How to process Blackfabric thermoplastic prepregs

Blackfabric is producing fiber reinforced thermoplastics prepregs which already incorporate the ideal percentage of fiber- matrix needed to be directly consolidated through simple thermoforming processes. To consolidate the thermoplastic prepregs, you have to heat the material until it exceeds the melting temperature of the polymer, moulding or stamping processes and then cool it down to its glass transition temperature. The main advantages of thermoforming is that they are short time processes, avoiding manual processes and also reducing the subsequent processes of polishing and filling of impurities. Moreover, it allows high production rate and increasing significativelly the production speed.
