This guy is the best person for this trial. He is proving that the defamation is in fact... a fact. He could not explain it more clearly. The most logical witness I have seen yet.

I'd never considered before how much weight google analytics adds to evidence in a case like this.
Proving damage to someone's reputation used to be difficult, journalists know very well how to write so that they aren't liable, but with analytics you can demonstrate how many people read the stories discussing the controversy and make a very accurate estimation of the potential damages in real numbers.
You can't rely on the tired old arguments like "nobody really believes anything kn the daily mail" when you can prove that x million people read the story and how they reacted.
Has anyone else noticed that most of the professional/experts brought by Depp's team behave and explain like actual professionals in their field? The eloquence, deep understanding, propper manners, respect and objective opinions/analysis are so much better than those of Heard's team so called "professionals/experts" that act just like her lawyers and herself 😂
He has more money, or her lawyer is of questionable ethics and the good ones won't work with her, because they are being asked to defend Amber and won't destroy their reputations by giving a false diagnosis.

They are able to either find guilty or not guilty, recommend to the judge, what the damages ai penalties might be, and behind closed doors can even decide what the law/justice, should actually be. (But if you let the court know that you know that fact, you'll never get on jury duty!) (: ))

I feel like this is the emotional validation that Johnny Depp was seeking. Despite being evident to him that Amber was abusing him and trying to smear his name, he was probably gaslit into believing that he did actually deserve the loss in his reputation - as in he ''had done something wrong'' - a feeling that most people get following persistent abuse. This is the hard proof that it was indeed Amber's allegations that ruined his reputation. It was her fault, not his.

@@meshlace9934 I know 🤗 I'm SO impatient having to wait for it. I normally don't like to wish misery on anyone, but she butchered my patience at this point and that is all I want her to feel. She needs to feel and understand how Johnny felt for all these years. Maybe it'll make her understand empathy.
I'm just amazed at how far she is able to go without evidence. What this tells me is that you can lie, but as long as you tune down physical abuse claims and tune up verbal and intimidation claims, then you don't need evidence. Even witnesses that testify against you don't seem to count. This is scary how the system works.

Truer words have never been spoken.... that is the art of narcissism at its finest. After they abuse and violate you, they successfully ruin your name and everything you've worked so hard for, they have the balls to make you look like the crazy one, and they just find their next victim while you're left cleaning up the mess they left behind and then some. So then my next question is, is it really worth the effort of cleaning your reputation they successfully sabatoged, or do you just let them continue to run their mouth and start all over again where nobody knows about you? Who cares what John Q Public thinks about Mr Depp after they learn about his private life? He's a public figure and knowing about him warts and all has nothing to do with what Amber experienced being married to him which she is entitled to express. It was her unique interaction with him. Her Q score will be pretty low now too!

Except the Q score is obvious but Johnny's team has the burden of proof. They have to prove that he never abused her, not even once. I think it's become clear that AH is the abuser. I've heard audios from Australia where she admits to cutting off his fingertip ("I didn't mean to do it") as well as other revelations that would bury her in her lies. I hope Depp's team has this audio stashed in their arsenal.

I remember getting into a fight with a now ex girlfriend about when all this stuff went down about Depp. I thought it was disgusting how he was being dragged through the mud of public opinion based off allegations alone. Now here we are years later and he’s finally able to properly defend himself in a court of law. When we take away due process no one is safe and this can happen to anyone at anytime.
I can see why she is an ex now.

I really want to thank Johnny Depp and his legal team for pushing to have this televised. I love the law and this is going to go down in HISTORY of famous cases. We had OJ Simpson in the 90's. Another big name case. Johnny is not guilty, Heard has lied under oath and for years in regards to physical abuse. And no wonder she is a drug addict.

yeah, I watched Johnny's interview of his different times and his manners are always the same even now in the trial, whereas Amber's emotions and attitude, expressions change constantly it frightens me
Let's see:
• She was arrested for assaulting her ex wife.
• Is verbally abusive.
• pooped in bed Threw bottles and cut his off.
• Confirmed in audio that you hit him other times.
• lied to the police saying that nothing happened and in court under testimony saying that he suffered domestic violence.
• She asked for a protective measure against him and couldn't lead meters away from her, and she showed up at his hotel out of nowhere.
• People that had worked for her have nothing good to say about her.
Well if he don't wn this case, will be real a shame!
You forgot that she testified that she indeed wrote the the Op Ed and even let it slip that she was hoping to have an “advantage” over Depp by accusing him of DV before Johnny could file for divorce

I was abused in my marriage and I think she's lying. He admitted to drug and alcohol abuse, but I don't think he's an abuser.
I think he did abuse her but people are infatuated with Depp because of who he is. She sounds rehearsed but she is rehearsed like every witness should be. I think he busted a bottle off inside her. That is very vivid and she had every detail precise. He might be charged later on which could leas to jail time.

Here's what we've got so far:
1) Johnny wasn't the only alcoholic and drug abuser. Amber drank 2 bottles of wine a day, and took plenty of drugs as well by her own admission.
2) Amber caught lying about using a specific line of Milani makeup that didn't exist back then to cover her bruises frequently, which was refuted by the company itself.
3) Amber has past DV arrest against her ex, admitted to DV against Johnny, suspicion of DV against her own sister (her sister was discussing it with her friends by the poolside in a video clip), and assaulted her ex-best friend in public. In contrast, Johnny has no history of being violent towards women, and his ex-spouses all speak highly of him.
4) Audio recording of Amber admitting to cutting Johnny's finger in Australia (not allowed in this trial due to technicalities), proving again that her testimony was a lie.
5) Amber's psychologist witness Dawn Hughes lied about Amber having no DV history and was caught out by Johnny's lawyer. Her entire testimony was based on what Amber told her, and not her actually being there.
6) Amber has NO witnesses or evidence (all conveniently random strangers that she doesn't know or deceased people like the bodyguard).
7) DV lawyers analyzing the case said Amber's broken nose is fake and doesn't look like any of the countless injuries they've seen, and it's impossible to cover the swelling and bruising with makeup. Her "busted lip" also looks like she bit it, instead of being split open like it should be.
8) A former FBI and CIA body language expert said Amber shows multiple signs of deception.
9) Amber allegedly got her nose broken, hit multiple times, her scalp and hair ripped off, penetrated by a bottle, dragged over broken glass and got her arms and legs "pretty cut up", then somehow felt safe enough to take sleeping pills with her "attacker" in the same house, woke up the next day and made him coffee, then went to James Corden's show miraculously healed. No marks, no scars, no pictures, no medical report . Hair stylist and makeup people saw no signs of abuse.
10) Multiple witnesses (including 3 cops) saw no signs of abuse.
11) Amber claimed she wanted to leave Johnny, but in all the audio clips she was the one begging him to stay.
12) Amber claimed she always tried to de-escalate, but in audio clips she was always the aggressor preventing him from leaving and taunting him. Her exact words: "You run away every single fight." Sure sounds like what an abuser does.
13) Amber allegedly feared for her life, but bought Johnny a large knife.
14) Amber allegedly hated Johnny's drinking problem and wanted to help him quit, but drank in front of him all the time.
15) Amber was completely different in her 2016 deposition, where she was cold, arrogant and smirking.
16) Amber proven once again as a liar when she went back on her public promise to donate her divorce money to a children's hospital (and the ACLU, but nobody cares about them because they're co-conspirators with her).
17) Pooped on the bed of a person that allegedly made her "fear for her life", blamed the pet, but later admitted it was a practical joke.
18) Amber claimed she did not want money, but demanded 14 million tax free or threatened Johnny with abuse claims.
19) In the UK trial that Johnny lost, the judge had a family member working in the Sun, there was no jury, Amber was taken at her word and not cross-examined, and key witnesses and evidence that would have helped Johnny was not allowed be to presented (eg. cops).
20) Fits Dr Curry's assessment of her multiple mental disorders:
A) Overly dramatic and embellishment - The way he allegedly beat her up was like a scene from the Avengers.
B) Flowery language - "He was the love of my life", "It felt like a warm glow".
C) Lacks actual substance - "He beat me and I thought oh the carpet is dirty. There was mashed potato on the wall and my dog stepped on a bee, but oops I don't remember if I threw the bottle at him."
D) Mimicking - Copied Johnny's outfits every day during trial, as well as Dr Curry's hairstyle.
E) Needy and needs approval - Audio of her refusing to let Johnny leave.
F) Sense of shallowness - Facial expression changes in 0.5s whenever Camille objection stun locked her.
G) Externalization of blame - Never takes accountability for anything and paints herself as an angel.
H) Deep seated anger and abuse of partners - DV.
I) Manipulation and self-centred - Gaslighting: "Look what you made me do Johnny!"
J) Fear of abandonment - Audio in Australia post finger accident of her crying and afraid that it's over between her and Johnny.
K) Make a lot of accusations when feeling slighted - Threatens with restraining order and abuse claims after Johnny wants to leave her.
L) Makes threats with legal system to keep partner from leaving - Threatens with restraining order and abuse claims after Johnny wants to leave her.

Johnny Depp is looking healthy and relaxed as the case moves forward. I think he has been assured that he is admired by many fans and general public and they have also acknowledged as to the absurdity of Heard’s dishonest behaviour on the stand.

As someone who grew up with a mother who was an alcoholic and drug addict and then entered into relationships with narcissistic men who were abusive and then myself became an addict, now sober since 2016, I can assure u Amber heard was not abused by Johnny depp. Based on the evidence I have seen and comparing things to similar situations I’ve been in and similar personalities I’ve dealt with, Johnny depp is only guilty of being am addict. Amber was controlling and when she couldn’t have control it enraged her. She also did drugs and is trying to minimize her drug and alcohol usage. I believe she would like the bear as I’m instigate fights with Johnny and when u are under the influence your reactions to that abuse would be much more elevated and u probably wouldn’t think them they as clearly as u would if u were sober. These are two people who are toxic to each other for sure but this trial is about him proving she defamed him by claiming he was a woman beater. She is trying to minimize what her faults are and place all the blame and abuse on him. He was not someone who would just beat on her out of nowhere like she is claiming in some of her testimony. She has her own mental health issues that she probably has never dealt with and too it off with the fact that she probably didn’t love him she loved the money and fame and probably was disgusted by him and especially in his moments of drinking and drug use so it frustrates her and anything he did probably annoyed her so she would snap. She would throw things or start wailing on him and any person getting things thrown at them and slapped on or hit is going to react in some way. I watched my mother do the exact same thing to my father and her boyfriends after they divorced and I have seen her get hit back but only in self defense becAuse she would keep at em. They would throw her down or grab her arms or slap her. But again only after she kept antagonizing them physically and verbally and once they would defend themselves she would cry like she was the poor beat up one. Anytime they tried to leave or walk away she would follow and continue antagonizing. Woman like this are always claiming their the victim and don’t take responsibility for their actions.

I didn't super like or dislike him, but seeing his testimony, despite him being one of the bigger celebrities, he does seem more down to earth and genuine. I appreciate that and will keep that in mind when it comes to supporting anything he is in, in the future.
Me too! Haven't kept up with his movies or career since he was on Jump Street. But stumbled on the trial by accident and haven't stopped watching since. I'm really in awe of what a good man he is after he suffered the kind of childhood that mirrors my own. I also became a victim of abuse as am adult. She is straight out lying! I'm for Johnny and pray this jury gets it right! He has suffered enough from this witches actions! He has for sure learned who his friends are and he has many. But also who not to do business with!

Yup, it is heartbreaking to see such a great actor and human being (from all the testimony I've listened to) ruined by a lying manipulative gold digging scumbag like Ms. Heard. Until she came along life was good for Mr. Depp. Meanwhile she can't even refer to him as Mr. Depp to show an ounce of respect the way he refers to her as Ms. Heard. I wonder what her Q score is now? Seeing Johnny Depp's facial expressions throughout all this just breaks my heart, I can see all the things running through is mind. All the fun memories of going to the children's hospitals dressed up as Jack Sparrow, all the fun and positive things he did with his family and friends, and then thinking about how he was ostracized and his kids were getting all this harassing information and all the terrible losses he endured during those later years. She's a MONSTER.

Johnny Depp has brought so much joy through his decades long film career. I love his work because it is quirky and whimsical and touching and funny. I watched a clip of Hollywood Vampires where Johnny sings David Bowie's Heroes - and that is what I wish for him. Because all of those who love his work and love his quirkiness - we know that he drinks and likes weed but if using those substances would make him to be a rabid dog, as Miss Horrid would have us believe, why when he is 58 has this only shown itself to her - but no one else has seen the behaviours.

I have said this before. But this is my belief- She’s been plotting and planting her lies about Johnny since BEFORE she decided to weasel her way into his life. My guess would be back during the filming of “The Rum Diary”. He said he felt “something I should not be feeling” on the set while filming. So the flirting started back then in 2009, but they didn’t leave their partners until ‘12. But she started taking pictures of “parties” and alleged bruises back in 2012. It was also very telling that the drug an alcohol use was only a problem when Amber wasn't partaking in it. As long as she was on the drugs and drunk it was fine. At the end of all of this he will be able to go back and see all the comments that people have made about how much they support him and absolutely despise her for what she has done. The public is pretty forgiving and if she had come out and said yes I lied about a lot of stuff or taken any modicum of responsibility for her own actions the public might not hate as much as they do now.

I thought this was a good witness to establish what in earlier times would be difficult to identify as damage to reputation. This gives a nice quantitative picture. However, I hope the jury understands the analysis. Because if they do not understand it, they might not underplay the significance and think it’s possibly bias.
I worry about the jury too. I hope they all see things the way do and aren’t swayed by theatrical acting.

The thing people need to keep in mind about this trial, as much as the testimonies might make one forget, is that that the trial is about whether or not Amber Heard's accusations defamed Johnny Depp, and whether or not the effect, if any, it had on his career was intentional. The main reason that most defamation cases fall through is because it's insanely difficult to prove malicious intent beyond any shadow of a doubt in *any* case, nevermind a case of defamation. This is why in most cases, intent doesn't have much weight. It *does* have weight of course, but not as much as actions. If Heard's team is able to make a reasonable doubt as to whether she had *any* other, non-malicious reason for the op-ed being done, then she'll be found not guilty of defamation, and shitty as it may feel to admit, Heard's team has actually done a pretty decent job of doing that in the legal sense (which is the only sense that matters as this is a legal case), and the chances of Johnny getting a favorable ruling are quite slim.
That said, this trial went past defamation a loooong time ago in the eyes of public opinion, and Heard's career is probably over as a result. She's on the level of unpopular at this point that people will boycott anything she's a part of. Meanwhile, Johnny has probably never been seen in a more positive light, or at least not for a long, long time, and he basically has the exact opposite thing going for him that Heard does, which is people will trip over themselves in order to see *anything* that has to do with Johnny Depp. And even in the very realistic scenario that he decides "Ok, this was some horseshit, I'm done, retirement time, fame is stupid," *that* would trigger a massive uptick in how many people are buying movies and stuff he's starred in, which means more money in his pocket; Either way, unless something wildly damning comes out, Johnny's already won. Worst case scenario he's looking at this point is he loses the case, has to pay court fees, and then retires to live a very comfortable life in private knowing that despite the results of the case, the public loves him.
Good summary but do you think the witness evidence and photos of depps injuries will show who is the actual abuser and from there can deduce intent of her publishing the op ed?
The burden of proof is preponderance of evidence, not beyond a reasonable doubt. I agree with you that it looks not so great for Depp, and that he has also redeemed himself in the public eye.

That's a lot to prove, and it just takes one person on the jury to believe that he touched her once, or that her intent in writing the op-Ed wasn't malice, or that his substance abuse is what caused his career to implode and he will lose. I think Johnny is a smart man in having the cameras in the courtroom, though, as he knows that it is a very unlikely win, but he has now redeemed himself in the court of public opinion.

I don’t think the lawsuit is really about the money - given that he’s rich already. I feel like the point is for Johnny to be able to publicly defend himself. If he wins the case I think it would be easier for companies who dropped him to decide to work with him again. If he loses, he won’t have that official court approval, so idk what companies will do. Whatever happens, he’s definitely swayed public opinion in his favor tho.

After getting so much money Amber Heard should not have written those articles. There could be truth in claims on both sides but it did a lot of damage to JD.
It amazed my that Johnny’s side have proof and facts on almost anything but Amber’s side only so far backed up by her stories and hearsay.
