    Hi Babes! It's been a while since I last uploaded. I had to take a small break, but I am BACK! And Back at it again with my fitness planner!

    🌼 written by, produced by, and starring daniela zárate 👽, an extraterrestrial, multi-spirit kaleidoscope of a being interested in spurring spiritual and scientific revolutions in our collective human consciousness.
    🌼 29 years old
    🌼 Latina with rural Mexican roots

    🌼 San Diego, CA born & raised
    🌼 Off the silver screen, Daniela is a biologist interested in the ecology, behavior, and evolution of social insect societies, mainly honey bees and wood ants. She completed her doctorate (PhD) in honey bee genomics and behavior at the University of California, San Diego in 2022.
    🌼 Currently, she is completing a UC Chancellor's Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, Riverside with Dr. Jessica Purcell's research group, studying supergene evolution in a native wood ant.
    🌼 Daniela strongly believes in the importance and value of science communication and education and strives to make science both accessible and enjoyable for a wide audience. Her science communication style is broadly influenced by theater, dance, spoken word, comedy, and telenovelas.
    🌼 She is also currently working on developing STEAM educational programming for the incarcerated communities of southern California as part of a larger prison-industrial complex abolition project. She is interested in developing courses that use zines as learning tools to promote interactive engagement with scientific topics.
    🌼 When she’s not analyzing DNA sequences, you can find her papercrafting, gardening, foraging for wild mushrooms, hiking in Death Valley, or looking for horned lizards in San Diego's beautiful chaparral and desert regions.

    Girl! So glad you are back! I like how you just throw down stickers and they make your spreads look so cool. I stress about where to put what and what matches with what. You are very free spirited. Always looking forward to your vids I know you are super busy but know I appreciate your vids.

      Aww thank you so much, your'e so kind! I appreciate that so much. I definitely do not stress over my stickers and planners. Life is too short. Just have fun and play around, that's my philosophy. If it turns out cute, amazing. If not, there's always tons more planner pages to decorate! 💖💖

    Excellent job Daniella!!! All those days "all I did was walk" (lol) add up! They are not for nothing! In fact, even if you don't think they are good enough for your fitness goals, they are VERY beneficial to our mental health! Plus I am sure on your walks you are getting outside, and enjoying your pugs. Which is a double plus for your mental health and endorphins! ❣ Now I am the one who is at the cap of my weight limit. EEK. lol I need to lose about 5 pounds. I need to bump up my activity, and drink more water. I have drank more water the last two days! So that is good. Today I also watched my carbs. I can not gain anymore than my cap, which is 145. And really, I don't want that to be my cap. I would like my cap to be 140, so I would stay between 135-140. When I see 140, I have to rein it in. I weigh everyday. I know people say that is bad. It is good for me. It has nothing to do with how good or bad I am as a person. I have been over that for years. It is purely information. It helps keep me stay on track. I know where my body is in relation to how much or little water I've had. How well, or not well I ate the day before. How I need to change, or not change the way I may eat this day. I hope this makes sense. It is all personal choice. Whatever works!!! Keep up your awesome work Daniella!!!!!

      Hey Angie! 🩷 OMG Yes I know I need to change my mindset about walking, I always think it's not "enough" because I am so used to doing the MOST and running for miles and lifting weights, but walking IS really excellent exercise and I need to understand that hahaha 😊 It really is the foundation of health and when I'm not feeling capable of running, I can always talk a walk and like you said, it's also about getting outside and walking my pugs. Oh shoot, it definitely happens, we all have periods where we gain weight and we have to double down on being intention about losing it and reigning in our habits and overconsumption. I am the same way about weighing every day, it helps me keep on track and be aware of where I am. It allows me to not be "shocked" when I step on a scale. It helps me learn to accept the number for what it is and focus more on lifestyle and health. I know you can drop the pounds you want to, I believe you can do it! Good luck and stay focused.       Thanks so much! And yes it really is! I need to be OK with just walking sometimes because it really is excellent exercise. I always feel like it's not "enough" because I am used to running and strength training. 😂 But I should let go of that mindset.

      Hi Beth! Yay good for you getting to the gym! Fitness is so important but so hard to keep up with. ☺️ I’m glad you find my content motivating! 🩷 An 11 minute mile is definitely a solid start. I’m going to work to bringing that number down though! 🩷

    Way to go :) your an inspiration I really need to get on the ball to lose weight. Hopefully when I start physical therapy it will help with pain and I can get into losing weight more

Of course everyone is on their own journey, if you are going to physical therapy that definitely makes it much more difficult to rely on fitness to help lose weight so give yourself a lot of grace and celebrate progress not perfection 🩷 You can do it, I believe in you! 💖

      @@laplanningdiva Thank you :) I appreciate it . I have started eating healthier and drinking more water so that is helping a bit. Physical therapy went well and gave me some exercises to help with the pain

    Hi Daniela! Love seeing your fitness planner and all your workouts. You inspired me to get back into working out. I started again this week 😁. Staring out slow though. Btw…what type of 🎤 do you use?

      Hi Cecilia! Aww thanks so much, I'm so glad you got motivated to get back into it!!! It is definitely tough to leap back in, esp the longer it's been, so give yourself a lot of grace but don't give up! I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines!! And actually I don't use any microphone, I was actually going to comment on your earlier video where you talked about people saying you have a quiet sound, I actually don't think your videos are particularly quiet, I can hear them fine, esp if I turn up the sound, but I don't feel the need to play them at max volume. But a handy trick I use, if you don't do this already, is to increase the sound on the video editor you use. I always dial up my sound 400% because I have a quiet voice hahaha so that is an option!

    Hello there. What type of Fit bit do you use and is it connected to Samsung Health App? My last one died and seems they are phasing the basic ones out. Thanks for sharing. Love the colorful fitness planner. Very motivating.

      I use the Fitbit Versa 3 and I do not connect it to Samsung Health App personally, I just use the FitBit App. I didn't realize they are phasing the basic ones out, that's unfortunate! I like the ones with the clock faces on them so I never had a basic one. Although honestly the Versa2 was a better experience than the Versa3, the app was less bug-gy and it just handled much smoother. I hope they improve on the Versa3 in the next generation!
