    Awesome detailed review 🤙
    10:25 This is the reason I chose the N25 as my daily trainer. The B8 felt very bulky and lacked flexibility, almost like my basketball shoes.

    great review, thx Tim! i tried on the nimbus, loved the upper, but it was just a bit too clunky. something draws me towards the bondi, it's just such a big fat friendly behemoth. anyways, i might wait for #9.

    I'm using bondi 8. Apart from the weight I also tend to issue with the wide sole. The shoes touch each occasionally and tripped me once. But they are very stable.

      I totally get that. I've had that issue before. Have a great day and stay safe.

    What shoes do you recommend for tarsel tunnel / post tib pain discomfort? I run but also stand on concrete all day and can't find anything that helps

    What’s your opinion of the Brooks Ghost Max or the Cloud 5 as a slower type shoe but best for long walks compared to the Hoka Bondi 8?

    It’s interesting looking at these max cushion shoes. My usual size is a men’s 13 so regardless of the shoe they can run a little heavy. Some of these shoes like the Bondi or even the nimbus start to really tip the scale. Has me wonder whether it’s worth it for all that cushion

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  Год назад +1

      I agree with you Matt. Especially when we have shoes like the Novablast 3 that are both light and highly cushioned. Have a great day and stay safe!

    I had the Bondi 7 but it didn't work for my duck feet. The Nimbus looks nice but the Magnify 2 seems like it might be more versatile. One reviewer described it as stable for a neutral shoe, too.

    Which shoes makes you feel taller when you put them on?

  • @samlucas1621

    Question: which is best for marathons?
    .
    Disclaimer: I'm not a great runner and my pace is rather slow. I have terrible issues with blisters and ancle problems over a mid to long distance. My intention for the marathon is not for a good clock time, but for comfort and ease and durability on my joints and skin.
    Would appreciate any feedback.

      my experience: Bondi 8, leg feels ok doesn't hurt after long runs. Nimbus 26 (haven't tried the 25) is too soft and drains energy, leg feel fatigue after long runs. nimbus 26 definitelty softer and mushier than bondi 8, but for me the 8 is better for longer runs.

    Thanks for this review. I've never bought a premium shoe but have been considering the Bondi 8. I'm not a runner but do walk around 10km+ most days. I occasionally experience arthritis caused by gout and also have dealt with plantar fasciitis. Seems like either of those shoes would be good for me. Do you have any other suggestions for shoes I should look at?

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes these are both good choices. Lots of cushion. Another highly cushioned shoe is the Saucony Triumph. It might be worth checking out. Have a great day and stay safe!

    Are these good for standing. I'm on my feet a lot, and I'm a bit heavier guy. Which one would you recommend? Great comparison BTW

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  Месяц назад +2

      Hi and yes they are both great for long days on your feel. Which one depends a little on what you are looking for. The Bondi 8 I think are slightly more stable and easier on my ankles and the Gel Nimbus 25 is softer and a little more bouncy midsole. Have a great day and stay safe.

      For my recovery and easy run I’ve been picking up the New Balance Fresh Foam X More V 4. I also like the ASICS Novablast 3. I’ve been doing my speed work in the Adios Pro 3’s. Have a great day.

    Hi, I was looking for a good shoe for good walking and light running considering my metatarsalgia and fairly hollow foot
    The sports store recommended me.
    1) Hoka Bondi 8
    2) Brooks Ghost 15
    3) Saucony triumph 20
    4) Asic Gel Nimbus 25
    I normally have the 7 , 7,5 sizewith arch support
    He had me try the 9 of the Hoka, and 8.5 of the others saying it's better, because they fit small etc etc
    What do you think? Any advice for my metatars problem?
    Thanks

    • @RunTall
      @RunTall  11 месяцев назад +5

      So I'd scratch the Brooks Ghost 15 from the list. They are a great workhorse but not the max cushion the others are on the list. The Asics Gel Nimbus is a little too squishy for me. If you are in good health with strong ankles I think they work but I've beed dealing with tendonitis and they've bothered it some. I don't have the Triumph 20 but I do have the Triumph 19, I prefer the Hoka Bondi 8 over the 19 for wearing around town and shopping. I have been wearing them for everyday use for sometime and they are working great. They do have a wide platform which makes the stable and a soft midsole that gives you lots of comfort. Have a great day.
