- On one of my most recent parts hunts to CEX, I managed to stumble upon a very rare and elusive GPU - the AMD R9 Fury X from 2015. Brandishing the latest and greatest tech at the time, it was meant to be an absolutely insane answer to Nvidia's GTX 980Ti. However, it's been almost 8 years since this card's release and official support has been dropped for some time. I wanted to see how much life I could get from such an unique beast, so today I have built a $400 Gaming PC with the Fury X as its centerpiece.

Yo nice build, that GPU is a collector’s item. Sooooo rare. Build looks great and preforms very nicely despite the age of the parts, i’m amazed that it could play unbound at all because I have an A770 16gb and that game chews through 9gb at 1080p med. The R5 2600 also held up well for it’s age. Great build and video man👍
yeah the frostbite engine has always been hell on hardware unfortunately, especially on the past few nfs games
@@lifelightv2 Fr, NFS games have some of the worst optimization these days, my brothers 3080 12gb doesn’t like them much and sometimes wont even open them.
It runs the games pretty good at 1440p ultra when it works but there’s often crashes and windows complains about the drivers being incompatible with them, same goes for my A770
