In that single spot where the TNT (assuming it's trinitrotoluene) is pushed together, you have fusion'd an element of atomic number 789264. Congrats on being the first person to create septoctennbihexquadium!
Zhengergiser i belive the Ultra dense cannon as he calls it probably achieved a kiloton of TNT if he recreates it with at least 1 megaton of tnt = 1 million tnt than bruh he would probably break the map we've got an atomic bomb right here
let me see if I understood the mechanism you ignite a lot of tnt and while they are in the ´non-solid' state you put them all in a single block and they all explode at the same time. FANTASTIC
The sound of legs breaking up into your torso breaking your torso in half going up to your head exploding and the sound of brains splatting... PERFECT ENDING!
Michael King For more than half the video, it shows how much ram their PC has dedicated to Minecraft in the top right corner. "Used memory: 1% of 122846MB". Thus SpazzyChicken77's comment because there could be EVEN MORE RAM.
From minecraft wiki: Updated Pistons to make them less error-prone, thus they also appear to update slower. This also altered the way Pistons work, so you might have to adapt your repeater delays and similar. For this change, pistons now take 2 redstone ticks (4 game ticks) to expand, but they still retract instantly.
It's actually pretty intense listening to the sound of the pistons getting louder as they compress the TNT more and more until they reach you and the detonation happens. Plenty of build-up and a huge blast that does not disappoint. Well done. You should put a small pool at the drop zone to catch you :)
Wow. Just wow. It appears the race is on to try get something like this to work in 1.3 :) This is so impossibly cool! Oh, and nice work with the music and video timing at the end.
Oh, and the explode command does not place a whole ton of tnt down. It creates a single explosion with the blast strength value at E=(B)(V) E is explosion B is the typical blast value of a single TNT V is the multiplier you specify. If you don't believe me, type "help explode" with SPC. It's literally just placing one TNT with a tweaked blast value.
hold up. this same guy who made the ultra dense cannon also made rag doll from line rider?? i have just connected two pieces of my childhood and the nostalgia is flowing through me and coursing through my veins
I have checked out more of your videos, and i recognise so many of them. I have unlocked a drawer full of memories from a distant past. Thank you for being part of my childhood here on youtube
All blocks in minecraft have a certain blast resistance value, obsidians just happens to be so high that it would be almost impossible to have the amount of tnt concentrated on that one block for it to work. This stuff is on the minecraft wiki, blast resistance of obsidian= 6, 000 look it up.
Antvenom did a video on it. But it's probably still impossible because you would have to have a LOT of TNT in one block, so much that the device would have to be so tall the TNT would blow up before it gets to the ground. Unless someone thinks up some kind of booster or something.
also you could say that each block has a specific code and specific numbers and data that make the block what it is in the game for example the hardness of diamond is determined by its code and the fact that in real life diamonds are very hard (:D), there probably is an option that allows you to change whether the item explodes or not, so yeah.
That was amazing, 1.2.5 IS going out with a bang!!! But if you have a cannon to shoot TNT, it can only go so far before exploding before reaching it's target. However this cannon would still be able to do that due to it's speed. This s the greatest cannon in all of Minecraft both modded and vanilla, spectacular(I wish there was an even better word) achievement!!!
There's this video of someone using a mod (Singeplayer Commands, I think) which lets them "explode" TNT of certain strength settings. A TNT blast 285 times stronger than normal TNT is enough to break bedrock, according to the video. But, it has to be from that one TNT block. I don't have the link to the video though, sorry.
If minecraft had space, you would have reached it. I can't say you would've achieved orbit, but the fact that you went over 140km into the sky is amazing nonetheless. Well done, this is just... man.
I originally designed a cannon like that, but it was unfortunately really unstable and inconsistent, due to the TNT implosion glitch (hard to explain but basically a bunch of TNT taking up the exact same space explode with the power of only one TNT)
Thanks for the explanation, but let me clarify some other things: I actually allocated a bunch of my memory on my hard drive, so before I installed the TNT memory leak fix, Minecraft took up >50GB of virtual memory and required >12 hours to compute. But now it's not necessary Also, Minema is what's slowing down Minecraft to achieve smooth videos.
Ah, but Minecraft is not a sphere, it is a plane, with a void underneath and an endless sky above. Thus it must be flat, and further thus there is no center for gravitational pull.
there should be space like 500 blocks up and a creatable rocket, when you are there it should say "loading space" so that all the other planets there don't lag the overworld and there should be like 3 other planets with alien mobs.
nice one, im currently looking to try make another cannon, which distance is near enough fixed with water pushing you against a wall so you land same place. When its made i can start island hoping :D.
I actually beat your height record, using the wrong cannon. I used the TNT cannon as a player launcher, and I actually got 153k blocks up. Fucking awesome. Thanks for the download, and especially for the TNT memory fix.
There is a command in Single Player Commands - "explode" *number*. Number describes the amount of TNT blocks in explosion. If you type explode 285 - it will cause an explosion of 285 blocks of TNT at one point. Obsidian will break. But, yes, there is no legitimate way to break obsidian.
Blast Resistance does not work like HP, and it will not go down when damaged, meaning that unless you make something that does 6,001 blast damage, obsidian will never be destroyed by explosions.
Just prime the TNT and use piston extenders to push the entities, if you dont know how to make a piston extender check out some videos. (I would recommend Mumbo Jumbo)
Thanks to Minecraft Wiki (in the ''explosion'' page, down at the trivia section) I found this "TNT explosions don't add up, so only modded bombs work."
ill try to build with command blocks, piston, dispencer+tnt, and clone command.. nearly the same as ultra dense cannon (UDC). tnt compressed to 1 block but only 102500 block high... 1 tnt more and everything blew up... try many variation but the UDC is 4 years old and still a Masterpiece
Just so everyone knows it is now possible to make cannons with infinite power by using the new tnt carts added in the latest snapshot. You can have infinite carts in a single blocks space and activate them all at the exact same time extremely easily.
I think I’m more impressed with that piston extension. I mean I don’t know how to make a tileable triple piston extender much less what ever that thing was
I meant *R=2S/r Anyways, it isn't legit, obviously (which you have pointed out), but it also isn't a bunch of TNT in one place. I've explained the calculations repeatedly to multiple people, but they keep coming back. I've worked with TNT and such since it was first introduced as well (including modding the effects to suit my needs). It has never been able to destroy obsidian.
*THE PARIS GUN OF MINECRAFT* Edit: at lower speeds, this shoots you 2000 meters a second, already excessive for a higher class cannon: for reference Mumbo's yeetus deleetus max estimated range: 300 meters (2400 meters per second because the payload is shot out and detonated on 2 consecutive ticks) A lower class railgun range: 1000 meters (200 meters per second) your typical excessive tnt launcher range: is 2000 meters (100 meters per second) The upper class railgun range: 8000-10000 meters (300 meters per second) At this point its overkill:10001-99999 meters (10000-1000 meters a second) Anything beyond this point is a god with no mods that directly increases your tnts launching power, but also don't fluctuate the time spent on exploding the bombs by more than 4 ticks Your 1.2.5 "Cannon to end all cannons", that was kind of right considering that tnt cannons died out when you posted this video: 160000 meters (100000-2000 meters per second)

The music worked so well :') That was awesome
*THE PARIS GUN OF MINECRAFT*
Edit: at lower speeds, this shoots you 2000 meters a second, already excessive for a higher class cannon: for reference
Mumbo's yeetus deleetus max estimated range: 300 meters (2400 meters per second because the payload is shot out and detonated on 2 consecutive ticks)
A lower class railgun range: 1000 meters (200 meters per second)
your typical excessive tnt launcher range: is 2000 meters (100 meters per second)
The upper class railgun range: 8000-10000 meters (300 meters per second)
At this point its overkill:10001-99999 meters (10000-1000 meters a second)
Anything beyond this point is a god with no mods that directly increases your tnts launching power, but also don't fluctuate the time spent on exploding the bombs by more than 4 ticks
Your 1.2.5 "Cannon to end all cannons", that was kind of right considering that tnt cannons died out when you posted this video: 160000 meters (100000-2000 meters per second)

Of course, and if you edit the blast resistance of obsidian, even ghast can blow it.
That is severely impressive.
Came for the splosions, stayed for the music!
