Nice to see work getting done on the car in this video instead of just customer car updates, can' wait to see how the Noble project escalates! 😂 Keep up the great videos.
That brings back flashbacks of working/restoring a TVR Tuscan, I agreed to help a mate out as he bought one cheap and I had spare room in my workshop, 3 years later it drove out and he was no longer a mate.
Hey I remember when I was a youmg man and just started working on aircraft an old hand showed me that double spanner trick! Used it loads over the years. That old hand was from very near Swindon! It all comes home in the end!
That yellow submarine is probably the most famous car on RUclips and raking in tavarish loads of money and he's gona repair it to be worth 2 mil again win win if you ask me
@@dlg78 he will have no problem at all selling it he's not some weekend mechanic that does budget servicing he knows his stuff and will be repaired to maclaren standard or better
@@anthonythomas9456 he will be lucky anyone would want it. Who would? Why would anyone 'want' a car that's been recorded as a total loss and been underwater.
Cool although it’s not shoehorning a celica gt into a mini it might take as long to get done 😂 especially with all the old fashioned parts bodgery that went into building it in the first place
When your faced with so much rust, my best advice is to tackle it using the latest ‘ M. Armstrong ‘ method…… Send the bugger up to Yorkshire Car Restorations. 😉
Try to get the uprights (hubs) from billet aluminum. Mine was broken under braking... Never in my life I had a failure like that but it's better to be safe than sorry.
Loved the video, even though that Noble needs to see a scrap yard! Love seeing pink tools being waved around. The kindest possible feedback: Love the workshop documentary format, it would be better with less talking from the camera man. It is disconcerting and makes the viewing experience feel weird. This feedback isn't a reflection on what's actually said by said cameradude.
Great to finally see some spannering! What’s the thinking behind taking the body off? You going to re powder coat the entire chassis? That would be interesting to see - toying with the idea of doing that to mine, which I already expect to be a multi-year restoration
I enjoyed the battle to free parts and have been there many times in the past 60years of motoring. Any chance you could afford some lights so we could also see what your doing.
Get the IC off. Very easy and will look like mos of the rear is stripped. Lol. Great to watch though as often I don’t get to see this level of detail as Dave does it all.
I'm blaming you boy's for the permission but originally I have to say I heard this one from a young mate of mine Danny from Dublin...... 'Sweating like a priest in a playschool' You did ask! ;-)
I'd rather see this than engine work. Now don't get me wrong: engines are the bomb, but... ultimately in a video it's the same thing eight or twelve times over, whereas here there's lots of more relatable parts that you'll find on more mundane cars. And just more variety. Stonking stuff.
Wow that fought you every step of the way. I would have used an impact driver on those screws, btw. Just a tip next time, blow torch, candle stick heat up the suspension arms, melt the candle wax into the bits that won’t budge and it will slide out like baby from a pregnant 50 year old. 😮
You need to get Mat involved or it will never run again Rikki🤣🤣 you have so easy working on shiny new V10s and such in the nice clean engine room come on bit a shite won't hurt you.
I think you were being kind when you said lots of what was wrong with it was down to poor maintenance. A lot of it is terrible man-in-shed-design decisions and questionable component location choices. Kill it with fire.
The Duratec V6 is good for at least 600+ bhp and in any case why would you put a big heavy lump into the back? The Duratec V6 is a an all alloy Porsche/Cosworth designed engine!!.
Single handily one of the worst built cars I’ve had the pleasure to work on , had to do a gearbox rebuild on it due to it only running a standard mondeo gearbox and it was a glorified kit car

Good to see u doing a proper job of fixing it.

The joys of helping mates….
Stumbled across this. Love the style.! Always wanted a noble.
Thank you so much. Glad you found us.

Great to see the extra leverage trick on a combination spanner a true 'technician' or trades man in my day

Lyneham?
It looks like someone home made the car. I am sure when you get it finished it will be stunning & probably quite fast. 😃😃
I’m the same with my mk1 TT with a built engine. Stripping subframes and doing a full resto. Makes motivation tough when you’ve a busy life
I am sure you wont have a problem selling those rusty bits. Progress is looking good 👌
Tell yi what Rick, yir a genius when it comes to building motors but by god when it comes to rusty suspension………… yir making a meal out that lad!!!!
Well is he really? Apart from heat and dowsing it in wd40?
This is what happens you get used to working on shiny expensive new German stuff 🤣 #easymode
Looks solid underneath all good some lovely new suspension all nice. At least you’re not paying your labour rates 😂
No matter how bad it gets, remember you haven't spent $1,000,000 on a McLaren yellow submarine 🤣🤣🤣

You asked what we want to see after the track day flop... build video once a week would be great!
Your Marshal stripped thing completely down hopefully you don't have no rust inside the tubing.
Also in terms of favourite sayings "I'd rather shit in my hands and clap" is a favourite :)

Mate. Level up that glove game. The diamond grip ones don’t rip like those usual ones. Game changer.

oooh yeah, I had the opportunity to work with Noble. not a very comfortable car for work)) good luck to you colleague
Just as bad has Lotus Elan, Elite, Esprit etc. Good luck Ricky, I have no doubt you will sort it but it's not going to be easy road for you mate. 👍
Hi. Nice vid. Real world probs, RUST.
Are the rear brake discs dirrectional, only vents seem tobe backwards.
You'll have to start calling it the Nobble.
great vid Ricky.its gonna fight you all the way!

Love all the content. Keep up the good work. Ed China did a full rebuild on a noble wheeler dealer for some reference.
Awesome rear Brakes
Great to finally see some spannering!

Noble have their own bolt and nut remover, puller and pusher. 6kg sledge

Your good craic mate if you had to fix some off the 💩 iv had to restore over the years that noble would look pretty easy 😂
loved this vid, cheers
Doing well just got it all to do again now on the other side 😂

Was the car from the same place Freddy got his P1?
I’ve only ever seen handbrake shoes like that on American stuff, Escalade and things like that.
Obvs the guy who did the m.o.t waited for his guide dog to bark before he pressed pass 🤦♂️🤣
Colin Furze is selling rock you can probably sell Noble dust 😂
The wife's passion was an r8 mine was a noble but now edging towards the lotus
unknown If Matt from BGA Still has a Noble M12
I am actually happy you outbid me know 😂.
I bet you hate mat Armstrong for putting you on to it

That car is a misery whip!
Dam.. That's a, mess..
spring 2025 is plausible
Next sponsor should be WD40 and how to build ur arms up. When playing with ur nuts. 😂😂😂😂😂
How to strip down a Noble, use a Hammer 😂😅🤣👍👏 I would keep the light weight Motorsport rust, it’s expensive stuff..
What a heap!
19:10 how are you supposed to feed the mouse that is running around in that ECU? That access is 'orrible!
And Mat Armstrong ( who you can blame for all of this) has rebuilt 5 cars bought from Copart.(32:30)🤣
What's he doing with that snap on screwdriver, never use as prybar or chisel lol
