This is the best and most thorough review/comparison of these bags on RUclips. Very well done. I push a trolly and the Traverse definitely seems like the better of two for that. I suppose if I rode a cart the Pioneer would be my choice.
Thanks a lot, I'll get back on it soon, I run a Pro Shop at a busy golf club. Its pretty hectic here in this part of the world at the moment, Scottish Open is along the road soon and then The Open at St.andrews is not far away either. Lots of golfers around at the moment.
I really appreciated you attempting to utilize the cart strap feature and being honest about it's ease of use or lack there of. You've tipped me over to the Traverse for primary use with a trolley.
Excellent reviews. I just purchased the latest Pioneer cart bag and for me, it is the best. In particular, it has more pockets than the Traverse and 15 club slots which allows for my Orange Whip (or other such equipment). It is a very convenient bag with no compromises.
@@golffm6924 It is a swing trainer with a flexible shaft and a weighted orange tennis-size ball on the end. It’s great for warm up and establishing tempo. It stretches your arms and shoulders out. It cannot be used during a round but it does not count as a club and is legal to have in your bag during a round.
Awesome review ! thanks I'm waiting on the Traverse to be released in Canada. I enjoy the heather gray very much I cant wait until I can find one !! It appeared to me like the front pocket / cooler was larger on the Traverse. What are your thoughts
Do you know what, you're right, well spotted. When I put the dozen box and the bottle in the Traverse cooler pocket it went in easily but it didn't really fit in the Pioneer cooler section. There is that extra pocket at the bottom so you can section it off more but the cooler pocket itself is smaller.
I think the Traverse fits my needs really well, and it looks ace in blue. And luckily my trolley is so low profile when folded, that I usually leave my bag attached even when folded up and in the trunk of the car, so those strap channels really speak to me. Routing it all through there, no chance of them ever being in the way of the pockets, tightening everything up solidly, and opening them up the next time maybe 10 years later, doesn't sound bad at all. =)
Excellent review. Pioneer seems over engineered for my needs and I don't want the hassle of hiding the straps. Thanks for taking the time to be so thorough and as you say No Guff!!
Thanks a lot, its been a busy summer, Scottish Open just 10 minutes away and then lots of tourists because the Open was quite close aswell, will get back to the videos as soon as I can.
The cart strap feature isn’t intended for push carts. Can it be used for those, absolutely but was it created specifically for that? No. It’s intended for riding golf carts. So you can pass the straps through there and be able to access your pockets still. Also, 15 slots on the Pioneer isn’t for an extra club. It’s for alignment sticks, or yes, if you bring an extra club to the range. Or your ball retriever.
I've never actually seen a DLX in real life unfortunately. They are a similar price to the Pioneer and feature a slightly odd shoe storing attachment. In terms of size I think it is similar to the Pioneer but I'd be guessing if the pockets are bigger etc. I read a few reviews online and generally they weren't great. I think people were buying them for the Tour inspired looks rather than any real practical benefits.
Sorry, I haven't had any of the Titleist bags this year. I'm sure they're good, its just I have limited space and can't stock everything. Once I'm at Rick Shiels level I'll get a bigger shop!
@@golffm6924 great options! I’m a beginner going into mid-level and I’m starting to need more specific clubs. My small bag isn’t going to cut it anymore! Thank you!
You won't get disqualified you only carry 14 clubs, golfers know that. The extra space is for a swing device or a ball retriever. The extra space is a typical paying innovation that everyone else will do eventually.
Thank you! This is the best golf bag review I have ever seen. Thanks so much for putting them on two different trolleys.
Thanks a lot, there's quite a few more if you're interested, I like a bag review.

Thanks very much, good to hear it's appreciated.
This is a phenomenal bag review comparing two similar options. Would love to see more like this!

This was such a thorough and entertaining review. Love all the information with your editorializing and bits of dry humor thrown in.
Thanks a lot, always glad to hear when someone gets the humour as well.

Thanks a lot, I know from experience dealing with customers that the details matter especially with bags.
This really is a great head to head review. Great job and thank you!
Thanks a lot, thanks for the comment.

Yeah I do think the Pioneer is really good, but I’m actually more intrigued as to what an orange whip is exactly , on the golf course at least.

Okay, yeah I've seen those kind of things, didn't know they were called orange whips
Great review! Thank you.

Yeah, never thought of it like it that. Fix the straps in place and leave for 10 years! I like it.

Thanks just waiting for the new bags to arrive this year so I can get stuck into them

Thanks for letting everyone know.
You mentioned the Pioneer being bigger, hard to tell, they both look similar in size. How do these compare to the size of the Ping DLX?

Could you please review the titleist premium bags

Im here for the chicken dinner references, this guy should be on stage!!
Hahaha, thanks, I never imagined my personality would finally begin to flourish talking about golf bags, I've found my calling at last.
@GOLF FM great reviews, made me laugh, the post box compartment and the bag pocket police.
Yeah you wouldn't believe some of the grief I get for putting stuff in the 'wrong' pocket on videos.
Hidden panel to put your rain cover
Okay thanks
What’s the best cart bag you have experienced thus far?
Non waterproof, I think the Ping Traverse is hard to beat, Waterproof, I would go Sun Mountain Staff Cart.

Yeah, you're right, I was sort of joking to be honest.
