Ok, time for some "What If" What If: Hammerhead/Iron Awe managed to flip over typhoon and win. in the former's case iron awe would eat it for breakfast, so in either case Iron Awe goes through to the semis and faces....Thermidor 2. tough fight for sure but Thermidor is literally made of ground clearence and as Prizephita showed in S5, it can be flipped around easily. i'd say iron awe could just about take them. But then you get to Atomic. much better wedge, and design in general. out goes iron awe. Atomic 2 in the final. they face X-terminator 3, and get promptly shredded. i mean it would be close, a well placed flip and not re-righting them ("shakes fist at tsunami") would be the end of it. but i think the vertical disc would do tremendous damage and probably destroy Atomic. leaving X-terminator to face Storm 2 in what would be a great finale. the problem is i see it being exactly what happened with Tornado. the scoop being strong enough to withstand the flywheel and xterminator being too slow to do anything but get shoved and shunted around till it ran out of juice or got pitted. Tornado would probably put on the scoop for atomic and give them a good fight ultimately winning. though if atomic wasnt too badly beaten up by x-terminator it could stand a chance. What If: Bigger Brother beat Iron Awe rear end takes the brunt of typhoon's hit. tip over. BB wins no problem. Thermidor wouldnt be much of a challenge though it all depends on ian's driving. and Atomic would likely be their downfall in which case ctrl c, ctrl v. IF They somehow beat atomic X-terminator would annihilate them since a vertical disc would just do too much damage. the fight with tornado would then be decided on how badly x-terminator obliterated them. but Atomic would probably beat them before all that. What If: Hammerhead won the heat (lol) Thermidor wins first semi battle, gets obliterated by Atomic. ctrl c, ctrl v
I think x-terminator might actually have had a chance against storm 2. One of the big reasons for its crappy performance against tornado was due to how soundly typhoon 2 thrashed them earlier, and the fact that the team hadn't really bothered to make any significant repairs as it wouldn't matter if they lost or won at that point.
Bigger Brother was much better than Atomic and would have easily won that fight, and its armor was strong enough to beat X-Terminator. Bigger Brother would have ended up reaching the final and losing to Storm 2 if it hadn't been flipped out by Iron-Awe.
@@NightHawk12to81 i disagree, it held up well to hypnodisc but that was horizontal, i think the vertical flywheel would just do too much damage. and their flipper was still an arm rather than a panel like Tsunami so one solid hit to the front side disables their only way of really winning. Bigger Brother went out in round 2 again. Some triumph return they had. 3-time semi finalist and a grand final for Bigger Brother, but they didn't make it far in the 7th wars. Back to the lower seeds for them.
I would have liked to see Gravity win its heat, it's such an entertaining bot. But I have to admit Hard as Nails thoroughly deserved its win, it's just so well-engineered and efficient, just gathers up the opposition and dumps them gently in the pit. And it has the great merit of depriving the house thugbots of any victims to beat to death.
25:41 ah, but you're forgetting the fact it's made out of carbide steel, which is much, much tougher than whatever soft 4mm of steel your bot supposedly went through.
@@burzaburza2970 Yeah. That spoiled me, and kinda ruins the series for me. I just don't like Typhoon.
