One of my uni profs was in Justin's masters thesis group. Justin Trudeau's master's thesis was "Cleaning products: are they bad for the environment?". His masters thesis. Not even the funniest part, apparently he had the gall to use a photo of a house that belonged to one of the judges and said "see this house? beautiful house, but it's probably cleaned with all kinds of dangerous cleaning products" to which the judge replied "actually i use a homemade vinegar-based solution to clean my windows", to which Justin replied "huh". At the end of his thesis presentation, when you answer questions from the judges for 15 minutes, Justin Trudeau said "I have time for 1 question". The judges said "What are you talking about? this is your masters, you answer questions for 15 minutes" to which Justin replied "I have a meeting to go to".
Yeah, but not better by a margin that will prevent our extinction from capitalism, climate change, and endless war. That's really the standard; does somebody move our hurtling trajectory away from disaster enough? And neoliberals don't.

It's kind of bizarre they had this whole conversation without mentioning jagmeet singh. To me a social democratic party running to the left again on and making gains in the polls is more interesting than anything they said about Trudeau. Like it would have taken about 5 minutes to sum up everything they had to say. Kinda disappointing.
While weirdly downplaying Harper too glossing over his take over of the Progressive Conservatives (via Reform Party consolidation) and openly wanting to Americanize Canada.
Just the entire fact that Canada was too worried about voting in an Indian so they just voted in a white guy that dresses like one really deserves a mention.

Been enjoying your videos, but the downplaying and misdirection on the things Trudeau "has done" was straight up propaganda level misinformation. For starter "What has he done" the obvious and immediate response is "legalized marijuana", which you didn't even mention (!!!), the child credit was super beneficial to poorer families, Canada took a large number of refugees, but taking less than certain EU country makes sense due to distance. The tax cut was mischaracterized it lowered taxes for the median income and also poorer people and disproportionately didnt help the rich (after they got a tax raise earlier). Really pretty disingenuous.
The thing I've noticed is at least in contrast to the states, Canada is a very progressive utopia. Growing up in a very hardline Christian family in Ontario, there's plenty of social issues that are constantly run through the legislator in the states that we as a country kind of have this political understanding with conservative politican that we understand you are against these things, but attempting to even bring these to the legislative floor will result in political suicide.
