Do chemists ever use little vacuum cleaners? I'm worried pushing powder around with a brush could just get it stuck in tight spots. I work with zircon crystals that are only 250-500 microns wide, and it's extremely important that a zircon from one sample doesn't contaminate another sample. Our lab doesn't have a vacuum cleaner right now but I think it'd be useful.

@Flounder152, great question. Yes, but they're never just normal vacuum cleaners. You would need a vacuum with filters that don't allow your particle size to pass. Search for "cleanroom vacuum."

Hi! May I know what brush you use to clean the balance? Thanks 😊

@anastasiaadinda8833 It's nothing special, just a cheap bristle paint brush from a hardware store.
