I did this race in 2013 and I did manage to get the black t-shirt. When I see videos of athletes crossing the finish line at the peak of Gaustatoppen. I know the feeling. In that moment you are in such a pain, you are so tired, you are so proud, you love your support crew more than ever. All the years of thinking of Norsman, the planning, traveling, the race, the mental journey. Everything is coming out. And it is so beautiful painful and rewarding. Big thanks to Norseman organization helping us ordinary people feeling like super heros at Gaustatoppen.
What a movie, stories and performances. Incredible work in all aspects. Mark's a champ, but Ole really stole the show for me. Thank you, GTN, for making this masterpiece available to the masses! ❤
What an event!!! Wow. Thanks for bringing this to us. The featured athletes were so cool and 20th for Mark is awesome!!! Well done Mark!! I think I had a little tear when Mark came out of the water in first actually.
Enjoyed watching that, great to see Fraser again and remember how amazing he always was with supporting everyone back then too. Amazing achievement from all the athletes here, a genuine brutal challenge, love seeing people pushing to their absolute limits (and a touch beyond).
All three journeys of the people you showcased were great. I think what Ole went through for years prior to this, makes Norseman a cakewalk. He just didn’t know! Great video.😊
Incredible video & equally an incredible performance by all involved!! 👏🏼 I’d absolutely LOVE to complete this race one day! 🤞🏼 It’s definitely on the bucket list 🤩😅
What a story that was!! I don't know what to say and I have only one like to give. That was amazing, from all of you. I don't even think there is an emoji to express myself.
That Last Khm on the Run ...it must destroyed your EVERYTHING ....that is the MOMENT when you find your SELF and achieve the inner Victory.Ole my man your are a hero in to my eyes.Hope you have a good life my friend and maybe we meet in a race someday!
I’d seen this film before but it was well worth watching again. Brilliant story telling and being half Norwegian (west coast) I love the fjords and scenery, for me Ole’s story is what life and sport is all about. Tusen takk 👏
I love documentaries like this. It is so inspiring to see snap shots of ultra endurance athletes' lives. Watched this first with their sister channel GCN.
all of them but I give it to Mark because it requires exceptional mental strength to achieve what he did by simply being a normal guy without any big life issues (at least from the way I see things). So well done to Mark. Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional!
What an excellent job framing this video/movie. Norseman is also a dream for me, however I don’t think I can bring together such a crew to support me. We’ll see, dreams keep one going. I love GTN!
@na-dk9vm was trained to do about a 13 hr ironman, took 18 hours. Cramped like crazy in 45 degree water, bike was windy along the highway, and run was at a ski hill. You even crossed the Winner Creek Hand Tram which was sweet. Hardest event I've done, so happy I did it.
Congratulations!! I'm training for my first half Ironman and don't have outside support planned. How do you go about it? Are the race organizers "support"?
@GTN when you're totaling up your training time during the week should we include time from the warm up/ warm down or would you only count the time doing your main sets?
We had a separate video that went on RUclips at the time (that you may have seen already). This video, with a different story, went on GCN+ (which is now no more). We thought we would release it as we near the 1 million subscriber mark 😊
What an Amazing achievement!!!! Having just completing my first full Ironman, I have just a glimpse of what finishing a race like this would take. Congratulations again and thank you for the content.
Which story was your favourite: Mark, Ole, or Alan?
Premier? Saw a GTN vlog involving Mark and this demented race, so what's new? 🫓
Love Ole's story. Even without the race, that man is a champ.
I really like Mark a lot, but Ole’s story is so moving! What a character, what a man! Impressed by such love and resilience
Ole is a life lesson on its own
All are great stories. Got to love Oles.
@GTN Can you do a follow-up with Ole? I would love to see what he's been up to these days with Triathlon and endurance racing. Such a stellar dude.
Story of Ole is just … wow

I had the privilege of doing Norseman in 2023. A life-changing experience, indeed.

Dude has a story....send you our love, you are not alone. ❤

Wow, my serious respect to all those attempting this race. 🎉
“I’m here to enjoy the experience and if I have to walk, I have to walk” that’s gonna be my mantra for 2025
same! No matter how you move..never stop doing it!
All three journeys of the people you showcased were great.
I think what Ole went through for years prior to this, makes Norseman a cakewalk.
He just didn’t know! Great video.😊

Love it already. Thank you for the great work and all the effort you put in these videos.
What a story that was!! I don't know what to say and I have only one like to give. That was amazing, from all of you. I don't even think there is an emoji to express myself.
The best content I’ve watched on the trainer in a long time.
That Last Khm on the Run ...it must destroyed your EVERYTHING ....that is the MOMENT when you find your SELF and achieve the inner Victory.Ole my man your are a hero in to my eyes.Hope you have a good life my friend and maybe we meet in a race someday!
Mark you are a beaaaast! What discipline to not overcook yourself on the bike. 20th is damn impressive. Well done mate.
What an amazing video!! Thanks GTN!
Mark incredible achievement. Yet, to me what really touched me is Ole and his life story. So glad he has such great friends and partner.
Wow! Congratulations on completing this amazing race! Thanks for sharing the great video! Well put together
Awesome video, what a great production. Thanks GTN. Mark, incredible. And to your support crew. Nice to see Fraser back on screen. :)
I’d seen this film before but it was well worth watching again. Brilliant story telling and being half Norwegian (west coast) I love the fjords and scenery, for me Ole’s story is what life and sport is all about. Tusen takk 👏
Wow! That was a emotionally impactful video! I'm really impressed with everyone!
Thank you!
That ferry jump and tread-water for 15 min waiting to start 😱.
So good to see Frazer again. I hope he is going great. And hope to have him back on the channel one day
What a great race! Congratulations to all three. Entertaining videography and style of documentary 🎉
Seen this before on the channel. Absolutely brilliant
Epic achievement - all competitors
I love documentaries like this. It is so inspiring to see snap shots of ultra endurance athletes' lives. Watched this first with their sister channel GCN.

Ain't this the GTN version? 🤔
@@dsd6538 there was a 20 min-ish version on Marks journey on gtn at the time.
Watching this whilst training for Celtman 2025. This has made me want it even more. Excellent documentary.

All of these people are phenomenal but OMG OLE! So much respect!
Great to see Fraser back out with Mark.
Heroes 💪🏼💪🏼!
all of them but I give it to Mark because it requires exceptional mental strength to achieve what he did by simply being a normal guy without any big life issues (at least from the way I see things). So well done to Mark. Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional!
That’s awesome!!!!🎉
Amazing. Thank you GTN
Glad you enjoyed it
This is amazing. Mark you beat my flat, barely wetsuit legal Ironman Texas time by 2 hours. You still got it lol.
This looks spectacular. And magical. One-day....one day...
Legends! 💪
great movie. Thanks GTN
If Mark and Ole could do the whole Xtri~series that would be an awesome thing to watch!
What an excellent job framing this video/movie. Norseman is also a dream for me, however I don’t think I can bring together such a crew to support me. We’ll see, dreams keep one going. I love GTN!
Thanks so much for the love for the film!
Ole, so great you are training with your son! There are no limits! I would have done the same ❤
great production and storytelling...kudos...and unmatched athletes!
Thank you
Great, great job and video ❤
Respect!
Amazing story , inspirational
It was awesome on GCN+ and I don't like triathlons. It was so well shot and edited that it was gripping even for a non triathlete!
Well done Mark!
Ole u rock 🙌
What a awesome documentary
Thank you!
Always been on my bucket. Did Alaskaman and it was one of my favorites
Wow!
Was it very difficult??
@na-dk9vm was trained to do about a 13 hr ironman, took 18 hours.
Cramped like crazy in 45 degree water, bike was windy along the highway, and run was at a ski hill. You even crossed the Winner Creek Hand Tram which was sweet.
Hardest event I've done, so happy I did it.
@@jeremyscherbert7336 amazing ..
@jeremyscherbert7336 from a 13hr IM to 18hrs in this, that's serious!! Would you do something like it again?? Is there harder triathlons out there??
Looks exciting!
Ole is a great human
Having done 2 Ironman races myself w rules for no outside support, I am intrigued w the teamwork and support to the athletes in this event!!!
Congratulations!! I'm training for my first half Ironman and don't have outside support planned. How do you go about it? Are the race organizers "support"?
Amazing video!
45:45
😂😂😂 Such a great angle
Yeah I took a screenshot of that
Ole you're awesome , i have a similar story , i only did a marathon ,
Fraser’s face on the run 😂 stealth. The vikings following Ole 🎉
One of my favourite GCN+ videos
One day!
Ive wondered how Fraiser has been. Followed GTN for a long time and missed seeing him on the channel.
Great video! Would love to see a Norsewoman.
We need an update on Ole!! Please.
Today I learned, I'm older than Mark (by like 2 years). Young whippersnapper will forever be known as "little bro" going forward.
This needs to be televised and promoted world wide..KONA? Kona who? (sorry KONA).
perfect...
@GTN when you're totaling up your training time during the week should we include time from the warm up/ warm down or would you only count the time doing your main sets?
Question: this was the 2019 Norseman. Why is this just coming out now?
We had a separate video that went on RUclips at the time (that you may have seen already). This video, with a different story, went on GCN+ (which is now no more). We thought we would release it as we near the 1 million subscriber mark 😊
What an Amazing achievement!!!!
Having just completing my first full Ironman, I have just a glimpse of what finishing a race like this would take.
Congratulations again and thank you for the content.
I got lucky for 2025🎉🎉
Ah, it looks like its beginning to rain...
