      F Girão you’d be surprised he’s harder than you realise because he lacks consistency most times so a lot of things that should work with him actually don’t work 100% of the time it happens to the top yoshi’s a lot but with how fun the character is yoshi players will fight on and yes I main yoshi on 2k games so I’ve been in and seen enough situations to know myself how painful it can be with yoshi sometimes but the fun factor still outweighs the problems yoshi has.

  • @YOSHI_MEAT_SOUP

    Lots of "yoshi experts" in the chat lol. Just to clear up some things: we cant respect frames because we dont have good frames, so when it looks like were just mashing, were trying to low profile or use moves that avoid opponents attacks so we can land a ch. We dont have the luxury of + frame pressure. Next, flash isnt broken. It's actually launch publishable, which is why halfway decent yoshis dont spam it...and no flash isn't unblockable. No yoshi doesnt have good damage. His damage is considerably less than most of the cast...for example, fahkumram's df2,3 can get over 70 dmg. Yoshis df2 gets 58 with an easy staple and barely over 60 when you use cd1 as the second hit, which you have to commit to because df2 isnt hit confirmable enough to put cd1 in after you see it. Also, his "backsway unblockable" is so slow that you can whiff an attack, then put out a launcher and still beat the move. You can also sidestep it super easily. What this yoshi is really good at is using things he knows mainman doesnt know counters for, so he makes them look overpowered. Yoshi is an extremely underpowered character compared to most of the cast and I challenge anyone to pick him up and see how good you actually do.

      YOSHI_MEAT_SOUP sup, fellow Yoshi.... give his damage some credit.... he does 70 pretty easily with his qcf1 enders...... and his oki setups can boost the damage up even more (with risk of course).. he’s definitely mid tier, but easily a super buffer version compared to the last few Yoshi’s we got

    • @voodustyle
      @voodustyle 4 года назад +15

      yoshi has decent damage now but in previous seasons it was pretty bad. the qcf1 being guaranteed is pretty nice. he's not underpowered he just takes serious knowledge of his kit and the matchup to really shine. and a lil madness. his tier position changes completely depending on what you know and your freestyle abilities.

      @@voodustyle I play yoshimitsu on Tekken 6 BR and let me tell you... He has simple combos that lead to half life.
      In terms of damage output, Yoshimitsu in Tekken 7 has the weakest damage output compared to both past versions of himself and even the rest of T7's roster.
      Here's a quick comparison:
      T7 Yoshi: d/f 2 cd 1 d/f 1 b1 cd 2! qcf 1 (guaranteed unblockable)
      Damage: 70
      Mind you that this optimal staple takes advanced execution to nail this combo
      T6 Yoshi: d/f 2, 2. f 1+2! B 2, 1 KIN f 2
      Damage: 85
      And yes, in terms of life bar percentage, T6 Yoshi almost half-life's a character with his combo than T7 Yoshi does.

    Losing to a good Yoshi is an honor, in my opinion. He's hard to master. His attacks in general does low damage. Yes he is quick, but that also makes it easier to fuck up. He's compensated with many unblockable moves, only fair (again, my opinion). Instead of sulking over Yoshi, try him out and practice his movelist, either to counter him, or simply just to experience his difficulty.

    yoshi isn't a flowchart character - he's mindgame and intimidation character with a big toolbox of niche commands
    this particular yoshi was damn good but spammed too many spins in aerial combos for wall carry but poorly scaled damage and didnt land many KIN f2. kinda panicked in the corner. he was however amazing at d2 into NSS mix ups and combos. yoshis db1 is a strange looking attack and closes a lot of distance and the same goes for fubuki knee into back turned flash. yes you can flash from back turned as well as the evasive spins that damage yoman
    flash is extremely fast but isnt broken by a long shot and it's not a parry. unless your hurtboxes are touching AND characters are moving towards each other, flash will whiff. lots of people try to force its range by doing NSS jump ins or just one or two of any of his spins, but flash's main purpose is to punish opponents who are aggressively pushing you or punish characters whos limbs hurtboxes linger on top of yoshi's after a big whiff or block punish like off a spring kick. block yoshis spin attacks at the wall or youll eat a lot of splats into rough okizeme and unblockables. DGF 1 is a great round stealer and hits grounded but just float him or tech to the side

      Utilizing only key moves
      If you wanna compete against someone who's jerking off to every single fucking move in their movelist at times of need, you need to do the same with your own character

    To every Tekken player, Yoshi is either a "weak gimmick character with poor fundamentals" or he has "OP moves" like his backsway and flash. What I hear no one talking about is his Yoshi has probably the best Oki in the game. Standing up? Windmill or unlockable low into juggle. Laying down? CD1 until you move THEN windmill for guaranteed damage.

    This has nothing to do with the video but I just thought of a great idea in Tekken 8 they should have versions of the new stages and all the stages in the game with Tekken 4 environments what I mean by that is objects in the way and Hills and such it would be a great party mode for the side and it would give casual players something to do. It would kind of be like normal versions vs The Omega and Battlefield versions all stages in Smash ultimate.

    Hey men. Im new to the tekken 7 scene, started just 3 days ago and i play from pc with my keyboard, do u know the biggest differences from using keyboard to an arcade controller??
    Also, what controllers should i buy to get the best gaming experience both online/offline.(arcade, ps3/4, xbox?)
    I've been playing alisa (i have 20 wins for now) and although i feel like im missing something, the other day i won to a king spammer with 90 wins, felt very good!
    Anyways, good gameplay man, i will stay tuned and as always.

      There have been reviews by not only TMM but also other content creators that using a Keyboard for a controller is OP and is banned in tournaments. xD
      Personally, I'd recommend you trying out other controllers if you don't want the keyboard. If you're comfortable with a fight stick then use it. But if you are more comfortable with a PS4 controller, use it. 👍😁

    • @minxy6121
      @minxy6121 4 года назад

      Try a mixbox. It's what Mainmanswe uses. It's got the keyboard arrow keys for movement on the left side, and then the traditional arcade buttons on the right side. Easiest way to convert from a keyboard imo. If you're feeling like the keyboard style isn't your thing, then you can go for a stick or a hitbox.

    • @grandpanoogie2665
      @grandpanoogie2665 4 года назад

      If you're looking for a good, reliable pad (console controller,) the standard ps4 dualshock 4 is a workhorse. I wouldn't reccomend an xbox controller because the d-pad on it functions better as a waffle iron than an input method. If you want an arcade stick, I've heard some good things about the QANBA Obsidian. It's definitely a sink in the cash department, but it's cool.

    This is actually quite a common Yoshi setup. Rage drive into Cd1 makes sense, because the pushback on block from rage drive depending on how deep you hit it makes it more difficult to whiff or block punish, therefore reducing the risk of CD1.

    As a Jin main, there were so many times in this video where I just cringed at combo execution and wall carry. Against Yoshi, as Jin, you should be applying as many pressure tools as possible. Once the Yoshi player started flashing, he knew TMM would give him enough space to where he could run him over in neutral and wake up situations. TMM's best rounds were where he was maximizing wall damage and using plus frames and pushback of Jin's electric effectively to reset momentum and prevent being flashed.

    You want to play the same character, but these guys prob. have thousands of hours invested, meanwhile you're going to start with 0?
    Sure you'd get more mileage with Steve if you have good fundamentals. But compared to someone who actually mastered Steve... it's going to look A LOT different.
    I mean, best example is Knee with Steve. Knee's a good player, but compare him to someone who actually masters Steve, albeit with less fundamentals (Atiff Butt), their gameplay is vastly different.

    Lol, I’m a Jin main yet I can’t figure out what move TMM used at the start of round 3 2:09. It looked like a magic 4, but it didn’t seem to have the tracking effect and it caused a weird counter hit that Jin’s magic 4 doesn’t do. When you counter hit with magic 4 they spiral into legs up position, and if it’s not a counter hit they just do a spin while standing. So doesn’t seem like 4 to me. Anyone know what move he used here? It looked like the Tekken 8 version of counter hit 4.
