    Patreon member here. I just got my set of 6.2’s an hour ago. I got it based on the numerous Lyngdorf reviews and the 6.2 reviews (obviously!). BTW great reviews. Good info and entertaining as always. I have them hooked up to a Luxman 507z, I use a WIIM pro to a NAD M51 DAC. They replace my Canton 9.2 DC’s. My room is 15x15 and only mildly treated.
    Sound is exceptional. A large soundscape, open but precise. Non-fatiguing. Sound has heft. So far wonderful. Bass is deep and articulate. I was concerned my Luxman may not have the umph, but I have plenty of headroom left. The vertical off axis falls away pretty quickly, but for a dedicated listening room no issue. I also have some Thiel CS2.4, which are very accurate but tilt to brightness.

    The A10 have the same kind of woofer. But being a closed box it cant achieve nearly as much bass.
    A driver in a bass reflex box is roughly equal to 3 such drivers in a closed box around the tuned frequency of the bass reflex.
    Wich is clearly shown in the comparison with the a10.
    Also in the bass reflex speakers the cone movement is alot less around the tuning frequency since tha port (or the passives) take over.
    Exactly at the tuned frequency the driver dont move hardly at all. This can be seen if playing a pure sine wave at that frequency.
    So a bass reflex speaker will help with intermodulation alot.

    • @stjernholmreviews
      @stjernholmreviews  4 месяца назад +1

      @magnusdanielsson2749 very true. But the Buchardts also use DSP, - meaning EQ and limiting in order to push it even further. It works great at low volume, where the can be linear to 25 Hz 😄.. Great if you live in a small room or apartment, and dont play that loud.. In the test, they are being pushed all the way, and the DSP is not "aware" of the frequency content..

    I have Dali Epicon 2 on Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 in a small room. Could the Radiant Acoustics Clarity 6.2 beat the Epicons?

    • @stjernholmreviews
      @stjernholmreviews  3 месяца назад

      @tangobodo977 I dont think there is such thing as "beating" another good speaker, as almost everything that makes up a great speaker to you will be subjective, right?
      The Radiant offers something very different that might or might not be more or less of what you like.
      The Epicon will sound more "laidback" maybe also a bit "fatter" in the midrange. It has the "Dali sound" a bit sweet, forgiving, cozy, yet a bit excited. Radiant is straight to the point, super clean, dry, presents music way more sculpted. But not as much a party girl as the Epicon. More accountant than party girl. (maybe there is also a party girl accountant somewhere, who knows? 🙂.
      Get a pair, listen in your room and see how you like it. Remember you can save all your setup and roomperfect stuff for the Epicons on the 1120, and make a new setup for the Clarity and switch between them when you compare.
      That way, you will know what beats what for you 🙂. Keep us posted about the experience!

      Mine are 83 bB/4 ohm and an Atoll AM400 has total control with plenty of headroom. I believe a stable amp with good power supply with around 200w/4 ohm should be adequate. I would advice class AB because pairing the already so precise Purifi drivers with class D could possible end up a little to ´dry´. I admit being not the biggest fan of class D (only for subwoofer) so this is preference. Don´t get me wrong, it would be a shame to underpower these to miss out on the full potential of these drivers but it shouldn´t cost a fortune 😊 I suppose an Audiolab 8300 XP should be also great for less money 👍🏻

Whaat? 🤪 If you want total silence and neutrality going for super low distortion all around is the way to go.. Otherwise, you should go for speakers with way more "color". Ofcurse, its always about finding the balance you like the best, but the Purifi Eigentakt amp tech and Clarity speaker combo is just amazing if you are chasing clean as a top priority.

    • @stjernholmreviews
      @stjernholmreviews  4 месяца назад

      @goodsound4756 👌 The Bucharest does not care about the placement, they work great on the side, where you can sit nicely in between the 360 radiating waveguide and woofer. Placement is done in order to be able to ABCD switch as fairly as possible in a non-critical listening session to give the team a chance to disinquish between them, without much movement. There is rubber feet in beween all the speakers to isolate them a bit. For the buchardt results, they are simply a product of pushing the low-end in order to get them linear to 25 Hz in a CLOSED, very small cabinet. It works, but only at very low volume, witch is totally fair :-) I even used the wall filter that takes out bass for the test, where all speakers was against the wall, AND roomcorrected, - that should take care of most of any room boundary issue. The clarity works better in the extremes due to the passive woofers and other things.

    😅😅😅schon der Chassis Preis für diesen 6.5" Treiber ist ein Witz! 480€. Dafür bekommt man auch einen Richtigen Tieftöner

      Price is high, I admit and would like to see it cheaper but compared to all my previous drivers from SB Acoustics, Seas and Scan Speak these Purifi 6.5" are really something else 😊
      The accuracy was unknow for me before, not that all other speakers were bad but there was always something small bothering me with some tracks 🤪 from the first note I was surprised, my brain even needed some time to adapt 😅

    • @jcvscorner

      Was ist denn ein "richtiger" Tieftöner - bzw. wieso sind es die Purifis nicht? Die Purifis sind egal wer sie misst die am besten performensten Treibereinheiten. "Echter" als das gehts kaum oder?

      @jcvscorner I think he is relating to the size, missing the point that its all about what is possible in a small package. If you can go bigger, there is no reason for selecting a small speaker in the first place. :-)

    yeah 4000 euro is not affordable. get some Arendal instead

    • @stjernholmreviews
      @stjernholmreviews  3 месяца назад +1

      @Gassten Value has nothing to do with the stack of money. That will always be relative to your wallet. In this case, you have €20.000 speakers that the radiant challenges... Check out a pair of €2.500 DALI Rubikore 2 instead (they are really great!) , and be careful with the Arendals. While they are lovely build quality, but I found them to cause listening fatigue, like due to issues at the crossover point. I found them to be quite nasal sounding and also power demanding (tested the Arendal 1723 Monitor THX). You can find the review on rec.dk.
