Fricking amazing..the original acs video blew my mind and I’ve have often wondered what happened to it. This is the answer I have been waiting for. Thank you so much for this unbelievable video.
sound so muted it might as well be flat 4 or inline 3 with electric turbo in mid rear engine form like cayman, so rear end wont get to the front so much when in a turn with lakc of traction as your bouncing on the rough off road.
Come on, it was a bit of silly fun. He even said at the end that he obviously wasn’t being serious, it was just an excuse to show off two manual super saloons
There are too many journos banging on about manual gearboxes. Try another tune. It's this sort of dinosaur attitude that's killing the industry. Kids these days see F1, WRC, rallycross, drift drivers etc piloting cars with sequential shift; most won't give a stuff about middle-aged hacks' opinions. Why not bemoan the lack of carbs to tinker with and the loss of advance/retard controls?
Say this much for the dude that commissioned _BOTH_ of them: he's probably not the sort of guy to leave them sitting in a garage to appreciate. If they're going to be complete unobtainium, the thought that he'll probably drive the snot out of both of them on the regular is some comfort.
It’s got me thinking about just building something from scratch and using an aftermarket 992 fiberglass body and just pretending it was a real 992 at some point 😂
Conjures images of a Porsche version of the Rally Fighter. That thing was awesome, can't believe they went under..Then again I could not have afforded to build mine either.
Not this. My ultimate 911 would be either be an Oak Green Metallic Singer DLS or Voodoo Blue 991.2 Speedster with dual tone Slate Grey/Speed Blue leather interior.
Lamborghini and Porsche's attempts at an off-road supercar have both been absolutely incredible. I would love to see Ferrari and mclaren have a crack at it as well. A raised, dakar worthy 720s would be very special
Europe has way more manual gearbox options than the US, it’s just they’re on more mainstream day to day cars and not the premium performance cars tested here.
@@fatguyonalittlebike3336 not sure what’s so amusing about your comment however here’s a list of manufacturers selling new cars in the UK that still offer manual gearboxes. One of my favorite cars in the world. Though I do see some bizarre tire wear on that outer corner. I guess when youve already paid millions, who cares if you go through rubber like its nothin
Re the manual vs automatic thing, if I could afford to have two cars with one of them being a sports car, it would always be a manual. But only being able to afford one car, and living in a city(LA) where I spend so much time in my car, and so much of that time in traffic, an automatic just makes way more sense.
But of course it does not matter how good the vehicle is the real test is the Dakar and the driver and copilot will tell the mechanics. It’s just like any weapon which is perfectly tested during a battle!
funny how people build full rally cars in their garage and get almost 0 notice but if you go somewhere like this they'll charge millions. There have been plenty of builds that surpass this with complete custom carbon panels and even carbon tube chassis, sequential box and all the goodies. They look fully artisan and it's nowhere near millions in r&d
7:15 I have reason to believe he is not really sliding the car, like Ken Block (may he rest in peace). looking at the view through his window, and the well timed cut scenes.
What? He's driving a rear-engined car on a loose surface...I'd be more impressed if he managed not to drift it. Feels like you made a comment basically to claim you know something others don't, but it's a really odd thing to suggest since we know Jack can drift from plenty of previous videos and there are enough interior shots in this one where he's rotating one way and putting lock on the other way. If this was a drift video, then yeah they're going to do some dramatic interior shots that aren't actually matched to what you see outside. In this case, they're just filming a car. If you're interested in watching drift fails, just skip to the drifting bit later! Even that bit tank went sideways once it left the gravel though.
Really? I feel like M cars have always been more track focused while V cars have always been more GT and drag focused. I would have expected the M to win honestly

Tuthill and Singer, a marriage made in heaven. Richard’s rally experience shines through as does Singer’s elegance.
With studio banter, TopGear online is evolving into TopGear proper. Bravo, lesser-known Tom Ford
That body control is INCREDIBLE. A full-bore flat shift into 5th gear and the inside looks like you're driving in a damn Rolls Royce!
thanks to the owner for letting this happen. great build great video, great production, well done.

Man Lamborghini and Porche going off-roading is a plot twist I wasn’t expecting.
Porsche has been going offroad for a while now though,
They made the 959 with Rally in mind. And it ended up racing in Dakar.
Lambo also made LM002 back in the day a literal tank instead of suburban suv
But very welcome! =)
Porsche had some success in rallying in the 70s
We need more Jethro Bovingdon!
Wow, ANOTHER blank-Cheque car design with incredible performance that is completely unobtainable. What a refreshing recipe.

It kinda reminds me of the Pegasus, the race Porsche by Ken Block. But for the off-road. Sick car!
A base 992 is unobtainable enough without dreaming of these kinds of clean-sheet, money no object builds 😅

Definitely not a Singer. I don’t wanna an american Porsche. I prefer a 2017 RSR (mid engine)
Porsche 911(964)Turbo
Singer 911 DLS in a Martini racing livery.
Dude, the blackwing is seconds faster than the M5 CS around willow springs. I think Jethro was overwhelmed by it.
Ya I definitely thought the m cs would have won
