The best thing that happened to me was finding people with simular 'proplems' to me. I've been through the system begging for help but all I got was diagnosies for things I didn’t even experience. Great video, it makes me hopeful for the future, to get over things instead of supressing. Supressing isn’t just what is happening in the medical world but all over. I know autistic people who got yelled at for acting autistic and now look and act like 'normal' people when you meet them but are deeply traumatised and suppress all of their wonderful selves because of fear. They don't get told to work with their emotions, they get praised for suffering. All my dear friends, autistic and not, who battle demons every day, haven't gotten the help they need either. Most people I know research for years and are still told by "professionels" that they don't know themselves better than a half hour test. But together we are stronger. 😸

I just wanted to say that this year I've been through a huge personal loss and I've been dealing with a lot of grief. Your ASMR videos have helped me a LOT. Thank you. Your voice is so soothing. Sometimes I listen to your videos while at work to give me a boost of happiness, but mostly it's to fall asleep. Take care, and thank you.

Hi Neil, I’m a long time watcher of your videos and I find they give me peace. I’m glad you overcome your mental illness. I’m experiencing some confusion myself about my life , career, etc. that I should probably talk to someone about . But I wanted to say thank you for making your videos. They bring me a sense of peace and I wish you all the best.

    Yes, so good.
I have clinical depression etc. Various problems. One can't change the past, it's done so much harm, but yes we need to save ourselves and make life better.
I find reiki helps more than anything.
Doing your wonderful training, the beginning stage bringing old rubbish out, but it'll get better as it goes.
Hope to help others one day, as you do. First, to fix myself and heal. Yes, the white light.

100%, medications are somewhat helpful but do NOT fix the issue... we need to be relentless in the fight to heal ourselves. Listening to your video, the thought "the traumatized inner child" kept coming to me. I think so much of mental illness is actually just a fractured child that evolved into whatever "it" had to in order to survive. I can relate with that almost audible "shout" you spoke of... it's quite disconcerting, and can be so very exhausting to be so acutely aware of these things. Like you say, one tends to disconnect from the body. I have something called INMI that is a sort of compulsive disorder where it's like an earworm x 1000 (lasting for days and days and throughout the night too). This comes from the need to silence thoughts and memories, replacing them with music. Neil, I'm so sorry to hear what you're having to experience. And what a courageous soul you are to choose to help others heal when you yourself are experiencing so much turmoil. Sending love and light ❤

Yes, indeed it can be very much like that. Sorry to hear you have had these challenges in life also, I think so many do and can't express it to anyone who understands. I wish you well and thanks you for your kindness :)

Your candor in this is very helpful. There are several things I've struggled with and it feels like thoughts are roaring at you if you let them run unchecked. And other times it feels like when things are fine, and calm, I catch myself mentally racing around to find something that I can worry about, or searching for the next concern. Thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us today. I wondered, since you took up running, did you feel like you found your thoughts more active, or your mind racing? Sometimes after I exercise, I find my mind so awake and alert, like I got my adrenaline going and I start to look for something to worry about. I wish you strength in your continuing struggles, and blessings for trying to help us at the same time. 🙏

Thanks. Yes, it is good to share as other may relate or get a little help from it. No my mind does not race after exercise. I don't overly worry, but my mind get full of chains of thoughts sometime that I struggle to stop. I try to break my attention onto something else by keeping myself busy. Take care!

Some say: "the mind is a terrible thing to waste' - but it's actually the intellect that's separated from the mind.
Spiritual awakening says: the mind is your own enemy. That's why mind control practice is helpful.
Thank you 💕 Neil Cooper 🙏

Hi, glad you found me during a time of need and glad it has helped you. Loss and grief mostly only heals in time, but choosing to live life and find happiness once again is something we need to find in time. I have a meditation healing video for loss and other things. There will be a new video next month with a friend and fellow Reiki Master. L&L
