    I live in California.
I have two thanksgivings. One to spend quality time with my mother and my boyfriend. We'll have turkey, cranberry sauce, mash potatoes and gravy, some bread and veggies.
During the same night we'll travel to my boyfriend's family where they'll have some of the same items. They like to serve casseroles and deserts.
With my boyfriend's family, everyone sits at the table and takes turns saying what they are thankful for. Afterwards, they say a pray and we'll can begin to eat.
It's very American to watch the Macy's Day Parade (in the morning) on t.v. which is a parade held in New York, put on but a department store called macy's. Once that's over, there's a football game and that's what most men watch while everyone else is cooking.

My family celebrates Thanksgiving on a different day. We usually celebrate it the following week or the Saturday after Thanksgiving due to my mom's birthday being on Thanksgiving Day. We usually eat the usually turkey, smash potatoes, garden salad, bread roll, corn, gravy, and stuffing. However each years we get to add something unusually to the table... like fish, ribs, or even a pasta. We like to add Mexican food too. As for desserts I am usually in charge of it; I will make a chocolate lava cake with a scope of vanilla bean ice cream, a pumpkin cinnamon roll, and then my sister makes her famous cheesecake. That's how I celebrate Thanksgiving.

I'll get a chance to visit my hometown in the US for Thanksgiving this year. We eat a variety of foods including roasted turkey, mashed potatoes but actually my favorite thing is a classic but a bit weird....jello mold!!! My mom always uses raspberry jello and adds frozen fruit, sour cream (can't find that here in Korea!) and walnuts. I wonder if Sarah's family makes jello mol (also called jello salad, lol) ?

    • @2hearts1seoul

+Nick McKenna Oh man, I (Sarah) have never tried that type of jello, but it sounds delicious!! :o

Canadian Thanksgiving is much the same as in the USA.Before we head to Florida to miss the winter,we celebrate with family and friends in Canada in October.Turkey and loads of veg with too much pumpkin pie etc. etc.The fall colours are magnificent here in Nova Scotia. Then we head south. We enjoy another thanksgiving friends in the US as their TG falls in late November.I love cooking yet another turkey dinner.Often we eat out side as November can be quite hot in Florida. The next day all hell breaks loose in the malls for Black Friday pre Christmas shopping. It is a frenzy that we avoid, there will always be a good deal and we don't need anything that badly that we would risk that stress. It is fun to watch it all on the news while sipping cheap but good vino that we can buy at the corner store. Not so in Nova Scotia.Have a good one in Korea, love watcing you every week. You are a highlight in my life, thanks for sharing yours.

For Thanksgiving we (all of my family) always get together at my grandmas and eat traditional food which is usually: Turkey, ham, homemade mash potatoes, several types of casseroles and salads. There's always a ton of sweets like pumpkin pie and sweat potato pie. We also usually go around the room and say what we are thankful for and after we are done eating we Reminisce and talk about old stories.

they will melt your heart when they are kittens.
if you want to have fun with them, get a 6 foot fishing rod,
with some small fluffy weighted object at the end of the fishing line.
move the object around as if it were a mice or bird trying to get away.
they will jump and leap after it like crazy.

+Minyoung Lee

There's actually a Chinese holiday called the Mid-Autumn festival and it happens the same weekend as Chuseok every year. It's where the family comes together and eat mooncake and dishes made specially for that holiday. It's not as serious as Chuseok when the entire family have to meet together like the American Thanksgiving. Ppl also go around gifting their friends boxes of mooncake.

Usually we are going to our granny houses , and make some " jeon "
like sweet potato jeon ( 고구마 전 ) , pumpkin jeon ( 호박전 ) , 송편 we make it together , at the living room
every body talk about something and playing with cousin brothers
this is how we spend our chuseok and for a children we can get a money from uncles or aunts or granny ,
actually its not only for the children before they can earn money ,
my friends are mostly don't wanna go to granny house , because it's boring as much , and we can get a stress by
cousins , like my aunts asking me " how much scores did you get ? " from the school's exam
and a lots of questions Yeah i guess every body hates to go to granny house
but mostly peoples are smile at the end . because they got the money and they can go back to their own bed !
for a guys we wasting that money at the games , for girls i think they buying a lots of make up stuffs !
