He unzipped the pocket in front of the Cooler Pocket. I have this bag from 2 years ago. It will hold a 6 pack or more depending on how much you have in the pocket he unzipped and it has a drain hole also.
I ordered & received mine in Azure Blue through Morton Golf, worked with Jenny Koplin, she’s terrific ! By far the best bag... Ive had SunMountain bags for close to 25 years , they are good , but Ping are better. Quality is amazing !!!
This bag is advertised as having a “Magnetic in-play range-finder pocket” as well as the magnetic ball drop pocket. From what I can tell, there’s only one magnetic pocket the bag right?
There are two separate magnetic pockets. The top one (ball pocket) has quite a strong magnetic closure. The bottom one (rangefinder pocket) has a weaker magnetic closure, but it opens at the top as opposed to the front like the ball pocket, so it’s not a problem. It’s well done.
I actually bought the DLX which is very similar to this bag but in a material that makes it look more like a staff bag with all these same features. A bargain for only about $20 more than the Pioneer when both are on sale.
I just bought a 2020 DLX to replace a 3 yr old Pioneer. Have not had it on the course yet, but i can say the Pioneer stands up sturdier. The DLX wants to fall over. Strange !
Agreed, that was just a quick overview. Im looking to replace a 2017 Ping Pioneer that is still flawless - i just want another color and couldnt imagine a better bag. That is, after i pulled out the stupid plastic putter well insert and threw it away !!! I see thats been redesigned, but is it better? Guess ill have to find a "Full review" to find out !
@@kiwiaudio8462 I ended up getting this bag. It’s phenomenal. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. The putter well doesn’t seem to detach in any way. The cooler pocket is kind of a gimmick, but whatever. I’ll just bring a separate cooler like normal.
@@ArmyPig31B Rob, They changed the design of the putter well on the 2020. My 2017 Pioneer had a plastic insert in the putter well that was always getting snagged on the grip when removing the putter. It popped out one day when i yanked the putter out after a bad chip. The putter well was enormous with it out (a fat baseball bat will fit) and lined like every other opening :) I went with the DLX bag this year. Looks fantastic in Black/White/Scarlet, but i doubt it will perform better than the Pioneer which is a great bag.
The pioneer by Ping is a great bag. I am taking delivery of one shortly.
