man everyone that’s buying celicas are getting the action package 😭 and i’m struggling to find some trd parts in general wtfff haha nice car tho hoping my celica gets its parts one day
Even tho I drive the celica gt version with the trd kit on it.It's smiles all the way .I get such alot of attention from it .such a great car to keep 👍🤩
2002 was the lowest redline of any 2zz = celica, matrix or corolla. Get that redliner9k ecu and tune. Nice car and perfect color! Im looking for one too
TRD action package (yes action package includes both the trd and the Tsunami type kits depending upon year) Celicas did not come from the factory with a trd badge in the front grill, just the Toyota symbol. Also, no the rear gts emblem is not supposed to be crooked, it was clearly removed and re mounted at some point. You definitely should drop her coils, the 7th gen Celicas just scream out for it since they came looking like lifted trucks. 17s look much better, but 18s are best if you want to fill the wheel gap. I roll on 18x9.5s.
I have the Megan Racing Coilovers on some 18x9.5 (215/35/R18) wheels and I agree that it's the perfect look and feel. The car handles incredibly well when dropped 1.25" front and rear on some wide wheels in combination with some Strut bars/Sway Bars. I've gone around corners at speeds I would be terrified to do in most other cars, regardless of modifications - and it does so confidently. The only issue I have with the Celicas is the scarcity of Forced Induction and other actual power adders. I was looking into trying out a AMR500 supercharger and seeing if it would flow well enough to add power to the 2zz but information is very limited. Congrats on your purchase!
@@Raymo2u Definitely better to go the super charger route instead of turbo, the 7th gen suffers more from low end power loss. Also more stable. I'm on Tein SSP coils with full struts & sways. Upgraded brakes rotors, pads, lines and much more.
@@PeaJayYt Also if you go with something more fitted like 9.5x18 be careful to get the right offset and roll your fenders. Depending upon your drop and offset even with 17s you may still need to roll them.
Correction it does not bolt straight up. You have to cutout a portion of the inner pan (baffle) out to get it to fit the 2zz pickup tube. Once you do THAT then yes it bolts up.
You convinced me a few days ago I meet a local legend and builder in the celica world . As took in my sixth gen gt4 to get tuned by him and he offered me his 7th gen gts with 10 k on the block and trans . I think I’m going to jump on it after your video I had no idea the 2zz made close to 200hp stock
@PeaJay can't blame ya, I picked up an 01 gts but haven't decided if I'm going to keep it long term ..needs a little cosmetic tlc but I scooped up cheap I could def make some money off it and flip it to fund 1 of 2 cars I always wanted a 300zx z32 or 3000gt. Reason I wouldn't keep is because I already have a nice 04 matrix xrs that has the same 2zz 6spd as the celica
@@PeaJayYt thats a steal. Hardly broken in. I have spectra blue 02 gts 6spd as well bought it in 2002 from showroom. Currently has 398k miles. It's still in mint condition inside and out.
Can't go wrong with a beautiful Celica GTS. Looks great man! Hope you do some more videos on the car!

Get a baffled oil pan. You can find em on the 1zz. Bolts stratit up. Helps with the 2zz oil starvation issues during cornering
Morosso oil pan is perfect for these

Man this celica brings back memories Congratulations on your GTS you gonna enjoy it but get that 2000 2001 ECU it revs to 8400 RPM
Dayum this is sexy as fuck this looks amazing. The gold rims looks amazing on the blue body. I have a tsunami gts
Sweet Congrats. Reminds me of my highschool car a 1989 Toyota Supra turbo. That car was so fun . Enjoy and besafe
Your celica looks beautiful. I have a celica and I got some things I want to do to it.
