Anne Burgess and Dr. Gary are the absolute most fascinating speakers on RUclips. I always learn so much from you. And you explain it in such an easy way to just soak in all that knowledge. Thank you all for teaching to keep others safe and to understand. The Interview Room, Surviving the Surviver, AND Hidden True Crime are the best on television without a doubt. Where are your Oscars!!??
John Chris is a great interviewer! He doesn't interrupt and change the subject on his guests, he doesn't put himself in front of the interview. I enjoy his program because he respects his guests (thereby respecting his viewers) and doesn't make himself the focal point, he makes the topic the focal point. It is great to be able to watch a show and not get frustrated with the host. Also, Chris doesn't overload the show with commercials so it is easy to follow the continuity of the show. Great host!!!
Among some podcasts that I have been watching, this is one of my favourite, particularly for the empathy, real compassion, common sense and absence of egocentric tendencies of Mr McDonough 💫👍🏾, in my opinion
Dr. B, thanks so much for mentioning the traffic stop behavior. For a guy who is labeled “weird “ and “awkward “, when It came to schmoozing his way out of a ticket, he was spot on.
I absolutely appreciate Dr. Gary’s emphasis on how mental illness and mass shootings are overblown by the press. I appreciate Dr. Ann’s perspective on focusing on the underlying cause of suicidal people and to always focus on the victimology. What an amazing discussion between brilliant minds.
I could listen to this dialog all day long. Both Dr.s have great knowledge and insight and the ability to impart their knowledge with passion and imagination.😮
Thank you Chris for continuing to bring Dr Burgess and Dr Brucato to your channel for us to watch and learn. I’ve learnt so much from listening to your channel guests.
Sometimes I long for the days when our lives didn't revolve around tech, but not today. What a privilege to get a free master class from Dr. Brucato and Dr. Burgess. THANK YOU!
Thank you for this live, it was both fascinating and informative. I would love to see another one with these two guests specifically on Richard Allen in light of the evidence that has come out in his trial.
Great show!!! The studies and work Dr. Brucato and Dr. Burgess continue to pursue is so important! It is fascinating to be able to 'pick' their very knowledgeable brains !!! Thank you TIR!!
On my second full watch thru tonight I love listening to These 2 brilliant, super knowledgable Forenscic Brainiacs!!! ❤Their books r Fantastic too all!!
This was a great episode, Chris. Can you please have Dr Gary back on to discuss Richard Allen again, now that the explosive defense filing came out and his attorneys suddenly quit? I think more and more something is really wrong here and I agree with Dr Gary that Richard Allen just does not fit this crime. I also don't believe he's being treated well in Westville.
Super deep, rich conversation, analytical theories, & zeroing in on important facts & details with these 3 leaders in criminal psychology & behavior!! Will watch this several times to process & digest all the golden nuggets! 😅❤
Have been looking forward to another discussion with Dr. Burgess and Dr. Brucato. Thank you to Chris, Karen and everyone @ TIR for such an informative and engaging session. This feels like a step forward to be able to systematically study such cases in a meaningful way. I find the book The New Evil an interesting walkthrough of prior cases and also a great way forward in understanding the differences in motivation behind such criminal behaviour.
"It bothered him that people could not be reduced to a science". Thank you for rewarding my insomnia Dr. Brucato. It totally makes sense that he was flummoxed by people and it infuriated him.
I absolutely love Dr. Gary's categorizations and data-based organization of killers. Really helps one understand the motivations behind horrific crimes.
Listening to these experts is akin to taking an advanced graduate course in criminology. Thank you for sharing your research, answering our questions, and for all you do to help make our world a safer place. God bless. 😇❤️
“Going postal” came from my hometown of Edmond, Oklahoma. I was in middle school when that happened, it was a postal worker that showed up and blew everybody away. It was the mid 80’s in a wealthy suburb of OKC and it was quite shocking.
I too, can recall that horrific incident on the World News on my local news 6pm Newscasts when I was in Elementary School. And I live in East KY😢But I also recall as I got older older the phrase ‘Going Postal’ meant someone as some would say today ‘Off the Rails’
So...like usual when you have superb guests, I have to listen at least twice to grasp the finer implications of the discussion. Here I am again, rofl. This one might take more than 2x...thick information, phenomenal discussion! Thx Chris and all!!
I have to do the same sometimes. I listened to an hr and a half of Russell Brand talking about heavy spiritual stuff and had to listen again. Still may listen a third time 😂
I could listen to Dr. Brucato and Dr. Burgess talk about this stuff all day, everyday! Thanks for hosting them on your show again, it’s awesome to see these experts discussing everything together. I feel like I should be paying to hear their expertise, their knowledge is so valuable
Red flag on personality, when BK's father asked the neighbor to be his friend 'cause he didn't know anyone'. Comes off so strange for a father to say about a 28 year old. It's reminiscent of kindergarten maybe, but not at 28
Gary Brucato I love listening to you talk!! Brilliant!! And I love your comments to people! I feel like some aren’t hearing you…they listen but don’t hear what you are actually saying!! Your a wealth of knowledge about this subject and I’m sure plenty of others!
@@MauiGirl he’s fascinating to listen to!! I want him to read his book the new evil! I’d love to hear him interject comments on some of the things I’m reading!!
More of this, please!...also, realizing what little we know of the Delphi suspect doesn't fit what little we know of the crime, it is interesting to note that one of the victims looks exactly like the daughter of the suspect at the time of this crime....?
And that the minute 2 psychologists and 1 psychiatrist decided he didn't need medicine, his behavior returned to normal...he began eating and sleeping again. Personally I think he was faking psychosis maybe to set up an insanity defense...but I'm open to being wrong. Looking forward to more facts being made available.
Thanks Dr. Gary and Dr. Ann you two are amazing at what you do! Can't wait to read the books you have written!! And thanks Chris for all your knowledge! ❤
The psychology is the reason I love true crime. I don’t like the gruesome facts. I want to be able to identify these people, to pick up on the red flags.
Oh my god, so happy to see you back. I am now a subscriber, and so thrilled that your show is on tonight. I will be able to listen to you while I knit!!! 🧶
Excellent send off by both doctors. It is about the victims and saving people from becoming victims. If you sense/see something, do/say something. I couldn't agree more.
I would love to hear Dr. Brucato talk more about his thoughts on Richard Allen because the fact that he has some doubts about Allen fitting the profile of the crime is significant. I’d love to hear more about his opinion on that. He nailed BK to a T before he was arrested.
39:20 The explanation Gary Brucato gave for BK’s grievance seems to fit perfectly. He had a good upbringing, but it didn’t pan out for BK *personally* because of the fact that he never failed to weird-out people.
Thanks so much for your time in analyzing these cases, you guys are the reason I'm studying criminal psychology and forensics come fall switching from psyc soc.i wanna figure out the bad guys, catchem with my mind .get into theirs and putem away
Regarding BK, I think there was enough natural ambient light to walk through the house. The windows and slider did not have the blinds drawn closed. A headlamp would have given any intruder away. I, also, suspect that he might have been in the home before. I recall, XKs mom mentioned that her father came out the weekend before to change lock on her bedroom door. He may not have murdered before this, but I bet he learned to scope things out (Surveil) to Burglarized while in PA starting in H.S. during Heroin use. Three ways to get an adrenaline rush, at age 17.
Thank You to Dr. Burgess, Dr. Gary Brucato for doing tonight's outstanding show. Many Thanks to Chris for having both of You on again. I found I gleaned a lot from both Guests this evening. While I am absolutely no expert in the fields of both Learned Experts I did find Myself agreeing with much that was discussed. For example like Dr. Brucato I have always felt for some reason BK did not dispose of the knife. Wishing You All a very Happy July 4th weekend.

I wonder if warnings he got from the TA job professor in the PhD program for BK was one of the triggers that Dr. B is referring to
Didnt he lose his job way after the murders?
I think there was a trigger which will emerge.
