  • Today I'll use my dump trailer to haul road rock and compost. In todays video we compare weight vs volume and what the Doolittle dump trailer can safely haul.
    Once you purchase a utility dump trailer, you'll wonder how you ever got along without a dump trailer. I believe the Doolittle utility dump trailer is the best high quality trailer and is going to be a good investment for me. This is a good trailer for a landscaping business, small construction business or around the farm.

      Good morning Gary. Thanks for checking in on us. We’re all safe and sound. We live along the Mississippi River and the terrain is very hilly. That seems to keep tornados away from us. If you go 25 miles West, it’s a different story as the land levels out and tornados seem to be able to form.
      Thanks again and enjoy your weekend-Bill

    Want to wish you all the best of Retirement. I'm about 18 months from retiring myself. I was wondering if it would be any easier to spread your load by starting at the top and dumping in the down hill direction. Also wanted to comment that by treating your lawn with compost you are really building up your topsoil. Which is a good thing. A lot of people don't know this, and think using lime and fertilizers are the best ways. You've got a beautiful lawn and that shows your doing it right.

    Hey Bill that looked like a awesome airater and spreader could you tell me more about them? Thanks Mike

    • @billburkhart
      @billburkhart  Год назад

      Hello Mike, happy Saturday. I bought the aerator used but know that it was manufactured from everything attachments. The spreader was purchased from a government surplus auction and although it’s very old works very well for me. You can Google top dressers online and they still make them. If this one broke tomorrow and I couldn’t repair it I would buy a new one as I’m really enjoying it. Hope this answers your question, enjoy the rest of the long weekend. Thanks for watching and stay in touch-Bill

    Be sure and not bump the load with the dump trailer extended completely, if you do this it will pull the ram completely out of the cyclinder

    Retirement, well I'm like 25 years away lol. I been wanting a dump trailer but they a bit pricey for me. I do have a 2012 Silverado 3500HD that I paid $1400 and a 2013 F250 that I paid $800 which would pull these trailers. I saw a 6lug trailer but wanted the 8 lug 16ft trailer, forgot the load capacity but maybe 1 day.

    Maybe try or look n2 chains for ur speadin, I bought a 7x14x2 14k gvwr Ironbull that weighs EMPTY 5,100 lbs n payload is 8-8,100 n pullin it with a '99 F250 gas, it came with chains to adjust the thickness of the material being dumped, dump trailers r super nice, I have used mine for gravel, topsoil, metal, demo wood, hay, n garbage
