Still looks far better than many American airports. Medium sized Canadian airports seem to have a similar layout or look to them and most of the time it turns out to be a really good airport. Halifax, Ottawa, Moncton are three I use quite a lot.
Thanks for the comment! I haven't been to YOW in awhile but if I recall correctly, it wasn't a terrible airport. I only spent 30 minutes in YHZ so didn't get much of a tour.
That’s true, don’t really need much more at this moment for a city the size of Regina. It’s clean, modern enough and the pet service area is a nice touch.
Thanks for the comment! There was an article in one of the prints and it ranked the top 25 airports in Canada where each airport received a score from 0 to 100 based on six factors: direct flight destinations, lounges, dining facilities, operating airlines, on-site car rental and hotels within a 3km radius. How many yearly passengers go through each airport was also factored in. Regina actually ended in 24th spot.
Thanks for the comment and please subscribe! I mentioned the same thing to someone recently and they looked at my with a blank stare! Had to explain it in more detail lol
Thanks for the comment and please subscribe! It was around 4am as my flight was leaving at 5. The way I look at it, if there are passengers in transit at that time, it should be open. Evening is another story.
Thanks for your comment and please subscribe! A national media chain had an article that looked for certain criteria to be met of which their opinion found YQR didn't meet their criteria compared to others. I grew up in Regina, its not a bad airport but its not Changi Singapore, Dubai or other places I've been. Check out my Emirates F class lounge video!
Thanks for the comment and please subscribe! It gets the job done thats for sure. I vividly remember how it looks back in the 80s and its not a lot different. Arrivals on the north end now vs the south end at the time.
Thanks for the comment and please subscribe! Yeah its not terrible. More than adequate for the city it serves. One day I will post a quick review of the Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge that's located in Regina.
Thanks for the comment! I know right? ON Cloudsurfers which are crazy comfy but they squeak. I sometimes wear my golf shoes as well and they dont squeak.
Does not seem too bad at all. Similar or a bit bigger than our Victoria airport, though the population is much higher here than Regina or SK.

hard to believe it's worse than the dreaded Pearson International (YYZ) in Toronto. It's a total nightmare in every respect.
What's wrong with it? for an airport serving a city with 200k people, it has all the modern facilities. what do you want?
it kind of looks like the 1980s

It appears to be a small town airport and everything seemed functional. Why is it a bad airport ?
