    Your teaching skills Jared,are excellent. Had 6 winning days this week. Today wasnt one. Decided to chase after hours. Got out fairly quickly,taking a small loss. At one point,I'd have held,thinking it will come back. Its dropped about 30.00 more,after selling. Pre an after hours require Disapline. No stops. Your lessons have taught me that an to wait for the right entry's. Dont know why I broke my plan an chased one way outside the plate. Can't hit homers like that. Will think twice,next at bats. Thanks Jared for all you do to help us.

    Great jared. Right when I just came out of a slump, this video appeared. Can’t agree enough of the fact that tracking your trades and analyzing them well of what’s working and what’s not saves you a lot of future losses and cuts your learning curve dramatically. You begin to act objectively in your trading and hesitations becomes less prevalent as you know what the probability of that setup working.

    right time for that lecture - i come from one of the best streaks to one of the worst now
    but i try to take your advice "the lower timeframe failure confirms the higher timeframe trend", so after the 80% rule i need something more on a higher timeframe to get interested again, and then something really nice on a lower timeframe again

    jared thank you very much i had a bad month so far im down 2% i been evaluating my trades i need to take time out not look at or trade the market for a week leave what is look at scalps with small losses, trades that dint work ,skyrockets that were duds, over size trades tight stops wide stops its been tough with tech issues and lots of slippage orders skipped combination slump in January 2023 news cataylists that traded great at first but banged down! pardon my spelling and step back ponder and access why this multi type slump happen and correct or adjust slightly my systems my wife called me on out on a oversized GLD trade i did and lost a little bit so i raised my stop to end or stay in the trade and i got out at a .05% loss so i stopped trading to readjust my psychology and reboot refresh my mind go to the beach and just surf

    Insanity versus success?! definition of insanity is continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
    Definition of success is to go from failure to failure with continued enthusiasm. These definitions sound eerily similar. Got to walk a fine line.

    Hi Jared, Love your vids. Have learned a lot from them. I was wondering if you have or can you do a video on conviction. I am struggling with that a lot. I see the trade setup but I just cannot seem to pull the trigger. I have fear of losing and I always find an excuse on why not to trade (e.g it has a bottom wick so do not short while the whole market is going down, the stock is below all its level and is not over extended etc).

  • @FaintAura

    If you don't reduce your size as a day trader, that's one thing... but if you're, for instance, a breakout swing trader in a bear market and you don't reduce size, your account will get destroyed (unless you can short well).

    Thanks again Jared for telling it like it is; for beating the dead horse so to speak. It is so easy to veer off from our trading plan when a losing streak comes along like it did this past week. I never felt like this, I've had one day here and there, but 4 days in a row with a weekend in between and sept was my worst month this year. Then trying all different things forgetting my plan to get back what I lost. Then I stopped, took a day off, watched the market and reevaluated my plan and what I needed to correct, and had a good green day today, no losers. I track everything, I was given a nice excel spread sheet that calculates everything. It works, past data told me, not to trade the first 15 to 20 minutes of the day, before it was FOMO at opening bell, now I relax and let the trade talk to me, and it makes it more enjoyable. Thanks.

    He needs to add the s and p etf to the porfolio 60% etfs %40 stocks to keep the volitility down and doller cost average would been best

    • @Live.Traders
      @Live.Traders  Год назад +1

      The 60/40 portfolio is having it's worst year in over 100 years...ouch! 60/40 stock/bonds is DUMB for ANYONE under 50 years old...I'd even push that to 60 years old. Of course risk tolerance is a different question...However 60 etf and 40 stocks isnt bad...depending on the stocks.
