I think wall climbing could be updated to something cooler, but overhauling the ENTIRE movement system is insane. That would change like 70% of how the game functions, I think it would be cool to let us do wall climbing tech because it isn't that fun when someone just scales on a wall you can't climb and there's no chase it just ends there.
Thats what im sayin, im not saying change everything but like some wall running and the universal ability to scale up things to get to other players could be cool. Right now youre either screwed or you have to headstack which is kinda weird in the first place
Nah I need a way to fight back against depths gankers and void walking sweats and since I stand no change in combat I HAVE to trackstar. Also fun just for traveling around and exploring.

You think the devs actually still care about adding new and inspiring things to deepwoken? Look at the last 6 months of development and show me one thing that’s been innovative or game changing. Beyond quality of life changes, reskins and low effort mantras/weapons, Reskins and buggy talents / “paths”, and oh wow BR updates that no one cares about. I’d have more hope if they actually deliver on their promises but even a PVP mechanic that they’ve promised for almost a YEAR NOW has been delayed for MONTHS. Like you cannot seriously convince me that a single Roblox update has thrown a project in the making for almost a year completely off track. It’s obvious they just haven’t even worked on it and are stalling for time. Yes the games still great but nothing has shown me these devs actually still care about the game.
I appreciate your input! To be honest, no I do not think the developers are interested in innovating their game further. This is more of a concept piece, its something I’d love to see for the game, even if its unrealistic. Thats what the majority of my content is. But yeah, I understand the sentiment with the developers. Hopefully they can deliver well when conquest eventually releases.
this would've been useful back then when deepwoken was an rpg now its just pvp their focus is improvements on what they can use from attunements and reworks on oaths even if they did add this mechanic theres already trackstar builds to do that similar movement. this pvp is all about being passive and aggresive as both will help in a fight that they wont benefit just from running since they nerfed running away and parkouring away from the enemy. in conclusion this can be good for exploration not for pvp i suppose.
I still think if implemented properly it could be an aid in pvp aswell. I understand though. I shouldve mentioned somewhere here that they would have to work harder to ensure that simply running away from your opponent isnt made stronger. I think the universal ability to scale walls might actually benefit those who dont like people running away from them if theyre not on a build with great mobility
Sometimes I have to remind myself that deepwoken was supposed to be 60% pve and 40% pvp, but since the layer 2 update, it looks more like 20% pve and 80% pvp (there will always be pve, but with the only purpose of grinding, not actually exploring the world itself)
I believe this would be nice to use as short cut routes to get to places. Like it wouldn't be available normally and when in combat, it'd get disabled. But if there was certain places around the map that you had to do parkour to get to would be really nice. Like if there was a way to get from the gate at the bottom of erisia to the temple of the forgotten flame provided you're skilled enough to do the parkour for it. Like that I think it'd be very fun.

To be honest, I don't think its a developer issue or programming issue that they didn't add it yet. Like someone before mentioned, the movement is already made to the degree that they developed around that movement. Changing it too much would invalidate a lot of builds that are around and even if you are just adding the wall climb/wall running mechanic, I think that will benefit those who like to run more than it will benefit those who want to chase. Taking layer 2 in consideration, I think, while speed running faster is great, it would cause a lot of intended features to be skipped or cheesed. Overall, I don't want to be too negative about it and despite the cons of it I would still love to have it in deepwoken just because it feels really dynamic and fun.

they dont do this already? this would give all players the chance to atleast chase them, which is impossible atm.

If this was added to deep id deadass just stop playing for pvp and only make trackstar builds to move faster
