HI!! Neutraii here (the Navae art was made by me back in september) its literally so awesome to see my art in a video about a part of deepwoken im super into! I really do hope we learn more about the Celestial's and im excited to see if theres any future deepwoken updates related to their lore. Again, im honored to have my art in a video!

Also just look at the bound celestial. The fact it's literally crucified and bleeding, you can see it's bones as if it is starved. No wonder the Starkindred aren't all that strong. I think it's even mentioned it's suspended in a coma. The thing is barely alive and likely still actively dying, very slowly.

Just want to mention that the "last" Celestial in the Eastern Starkindred Church isn't the last of its kind. The Pale Briar's description and lore mention other Celestials also being captured in the Western Luminant which could also mean that there may be more captured Celestials around Lumen. This could also mean the Starkindred Church could potentially be a new faction once the Western Luminant comes out (which will come out in eons)
Source: "Staff of a Cardinal of the Starkindred Church, said to be coated in Celestial Ichor to grant it the investment of the Stars. This particular iteration fell into the hands of the Maestro during his training with the Legions in an excursion against the Starkindred Church."

The story and origin of how the children of Navae was found is absolutely beautiful, the art was also beautiful.

Can you make a video documenting plot holes, conflicting information, etc... of the lore? It could be cool to note them so everyone is on the same page about the lore
i honestly really want deepwoken to get more updates to the world, i remember when hive received some significant changes and people were expecting a live event (it never happened). it would also allow the lore to develop more and allow more exploration to give a slight bit of that day 1 deepwoken feel
One thing to keep in mind is that the celestial in the church is identical to the shape of the sun. It's interesting considering almost nothing in the game mentions the sun unlike the moonseye.
Since you paid attention to the sun like me, did you ever notice Dawnwalker's thing on top of their heads are similar to the Moon? I find it funny since it's meant to be a tone of lightkeeping not the shadows
@@YeahItsMoi The Moonseye is related to the celestials (Mark of Jurik talent & the Moonseye Tome confirms this) and is said to illuminate the sky (hence why chyrsids, the moth race, has an entire religion around it + the fact that you can see the Moonseye even in the depths) as well as act as a soothing effect to the tides.
Similarly, Lightkeeping soothes the tides and guides the way through the sea with light. Perhaps both Lightkeeping and the Radiant Tones are an imitation of the Moonseye.
Well, I may been worried a lil bit but Should we afraid of Celestial ? Since starkinded just have consumption(drink) The Holy Ichor of Celestial and that maybe make Celestial curse our all.(Well It just game theory don't think about it much)
Should we be worried about the Celestial? Personally, I don’t think so. They are a force against the drowned gods afterall. The Celestial being tortured and kept alive isnt one that is particularly very strong, which is why Starkindred is an oath relative in power to some others. If it was a strong Celestial, then Starkindred would be much more powerful, similar to those who have achieved Deepwoken. (Pleetsky for example)
Maybe the angels were lightborn controlled by Celtor who took the star kindred oath
I hope they add something where the player can encounter a celestial or lightborn npc thats not from hallowtide. And speak with them.
And when they speak with a starkindred player they jus look at them in absolute horror as a blashphemous imitation of another celestial and just outright attack us.
Realistically they would destroy us but it would be cool if we could like capture them and bring them to oath obtainment npc
What about the light born npc in new kyrsa

It would be cool to have a boss fight with a stronger celestial if you are a starkindred, and if you beat the celestial you can consume its blood and become stronger

Maybe it could be like a Avatar thing like Navae will guide a random gremor to "bring balance to deepwoken" or somthing. Sound weird but I just thought of that
If eating a piece of a celestial gives starkindred but eating a piece a drowned god makes you on par with pleekstey and the first prophet the celestial safe kinda sorry no wonder they lost
But here's the thing, and something I cut out of this video: The Skillset of Starkindred is entirely dependent on what Celestial is consumed. Obviously, this one is extremly weakened from torture, and to end up in that position you've gotta be relatively weak. Imagine if someone ate a piece of Navae, someone who's able to bestow a permanent blessing onto thousands of people. The possibilities are endless.

watched this and noticed something worng. the celstials arent dead they just ran away from fighting the drowned gods to fight them on a later date but they are controlling someone which is the grand sovereign of the central authority drallis eir idk how to spell their name and they are trying to unite all of lumen to fight against the drowned gods
