I'm just curious in wanting to know how the heats were all filmed in order compared to how they were edited. Parts of me do have feelings they filmed the eliminators of about 3 heats to start off with, then filmed the semifinals and heat finals, as opposed to 1 heat at a time.
Does anyone else notice the relative lack of sound effects during the battles this series? Nice change if that is the case. I prefer the organic sounds of the robots hitting each other, even if the sounds are quieter.

What on earth is the point of letting the house robots completely wreck some poor competitor's robot that has been counted out? I would like to see a half-ton version of Carbide or Aftershock let loose on the house robots and shred them all into tiny twisted pieces of metal.

Scaled-up Firestorm to flip Sir K (which Firestorm has already done, and Sir K has no srimech) and let mega-Carbide loose on the remains. In the second heat, Robochicken was dead lucky that Tough as Nails chose to go after Disco Inferno first, and also that B.O.D. got counted out seconds before Tough as Nails put Robochicken in the pit. It would have been really ironic if B.O.D. had gone through, having basically done nothing.
Who'd thought that in a heat that had Panic Attack and Disco Inferno would end up having a heat final that: A: Didn't have either of those 2. And (Spoiler Alert) B: Had Robochicken in it.

@@burzaburza2970 Shows how competitive it got by this point. Bots were coming in unseeded that would have been winning the thing in series 3 and 4. This was the time to introduce limits and resrictions to keep it like this as it was fantastic competition. Instead they increased the limits and you end up with spinning domination in 8 bot competitions 😩.
i think the final was great. if robochicken had retained enough gas, they would have been able to flip nails out of the arena, but they had no chance of damaging them. 7/10
One thing to be mangled by a competitor who is the same weight as you. Quite different to be deliberately trashed for no reason whatever by a couple of heavyweights after you've been counted out. That's not combat, that's mindless vandalistic thuggery.

I can see why the Mute guys were upset.. lol of all the times for Killalot to put a bot into Matildas spinner, it was their featherweight bot.. which got completely ripped apart
One thing I thought was better about the 2010s series was that there was less house robot filler once a battle was won, which meant they didn't needlessly destroy robots. Probably a sign of changing attitudes
@@stevedimmock930 yeah that's about the only thing though, unfortunately. The house robot design improvements were nice too, though. Instead of bringing Razer back to compete, they should have made it a house robot, in my opinion. Also should have made a hammer saw (like Sawblaze has) for Killalots arm instead of the drill. Although, that would be destructive... also, I think Matilda randomly decimating robots (namely Thor) with her spinner made up for the time they didn't spend destroying them at the end. But yeah, the times have changed. I've always liked and not liked the house robots at the same time.
Tough As Nails was a decent bot on second viewing.. appreciate certain bots more now and Tough As Nails was one that didnt get that at the time. The Dutch were all decent this series esp Gravity as well.
Here's an idea, for full body spinners why don't they take a look at some of the top tier attack type Beyblade and design a weapon around the body like say a rage Longinus robot
I think spinners should have been limited or be limited. Its far to stupid nowadays because their unbeatable so the solution is to restrict them to 2000 rpm and not allow certain designs.
Sometimes i don't understand producers. Look at that heat, so many great robots and then you have heats like K, L or the on with Ming Seeded... there is like 6-7 better robots than Ming :S. Yeah yeach match two champions in just 2nd round
The only truly awful bot in this episode was Spin Doctor really (which IMO is one of the worst bots in RW history, it never worked and had obvious design flaws). BOD didn't look good either but could have maybe gone further in an easier heat
But it added to the need of being a good driver which is a skill,, stay away or drive the opposition into the cpzd. And they all knew what they were signing up for. What I liked about this show is a few of them didnt mind being the cannon fodder for entertainment purposes,, ie grannys revenge types. They brought he show back in the 2010s and there were only 8 or so competing bots, all of them serious competitors with boring personalities. Tornados team (esp the captain) were mardy but it added to the fact you loved it when they lost it was funny hearing him whinge lol.
