The only thing more devastating than these riffs is the devastating realization that the company that makes his t-shirt does not ship to the US. The weight of this burden is only matched by the gauge of his guitar strings.
Holy shit. This is spot on the entire time. It’s the stamina involved that makes this impressive. Also the music though. This is the only video I’ve seen of anyone else (besides myself ruclips.net/video/ra-Epv7erIo/видео.html ) doing that second half of sum correctly. Namely the change where the 3rd fret gets thrown in the mix. Nice job.
TheEscalator thanks :) but that video is 7 years old. I’m a little better now. I’m working on an I cover believe it or not. Not sure if I’ll ever completely finish it
@@growlandroll good luck, it’s literally random cycles of chromatic notes , so hard to even learn. There’s a guitar pro tab up on UG that sounds about as close as I’d imagine any human being able to replicate it
@@Max_Payn3 I managed to pull it off on Bass according to that bass tab that you mentioned, along with this video. I hope to get the rest of the song by the end of the year haha
I’m a drummer & I watched this front to back. Mostly for the face melting riff “In Death Is Life/Death.” Stayed for all of it. Thoroughly impressed man. That took some practice.
HOLY SHIT MAN!!! This is one of the most complicated and demanding record i've ever heard. And you slammed it, much respect bro! keep this going I love Meshuggah 🤘🤘🤘
i wanted to do this exact video and learn all the songs in the album, but alas it has already been done before. still though, hats off to you for a great performance! meshuggah rhythms will forever fuck with my head lolol
Soooo sick 🤙 been playing a 7 for about 12 years now just ordered my first 8 been just binging meshuggah covers. This was tight as fuck definitely my favourite album by this crazy band🤙
Wait a minute...I know this whole album front to back too and I keep noticing mistakes you make that aren’t actually heard in your overdubbing. What’s up with that?
Sköll Devours recorded the audio live in one take but had to redo some small parts because i fucked up a little :D might explain visual but inaudible mistakes ;)
TheEscalator ah. Well I’m probably one of the few people who would even notice. Maybe you should delete my comment so everyone else doesn’t know either lol. Cuz I said it kinda like in a dickish manner which I apologize for. I did comment a couple months ago about how you and I seem to have to only examples of the correct way to do the second half of this. Everyone misses the part where it adds the 3rd fret
@@le0_fx sorry man it’s a super nit picky, unnecessary criticism that obscures the monumental achievement of you playing this entire album live on camera. I can’t hope to play this material as well as you, so I don’t think it’s really my place to have even made that comment. I feel bad dude. I love this music and you do too and I hope you keep playing and putting out content like this.
@@lukesabin691 hey man, all good :) don't feel bad, I like such constructive comments to reflect and learn for my playing. So I actually mean it, thx! ;)
I can't think of many things more impressive than covering this masterpiece in its entirety

Crazy that you actually memorized this whole album, this must have taken a while!
hats off bro! that's a lot to remember

I watched it 5 years "a bit too late" but this is SO GOOD mate!
My favourite Meshuggah album, great job 👍 I'm saving this for when I eventually get an 8 string and want to learn it too.
Legend has it he's still chugging to this day, 5 years later
The part starting at 18:20 confuses my fingers like crazy
I got to this video as I'm looking other people specifically playing that part, it's really confusing indeed

This both makes me happy (because you're so good) and pisses me off (because you're so good). Well played man, this is amazing!!

Great job man really well done, nice to see a second catch cover on youtube! I've been wanting to make one too for a while so hopefully I will soon.
Amazingly done dude! Came here from Reddit. Keep up the good work!
Dude how in hell do u not have a mln views, fucking spectacular
Uhhhh why does this not even have 4k views? The amount of effort and patience this must have taken is ridiculous. I wish you the best 🖤
Now it has 7k
Was literally thinking other day if anybody has done this and here we are! Well done, bud
Absolutely epic bro
This is incredible, also as someone who's just started to learn this album, this is a huge inspiration!!!
omg this is crazy, kudos to you
SO WELL DONE
Sir you are insane. I bow to you 💜🌹
Seriously, great job man.
dude well done! that couldn't have been easy!
Man WHAT?? How that's possible????
Holy hell. Needs more views
You should use drop d# tuning in Shed
I know I'm years late but you're absolutely fucking crazy
Congratulations this is quite a feat!!
your guitar is pretty rad, great guitar work here !
Fucking hell man
great shirt
Good
Impressive !!
This album has so many chunky riffs.
really good man. focus on those palm mutes more.
Palm muting on an 8 string is especially difficult

I want your shirt.
¿cuanto cuesta esa guitarra?
5:36 how did you do that
Just waited 33 Bars and started playing (:
Really good. My biggest objection is that almost every note on the 7th and 8th strings is bent unnecessarily.
that's one interesting observation, thx!

Fantastic work, seriously very impressive memory and recall for the variations in the rhythms! Subscribed look forward to hearing more!
