Really enjoy this machine . We owned one of the earliest models and it worked great for many years. Yes, it isn’t as fast on the k-cup side and for those in serious need or a hurry😊 I imagine it seems slow. But we just preloaded it and set the timer and woke up to the wonderful smell of coffee. When we retired and went RVing for a few years and we really missed it (too big for our rig) but 1 of our kids took it and it’s still going strong many years later. We got back into a sticks and bricks home 3 yrs ago and immediately bought the newest model then and have no regrets.
Thanks so much for sharing your experience! My wife and I felt the same way about ours. Definitely a reliable machine on multiple fronts. Take care and I hope you have a great day!
I couldn’t agree with you more! For instance, my wife and I use the k-cup side frequently, but we’ll often have company over for game nights, and you can bet that we put the coffee pot side to work. Lol So glad that you’re enjoying it!
My parents had a flex brew and just made the switch back to a Keurig k-duo. Honestly the flex brew isn’t bad It all boils down to personal preference. However I do agree with you on the pros and cons of the flex brew especially when having to refill the reservoir every time just to make a single cup of coffee
Absolutely! I have family members that own the Keurig equivalent and they love it. At the end of the day, Hamilton’s equivalent saves you a bit of money, but there’s no doubting Keurig’s quality. There’s days that I wish the reservoir was bigger, but then again, I also don’t have to deal with the problem of algae buildup, which is a hidden blessing. Take care and thanks so much for commenting!
After having used both types of coffee maker, one with a reservoir and one without, I can say that I like the one without the reservoir. And the reason is wherever there is standing water there's algae and other biologics. The water that you get out of a reservoir is not as clean as putting fresh water in every time you make a cup. From a sanitary standard, that's how I base my decision on these things
I just got one , I’m a lil disappointed that you can’t pick the oz of coffee you want to prepare. You can’t full both reservoirs with water and pick how much you want to use. You have to put exactly how much coffee you want. I used a standard k cup and fill up with water think it’s going to ask what size but instead it was 14 oz and ruined my k cup so with both coffee marker and kcup I have to make sure I have to put exactly how much water if not it’s going to use 12 cups or 14 oz k cup
I couldn’t agree more! It’s definitely a detriment if you want the convenience of brewing your coffee quickly. It took me awhile to get use to that. The trade-off of having two coffee makers in one is what ultimately won me over. Have a great day and take care!
I just bought one that was on sale for $59.99 at Kohl’s. After using my Kohl’s $50 gift card, I made out like a bandit and paid under $15 after taxes. Your review is the best out there. Thank you for really leaving me feel like I made a good choice. I did quickly look at reviews before buying, but your video “sealed the deal.” Thank you! God bless you.😁
Whoa that’s awesome! Kohl’s is the best. Their deals are always top notch. Thanks so much for the encouraging words! I’m glad that this coffee maker was just what you needed. I still use it myself and have no regrets. The brew basket for the k-cup side is a game-changer for my wife and I. Take care, be blessed and have a great day!
Perhaps it was a good idea to have a small reservoir on the cup side since the water can sit there stagnant and forgotten for longer periods of time promoting bacterial growth and not everybody will clean the machine regularly.
As someone who's owned this coffee pot for two years, I wholeheartedly agree with you! Over time I've come to prefer the smaller reservoir for that exact reason. Take care and thanks for commenting!
Great question! Press the “set time“ button. The hour number is going to flash, and you’ll hit that button several times until you arrive at the hour that you want. Let it sit for a few seconds, and then the minutes are going to flash. Press that button until you arrive at the time that you want. After this, let it sit for a few seconds, and it will lock in that time. Hopefully this helps!
I just can't get on board with this one , I've had a regular Keurig for some years years that when I got this one and it took 2 minutes and 15 seconds to brew one single kcup I had to return it that completely ruins the whole point of the kcup it may as well not even have the option , I use a pour over if I want good coffee the keurig duo has the tank preheat the water and makes a cup almost instantly compared to this one .good video but better models make this seem dated ,Cuisinart and ninja also make faster brewing machines
I totally respect that! I happen to be a Hamilton fan myself, but I know others that are pro Keurig and love it. For me, a big selling point with Hamilton is the large k-cup basket filter. You can buy the k-cup sized filter for any of the Keurig machines, but the problem is that they’re really small. With the Hamilton basket, it leaves plenty of room for grounds, allowing you to brew a strong single cup of joe without using the pot. Again, definitely see where you’re coming from regarding brew time! Keurig is fantastic and I love what they’re doing. Hamilton allows me to pocket some cash and gives me one more useful way to brew. Take care and thanks for reaching out!
Hello! This video is my “light” review of the product, and not a “walkthrough” video. That said, I’m working on creating a set of future videos that include an unboxing, an instructional walkthrough and a review of each coffeemaker. If you have any specific questions, I’m happy to answer them here in the comments. Take care and hopefully this helped to clarify my intentions with this video!
I’ve experienced the same thing! Even when you take the bottom platform out, it can still be a tight fit. I’ve collected shorter mugs overtime to accommodate the coffee maker. Take care and thanks for commenting!
Lasts around 3-4 months before the K cup side comepletly stops working, no way to maintenance it, and the warranty requires you pay to ship it so they can deny you warranty and demand you pay to ship it back. DO NOT BUY.
Ahh man! Sorry to hear about your negative experience with this coffee maker. Mine’s still going strong, but I’ve not had to undergo the warranty process, so I know very little about that. Did you end up getting a new coffeemaker? If so, which one did you get?
Oh wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience. While I've had no issues with my own machine, I know that it completely depends on the individual machine. May I ask what other machine you ended up going with? I'm always curious about other models.

I love this coffee maker. I got this one and it seems to work amazing. I love how it has both options. For a full pot or just k-cups or a single cup

@@gameswithdenverjames There is a HUGE price difference. Keurig is overpriced.

I couldn’t agree more! It’s nice for the machine to get a chance to dry a bit between uses.
Being a Certified Registered Central Service Tech (aka, sterile processing tech), I couldn’t agree with you more!👍🏼
I absolutely love this coffee machine
It’s a great machine!! Very reliable!
So, does the pot half use standard filter pads/sheets?
Yes it does!
@@gameswithdenverjames that's all I needed to know.
I love my FlexBrew.
Same here! In my humble opinion, it’s the best option for the money.

i can't believe when designing this machine that they didn't make sure to retro fit a water filter on the single serve side
I’m with you on that! That would’ve been a very helpful feature. Hopefully they add a filter of sorts to the future model.

That’s really cool! So you actually have a rare, older version of the Trio (model no. 49904). I love that it’s got that reservoir in the back of it.
