I love Radiohead and The Smile and everything these guys do ...but this doesn't really go anywhere or do it for me. I dont want to hear fanboys crying about my comment. Its just my opinion and i have albums worth of their work i can adore every day. But this isnt it.
I think the album version might be really good. The guitar part seems quite difficult to nail perfectly. When it isn't perfect, the song sort of falls apart easily. Also the song does sort of meander along too slowly in like 3/4 into the song. Hopefully they figure it out in the studio!
Respect your opinion but you gotta treat these as demo version of future songs. They’ve obviously written a lot of these new songs whilst touring and it will probably sound a lot more refined if they decide to release a studio version of it

Feels like a work in progress - some Radiohead songs took many years to get finished (Nude for example).
