not quite. JEaM is more complex, its the same concept (c minor pentatonic scale with dotted quarter delay), but JEaM has different parts and chords compared to TSH. radiohead played that TSH outro for most AMSP era performances of the song
After listening all the new songs over and over, while Teleharmonic might be the most beautiful, I think this is the best of the lot, at least for me at the present moment (constantly changes heh).
It ain't really a new one, they played it at their debut in worthy farm (2021) and the few shows they did before the album release (: truly one of my favorites though, can't wait to hear a proper studio version
WOW! They Keep AMAZING me over AND over with these unreleased songs. This one blows my mind! Its very different from their previous songs. Jonny doesnt plays any riff, he plays scales up AND down over AND over until The end. And ITS just perfect!! He masters The guitar as other instruments as no other musicians can! And The feeling of The song, The Energy of Thom Yorke dancing AND his flawless keyboard playing! Everything Is perfect!! Another work of art from this AMAZING band!!!!! And a great video AND audio AND The perfect magic moment that you captured... thanks Man!!
this, teleharmonic, the opposite, thin thing, a hairdryer and the same are literally my favourite the smile songs. but why didnt they play it on any of the shows during this last tour?
@@Chinaboatman I doubt they would do that considering that this was one of the first songs they made as the smile, additionally I can't really see how they would fit the rest of the band in there.
@@Chinaboatman Given that the main riff started out being played over the end of a 2016 live performance of Talk Show Host, it might end up becoming a Radiohead song after all - not a bad thing other than the wait involved for a new Radiohead album which could be until 2026/2027 at this rate. Either that or it finally shows up on an EP (maybe for Record Store Day 2024?) or Smile LP3.
I was at this show. What a performance. But I do not think they play Free in the Knowledge at this show (description suggests they played all songs from LP1)
To me, these two are so far from the bored rock stars we see whose music became a bland parody of their earlier work, whose money and fame take away all the fire to make cool shit. I won’t name names, but we can all name a few bands who need a roadmap to find how out of touch they are. These guys still seem like they are just into making music, and that’s all you really need.
I think this is the best Jonny has ever played Just Eyes and Mouth. He nailed it so hard.
Thankyou for centering this on Jonny, what a track my God
Does Jonny ever age? He still looks like a teenager lol These guys are frickin amazing…and I am a diehard Radiohead fan. Incredible.
the same guitar riff was played in the St Garden show with Radiohead, in the final part of Talk Show Host. Wonderful btw
TRUE

@@RyanRenteriaits pretty clear this is an offshoot of that idea though
@@QKvox i said that. but again its not the same riff. JEaM has actual chord changes
@@RyanRenteria that would make sense with a few years of development of that riff
Actually an old song! They played it in the original debut set at Glastonbury 2021 and just left it off the album for some reason.
Some Robert Smith vibes in Thom’s voice here, love it

I agree dude! The guitar riff is just SO. GOOD. I think this song has as much single potential as that new soundcheck song.
for me its bending hectic, i just cant get over it

Makes me so afraid that it’s a dead b side and really that track deserves better.

it's a shame this isn't making it to LP2, I always thought it would make a great opening track. Maybe LP3 I guess.
I just hope they don't give it to Radiohead :(
@@Chinaboatman I doubt they would do that considering that this was one of the first songs they made as the smile, additionally I can't really see how they would fit the rest of the band in there.
Such a shame, they put Waving A White Flag on LP1 instead of this. It's the weakest song imo, but others probably think the exact opposite so oh well.

It's going to be included in their third album which is gonna be released in October 😀

I was there and yeah they didn't play FITK

The Smile feels like they write by jamming, while Radiohead feels very meticulous.
@@BullyMaguire4everfeel same…
Proof that the fewer members you have, the more prolific you can be. Duos and trios have a tendency to just write faster than larger bands.
A song about legos
Selway dijo que radiohead puede tener nuevo material en 2 años y este tema no va a salir en el 2do LP por ende esto sale fijo pero con radiohead.
Sale mañana en el LP3
