  • Testing the "Tumble" effect on the new dji avata 2. I thought it may have been fixed... but has it? Watch to the end to find out!

    Great video mate, it's defo not as bad as the Avata 1 as you say some whoops suffer from a bit of washout.👍🏻

      I do genuinely think it's a big improvement over the avata 1. And I wouldn't fly conservatively out of worry it will do the "tumble" as every time I've tried to make it happen, or it's happened on its own, it's not dropped altitude and its been very easily recoverable

    The wind is playing a huge factor.
    That's why it does it to the left but not to the right.
    Do you test on a super calm day to be fair!

    Avata 1 : better be careful on yaw... avata 2 : better be careful on every aspec😅😅😅, I've flow avata 2 for two days, and still feeling that body and design not for us to playing maximal around.. just always becarefull

    Hello brother!! Thanks for the video.
    I see you doing these fast turns but on my side when I try it I always get the death roll, sometimes I don't even in the max speed.
    Do you know what it could be? I unblocked the FCC in my drone since I'm in a CE region, but it should not be the cause since I just unblocking the full capacities of the drone.

    The same thing happened when I flew mine in that really windy day seems to get really pushed around

  • @changeagent228

    Flying mine in the awful wind we are having in uk has been nasty. Using the MC is a no no as it just banks constantly and wants to RTH at 55% battery. Manual mode is better but it flumps out with hard acro still as its so heavy even when the wind eases. That said I think it's still good for what it is and the O4 does look nice.

    It's mild enough that I'd rather forcibly make it happen a few times and grind out the muscle memory for recovering or transitioning into something that looks more intentional.
    This bird is already starting out on a much better foot than the Gen 1. Looking forward to seeing your results after rate adjustment.

    Feel like the Avata 2 has some sort of yaw and spin around assist. When you question with the motion control , it doesn't perfect spin around.

      Yes I agree. It's like the flight controller can do pre programmed manoeuvres with no issue... but its like the flight controller is still trying to have some input in manual mode. However.... I do think its a big improvement over the last avata

      Yea I'm sure things like this will soon become quite apparent... hopefully it's no worse than what I've managed to get it to do... and I was really trying to get it to do it

    Nice video! In dji's defence I'd say this drone isn't really for ripping around in like you do in a 6s 5" quad. This is the perfect drone for cinematic stuff and has the brake button for peace of mind. Just my 2 pence worth. 🤷🏻

    • @FPV-TV419
      @FPV-TV419  3 месяца назад +1

      I absolutely agree 💯 percent. Its a superb cinematic drone, which is its intended purpose. I think the issue is the avata 1 had the tumble issue even during very tame flying. Whereas the avata 2 seems to be able to handle much much more than just its intended purpose

    • @garethjones1
      @garethjones1 3 месяца назад

      @@FPV-TV419 the Avata 2 appears to be a very capable drone as long as you don't step out of it's intended lane. I fly 5" home built quads but due to the crap weather we have had for such a long time I have had a big break from fpv. After having big breaks I'm rusty as fk and definitely would love to have a break button. I know you can do rth with betaflight but it's not the same...

    • @FPV-TV419
      @FPV-TV419  3 месяца назад +1

      @garethjones1 yea I also have had and still own carbon traditional quads. But the avata has features that are just so good that if your Into cinematic flying/ filming (maybe not at pro paid level) then it just can't be ignored for how good it is

    • @garethjones1
      @garethjones1 3 месяца назад

      @@FPV-TV419 as much as I'm not afraid of having to do some soldering and repairs etc I just think it's a massive hassle and dji cater to a very hassle free experience which I think is the way forward for me. I'll keep a couple 5 inch quads but may sell thd rest. Keep up the good work. Subbed BTW 😉👍🏻
