I have the Destination XT and love them. Rides good and quiet. Snow and wet traction has been great. I've had them for about 4.5 years and haven't had any issues with them.
TFL recently did a snow performance comparison of these versus the KO3 and AT4W, these XTs performed on par with the KO3s and much better than the Falken.
I realize it is just a tire comparison but thank you very much for creating content about the Ranger. There is a crapload of content, mostly mediocre, about the Ranger Raptor but I think there are, and will be, far more “regular “rangers that people own and will want to customize. Thanks again.
Thee most underrated AT tire on the market. I said this back in 2020!! Wish they made them in a 37”. Absolutely loved mine up here in Canada. Best AT winter traction tire on the market and Ive used duratrac, ko2, at3, maxxis 811 and nitto atw and g2w. Come on FS, make a 37” please!!!!
You should bring in the Falken Rubitrek A/T. Its an underrated tire that sits where the at3/w used to sit price-wise and is supposed to perform just the same and quieter on the road than either at3w or at4w
@freedomisntfree_44 yup 👍🏼 I have them as well on my Jeep GC because of the price and similarities. But because I'm considering of trading in for a pickup and looking at the Ranger XLT, thanks to these guys' build, I would like to see how they look and perform. There's not that many reviews on these tires and it would be great to see their input 💯%
Thanks for the video, considering Wild Peaks…but I like the FS Destinations. Stock 24 Ranger XLT 2.7l FX4….The wranglers kick rocks even when I drive 20 yards on packed gravel at our cardboard recycling yard haha
Amen, the stock wranglers are just a solid miss. Both falken and firestones are a huge improvement both on road and off. We prefer the firestones to the falkens in our testing. Hard to go wrong with either. Congrats on the 2.7!
One thing i see a lot on ranger reviews forums is to get load range c and not load range E, I wonder how many people are aware the C tire often weighs more by a 1-3lbs. I've had the wildpeak at3 they were a good tire. I generally will run toyo open country unfortunately they dont make their at2 anymore but generally the weight of the toyo was less than the wildpeak and ko2/3 by 5-8lbs which is a lot of extra rotational weight for a daily driver. It looks like these destinations are even light than the toyos albeit 0.9lbs. Firestone reps must be hard at work reaching out to content creators, TFL put the at3w, k03 and XT tires against each other and basically same 3 tires spoken about here.
I'm pretty sure the Firestones are lighter since they have 1 less ply and possibly 1 less belt in them compared to the Falkens. So even though they're E rated...I think the standard Wildpeaks are just as strong. Same with KO2/KO3.
One of the main reasons the KO2's are so good is because of the sidewall strength! Strongest 💪 AT in the market besides then Mickey Thompson Baja boss... Cool video guy's! My factory tires were 37 lb & my E-rated KO2's are 53 lb each. 🤷

That was our experience as well. Except for our set of K03’s struggled with balancing.

I’ve seen a few videos now where the AT4 Falcon tires are not as good as the AT3
Seems like they may have given up some snow traction in favor of increased longevity.

I got these because they were on sale and not the at3, I think the side wall is the same or at least really similar. I like them so far 👍

@@TexasTruckChannel thanks, really enjoying the truck and the Ranger content here.
Wish they had the XT’s in more size options. Would buy them in a today in a 255/80 17.
Yes! That would be the perfect size for my 4Runner.

Great video, gents!
Thanks!

AT4W
@Icutmetal Correct
Any difference in mpg between the 3 tires

The XT’s were lighter before the KO3’s and AT4W’s came along.
I tried E rated on my Tacoma it was a huge mistake. Even aired down they were stiff as a board. Took them off a few weeks later.
That has been our experience in the past as well. These E rated Firestones ride great. They feel like the SL rated Falkens that we had on previously.
