So, Traxxas doesn’t offer this as an all inclusive kit for both front and rear in order to save some money. These are some expensive upgrades and just not sure if it’s justifiable. What’s the real advantage of going to aluminum? I’ve heard others say when adding aluminum to your Wide Maxx, it can lead to other issues with other non-aluminum parts. What’s your thoughts on the real necessity of making these upgrades? Thank you again for another great video.
I broke my steering knuckle today and was thinking about getting these. I was just worried about them breaking other stuff. How has everything held up after installing these?
Will these go on the steele axles? Or should I know something... (different bearings?) I already installed the widemaxx kit and the pre assembled steele axles with the alluminun threaded wheel hex
RCDriver_Online have you tampered with setting your end points with all these upgrades? I have all aluminum upgrades, widemaxx, plus steel cvds and I noticed that I had to set end points to around 85% left and right, anything higher and the caster makes contact with the steering block. What about yours?
It seems to me this was for pure aesthetics, because if it was for performance, you'd skip all the aluminum, get rpm plastic parts. One of the only alloy upgrades you should get are the driveshafts for the maxx...
Kyle Rattay This is not advertising. It’s a review from a guy who turns down free kits and money so he can give his own say, his way. He’s an rc enthusiast and says good things, but you don’t hear him saying for one model that it’s the best ever. He did show some concerns about the design of this truck in some other video. But in truth, traxxas stuff isn’t special. They are just as durable or almost as durable as tekno, and in par with arrma. Handling of this truck is the worst.
Tekno mt410 is the real king of monster trucks. A few brands can match tekno in durability, but there is no monster truck that steers and jumps like a tekno. The maxx has sluggish steering and flips over easily, traction rolls a lot on any high traction surface. The tekno has lively responsive steering like a buggy and does not flip over easily. Jumps with stability and distance. The maxx is good in straight lines and jumps. Not well rounded. But for the price it’s all right. Just saying it’s not the best monster truck there is.
RCDriver_Online just saying because some viewers, mainly beginners think traxxas is the best, but don’t understand the downsides of traxxas trucks and how there are others out there superior to traxxas in every aspect, durability, jumping, landing and steering. It really sucks when trucks flip over because they aren’t stable jumpers or bad at cornering. Traxxas has dull numb like weak steering, yet can’t stay on all fours. Needing to keep running to flip your truck back up or needing to break and drive slowly when turning puts a damper in rc fun. Having a truck that can go all out in every aspect is more fun. No way around that. It’s good for viewers to know the differences that matter. Some can’t spend money for more than one kit. So anyone reading and want the true monster king, it’s the tekno mt410. Huge difference in performance.
Tekno LMAO......ohhh sounds like another person is butt hurt over Traxxas killing it with yet another great vehicle....I own Axial, Arrma, Losi & Traxxas and for what it's made for the Maxx is the toughest vehicle I own. It's not meant to race around a track and I would put my Maxx up against your Tekno any day for bashing. Actually I think I will buy a Tekno MT410 and record how fast it breaks. Haaaaa Tekno LMAO....what trash.
Gotta love Traxxas performance parts. Perfect fit each time. Thanks for sharing.
Yup! Sometimes when a retaining cap goes on a pin it can bind on other cars, but everything fit perfectly here and worked nice and smooth. 😀
Wow those aluminum parts look stunning! It really is looking great so far on the Maxx!
Agreed! Well designed and installed they look great! 😎
great build so far ... cant wait for more blue too..., Thanks
Like the look
Another great build/upgrading series in the making 👍
Traxxas makes some great option parts for there RCs....
Great upgrades👊🏾✌🏽
Nice vidéo, good job 👍👍🙏
Do you like the Maxx or the Erevo 2.0 VXL brushless better?

It's l👀king good 👊✌️
Thanks!! 😀

Does Traxxas have an anodized aluminum drive shaft or cv shaft set for the Wide Maxx?
Are the aluminum parts heavier than the stock parts?
I got some of them and they are definitely heavier. The stock parts are 12-14g while the aluminum parts are 30-40g.
Please can you do a set up video with the widemaxx kit including which shock oil weight to use. Good series!
Is there aftermarket lockers for this truck?

Can I please know what drill are you using i want one of those

any reason you skipped the steel drive shaft?

Can’t even see them when wheel put back on
Aluminum looks great, but expensive as hell.
aluminum is super cool but everyone who has ran aluminum knows it bends and breaks so if you want to run the truck upgrade with RPM parts
Why so short vid 😕 Super nice truck 💎
No need to drag it out. These parts are super easy to install. 😀
@@rcdriver This build is slightly making me a Traxxasguy, looking so clean and awesome 5/5 💎😃
Great man, i didnt know I wanted those! It's all your fault. Least that's what I'm telling the wife..
can you do a video on all the parts to the maxx and put a link to the parts
I bought traxxas tsm maxx tires for my emaxx and they are so cool , smaller but it takes off quicker
I wish i had enought money for this!
(Well im 14 so....)
So walk door to door with your weed eater and cut grass. You will make $1000/week
Spend money smarter than this
To heavy , and no give.

There is an RC vehicle that fits the needs of each enthusiast out there. That’s what’s so great about RC.
