    Another great video mate. Completely agree with the drilling. Using an SDS makes the hole that little bit too big for those screws without plugs. I use the Bosch bits, can’t fault them.

      Thank you mate, yeah the Bosch bits are perfect!!!

    I know it’s a matter of opinion but I prefer the look of the Hypervault especially with the various choice of RGB lights and displays and it’s a fraction of the price of an Anderson. Great upload keep em coming.

      There certainly is enough chargers on the market to accommodate everyone’s tastes these day luckily, thank you, will do!!

    Exactly what i was looking for. So Zappi has got better solar availability ?

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yes it certainly does, if you have solar go for the zappi

      @@sotaelectrical Thank you. I do like the look of Andersen charger, but reading some of the comments made me sway towards Zappi. Thanks

      @@sotaelectrical one more question - i have a Rolec charger atm, want to replace it with Zappi, will electrician have to replace current cable (16meters) or can it be simply swapped ? Also the CT clamp- does it connect to charger itself ( so runs along 16 meters of cable ) ?

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  6 месяцев назад

      @@maruda80 you need a cat5 cable to be installed for the CT so if you don’t have an EV ultra cable installed then you have three options, 1) install an EV ultra cable. 2) install a separate cat5 cable from your charger to you meter tails or 3) as a last resort, with the zappi you can install a ‘Harvi’ and connect a CT to that and connect it remotely to the zappi.

    Just out of interest, how long does it take you to do a job like this? Class job to be fair 👌

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  11 месяцев назад

      Roughly about 6 hours that took but doing the filming adds to the time so take that into account

      @@sotaelectrical no corners cut, neat install. I was thinking a days work for this in terms of price. I hate these EV companies doing these shit jobs, installing shit materials and them monopolising the industry. Good to see a person who values there work 👍

      @@rjkelectrical6086 yeah a days work agreed. I really hate them too!! I’ve seen some advertise full install in an hour!! Just how!! How can you install and test in an hour?? It’s got bodge written all over it.

    can you not install an EV with a loop supply? because my house is on a loop supply if so why can't you install it with a loop supply?

    • @sotaelectrical
      @sotaelectrical  11 месяцев назад +1

      No you can’t install an EV charger on a looped supply because the the DNO are concerned that the supply cables do not have the capacity for the additional load on two properties.

    • @mikekirwin3720
      @mikekirwin3720 6 месяцев назад

      You can install an ev charger on a looped supply, but a ENA form has to be submitted to the relevant DNO for their approval. If the charger installed has dynamic load limiting then normally it would be ok. But pre-approval has to be sought first.

      You can fit on a looped supply but you need approval. I was approved on a job with it limited until it was unlooped

    My wife insisted that we get an Andersen even though it was so expensive. Soon found out that the firmware is rubbish if you want to use it to charge your EV using excess solar.
