blade" was in your video, I did hear u when you advised not "between the shoulder blades", it's just that I'm more of a visual learner and which was why I was searching for a video explaining the best places to give shots at, on a puppy or a dog was.

I’ve never heard a dog whine or whimper when getting a shot. Do they not feel the stick of the needle or are they way more tolerant of pain than we are?

I had a diabetic husky that I gave insulin injections to twice a day no problem. I have a litter of puppies that I’m having difficulty, the puppy cried which has never happened. Also I wasn’t able to push the plunger? Am I going on to far? Or not deep enough?

For a "5 in 1" puppy vaccine, you would use (1)one ml as instructed on the package 😊

The shots have to stay refrigerated. If they warm up it destroys the vaccine.

One of employees told me it's okay for the product to be Unrefrigerated for 20 min but can always place product inside a cup full of ice while driving back home which I did just to be safe

I forgot to put the liquid in the powder stuff in then give it to the puppy .I just gave him the liquid
You most likely have to redo the shot thats a part of the medication. Id talk you you vet and do it over again.
The liquid is needed to reconstitute the dry (which is the actual vaccine). You need to buy another vaccination kit and do it again.
