@@JustH.100 it depends on the play style man, of course you need to watch and adapt, for example he likes to throw the f1+4 after he is on minus frames on certain moves, so I know I have to stop pressing sometimes even if it’s my turn or I’ll get fucked. He is also a friend of mine so I kinda know these habits he got, against flowcharts you need to expect to lose couple matches in order to adapt and kick asses. In general avoid keeping Paul close to you, his demo and throw game is too dangerous. I play Bryan so I like to stay away most of the time. Demo doesn’t KD if it’s not clean hit, stay away.

They throw those panic moves if pressured. Some try df2 randomly to crush jabs against them use df1 more or ss right and punish (people think this is too hard and doesnt do it but its not) hopkick, shoulder and other bullshit u just block if u feel it coming, evwn if it doesnt come it wont cost u anything, so have patience, and punishing them after blocking is important. Then theres the mixup. If the love deathfist, try to step its easy. If they try demoman, they gotta be upclose and trying to mix up so try to keep ur distance, demoman is unsafe on every hit if it isnt clean but the sparky last one pushes back to mars. Play keepout to avoid mixup, for eg, a steve b1 shuts deathfist and demoman. Steve can also sonic fang deathfist and most pushback paul moves. Find ur charecter's punish and keepout against paul.
It's funny how when any char plays in an unconventional way peep slate the player. Doing things to catch your opponent out is the whole point of the game. If everyone played a textbook game and did what was expected tekken would get boring really fast.
This matchup is really hard for steve. To avoid paul's evasive moves in season as steve , you need to manual PAB 2, since b+1 doesnt track enough to hit those, believe it or not. PAB 2 is the only homing move left on steve.
If that was me playing against him, I would certainly have been quite pissed off. PKB2 appears to be a good move to use against him given his frequent use of f1+4.
Ngl, these kind of Unga Bunga 0 defense players are really annoying at times. Rather than blocking, they rely on evasive tools, counters, and power crushes. I feel cheeky at times spamming Kazuya's df2 but it often works, just like Steve's b1 here.

Paul is no Ling, Yoshi or Zafina, but you can't deny that he has his fair share of bullshit lol. But besides his gimmicks Paul is also strong af on paper. Very good fundamental tools, insane damage, versatile, good throw-game etc.. Paul does have some weaknesses, but he has too many strengths that overshadow his weaknesses sometimes.

paul based punchstring -> down forward 2 -> if tmm was blocking either do a followup attack that creates space (if you're feeling spicy wavedash into grab) - > repeat previous step -> then grab, but never grab more than twice. at this point tmm is either at the wall or low health -> rage art -> demoman, if that doesn't work do the high crushing evasive move, or grab. I don't play tekken i don't know the name of the moves but this is the entire flowchart. This looked awful to fight, but steve shuts mashers down pretty well so... good practise i guess?
