In 2014, our journey began when we first met at the old international airport in Jeddah-a place so different from today’s sleek new terminal. By 2016, our adventure truly took off as we navigated life together in a country where living as we did was anything but simple.
Over the years, we explored retirement options across Southeast Asia, from the bustling streets of Thailand to the serene landscapes of Malaysia. While both were beautiful, neither felt like 'home.' Then came the Philippines, a country we’d planned to visit in 2020-until the pandemic delayed everything. Finally, at the start of 2024, we made it to Bacolod, overcoming countless challenges along the way.
What we found here was beyond what we’d dreamed. From the warm community to the relaxed lifestyle, Bacolod has stolen our hearts. Join us as we share why we chose the Philippines for retirement and how we’re living to explore every moment in this tropical paradise.
