The boy seemed more like a possible student of sort to Viktor since the younger minds are more prone to curiosity. Viktor offered the boy front row seats to his work commonly done alone, and shared sweetmilk with the boy while confessing a weakness of his own (For a person obsessing about perfection, that's pretty big). when i was watching the series i kept thinking 'okay so when does he become evil?' but i suppose i assumed wrong, his champion always seemed evil but he had good intentions
I like how he already is going through some mental change that small weaknesses isn't a bad thing. Like him liking sweet milk. It seems he already realised that everybody needs to decide on his own how to life their life and he also isn't afraid to keep some parts of his old self alive. True character growth right there.
@pikaboo No i have to disagree with you here, his heart is absolute pur in case of helping people, yes his way of helping them is augementing them, but he still has more human in him than he likes to admit to himself. If he only sees them as experiments why would he have tried everything else on the intoxicated people, bevore he had augemented them?
Jayce's story ends with him helping a little girl. Viktor's story ends with him helping a little boy. Now I want to see those two grow up and become rivals. And the thing with Viktor and Jayce... it was smart of RIOTs Lore department to have both of their stories include them interacting with children. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him" -Malcolm S. Forbes. Despite Jayce being snappy and arrogant, he protects a child from falling rubble and agrees to fix their doll. Despite Viktor being hyper-rational and unfeeling, he consoles a fearful child, offers them a drink, and even helps the kid with their bullying problem. It shows that both characters are good people deep down, even though their values are polar opposites.
So Jayce is just: Me Me Me Me Me Me until trouble starts brewing And Viktor is just fucking around in his lab bringing humans closer to perfection and make children smile Also What the fuck is up with the battlecast universe is it still valid now?
No. Viktor used the child for an experiment. The child is of greater use for a behavior experiment, and would be more willing to adapt to viktors designs. Viktor suggests the child can always come back for upgrades and improvements... what do you think happened? The child returned to viktor after his fear was conquered and would then be a WILLING test subject for further experiments. Submitting to viktors designs. It is not evil, but a question of what is morally right. Viktor is gaining a faithful experimenter, and improving the boy beyond his natural limits, helping both viktor and the boy.
@@Halomygamo That's just paranoia and projection, though. The same thing that terrified Jayce into destroying Viktor's legacy, his lab, and killing Viktor's patients. Viktor has already eliminated or suppressed most emotions in himself. He IS his own test subject, as evidenced by his total self-conversion. Why does he need a small child?
So Viktor's not a villain. He's just a genius that was born with an emotional screw loose. He actually believes that he's saving people by eliminating the "weaker" fleshy bits. In the case of all those people with the Hextech Crystal, I would say, "Is he really saving them if they technically live, but no longer have free will or any shred of their former personalities left?" He views most of the facets of free will and personality as weakness though. So he's not worried about eliminating those things when he's trying to "save lives" and is fundamentally incapable of seeing the problem with that. Both he and Jayce are just people so smart that they can't understand what makes average human beings average human beings. They have garbage people skills, and in the case of Viktor, some of the most basic parts of what a human cares about are lost on him. At the very least though, he seems to be less of an asshole than Jayce. I like the way both of their stories end with a random child visiting their lab to give us a window into what they are like on the average day.
this is the sad part, heroes always win, because winners are heroes, not because they are morally rigth, but because they have win.Winners chose what is morally rigth, but it will always feel weird in a fiction story because winner wont change the moral of the real world, but if all of this was real and Viktor win, it would surelly become the morally rigth way to follow.
instead of rewatching arcane... I came back here to lament how viktor didn't git his "FOR DA GLORIOUS EVOLUTION" in arcane. Brah coulda been a totally badass villain. With good intention, fell from grace

Viktor has always been my favorite character in LoL and has my absolute favorite lore. I'm beyond ecstatic to see Arcane doing his backstory so wonderfully.
Jayce automatically thinks he's amazing so of course he'd think that. Viktor comes from Zaun so his trust is probably a lot harder to get because of this.
@@sunayshastri arcane slightly changes the original lore though, some of the ideas and structure is still there but there’s definitely changes, like how Jayce and Viktor are the creators of hextech in arcane but in their original lore they didn’t create it but simply use it in new innovative ways

Viktor has to be by far my most favorite champion in league. People think he's bad until they read his lore and learn that he's misunderstood and only wants to help. It's also really cute how in Viktor's second lore he claims sweetmilk to be his weakness
I think it's cool how in both Jayce and Viktor's story either one can be considered as the hero. It's up to the audience to decide, which is super cool.
Even though i thought Jayce's and ekko's lores were cool Viktor's is on a whole new level of deep meanings and sadness. I have to feel sorry for the guy :(
I also like the fact that Jayce doesn't start off as arrogant and aloof, but is instead fast tracked into a position of power and prestige that is the fertile ground for someone too young for that position to actually become arrogant and aloof in a more organic fashion. The writers for the show have kept the foundations of who these characters are but understand character development in a more natural and engaging manner. I'm sure lore purists would disagree, but there is now legions of people both familiar and unfamiliar with LoL lore that would agree. The thing about being a 'legend' though is that a legend is an embellishment of a grounded truth, so the show doesn't necessarily ret-con the original lore if that original lore is the embellishment.
I think this lore changed for the sake of Arcane.. Based on the current happenings Jayce seems to be good friend with Viktor and even encouraged him to stand with him as Jayce sees him as 'Partner'. And the Arcane would make Viktor's character manipulated by singed's values. I also think the professor Stanwick thing was removed since Viktor was working for Heim in Arcane
I love this, as a chronically ill person I get him. Honestly when he gave his fear inhibitor to the child and let him outside may sound like a heroic thing to do-but my stomach immediately sank with anxiety. Fear is crucial to your survival, and Viktor giving a soft, human child such a thing is deadly. Why children die so easily in the first place, the don’t have the experience or instinct yet. After the bullies, he could’ve walked around a corner and dealt with a real mugger, or creature. Same response, different outcome. Fear doesn’t protect you from harm-I’m not saying to be a coward-but it sure as hell helps you avoid it. Fear gives you the instinct to survive, alongside adrenaline. Sorry for the novel, I just thought that dark note needed to be said of Viktor. Emotions help keep you alive, they have a scientific & survival purpose. A human would be concerned over the child’s safety, a robot would watch as an experiment.
Jayce is the true villan. but neither him nor piltover know it yet. who knows maybe zaun is just a good place in bad condition and piltover is a bad place in good condition
@@liamb7677 Both of them are right, in their own ways. Neither Viktor nor Jayce are inherently good or bad, they are complex with their own drives, purposes and goals, just like any human beings.
This is incredibly interesting. He's such a morally grey character and has such good intentions but his methods are questionable. I feel like he's a Naruto villain XD
i like how both jayce and victor in the end helped a child and remembered the good aspects of humans, so maybe there will be a future alliance again in the times of need
But Jayce did kill 100 people, so I don't think they would cooperate. Jayce and Viktor have two completely different intentions and personalities, Jayce is a fuckwad who looks at himself in a mirror and thinks he's sexy while Viktor wants to further human evolution, Jayce is a douche you meet in school who everyone thinks is so cool because he has 3 cs go knives and Viktor is that guy who helps you out on your science tests
Does anyone else think that the workshop that Jayce destroyed is the one that Ekko found? It would make sense because of the "hextech shards" he talks about in his story that were found in a "destroyed workshop" while Viktor's evolved searched for them!
I am really hoping that once Viktor goes through his transformation in Arcane (which I am actually not anxious to see happen to my poor boy) Riot would give his game character a Rework or at least a Visual update.
I'm so glad that I can come back to this now, after the new story came out, it's quite refreshing to know that the only one is still out there. (No hate to the new one, but I prefer this one.)
Viktor is a good example of someone with good intentions though his way of getting there can be questioned. (i main him in league anyway) but hes definately not a bad guy. He tried to help everyone through their biggest weakness, fear.

Actually, the fear is a good thing for survival and he might know this, but by giving people a power to overcome them when they need to do so puts his glorious evolution in a good place but not a necessary one.
when i was watching the series i kept thinking 'okay so when does he become evil?' but i suppose i assumed wrong, his champion always seemed evil but he had good intentions
I like how he already is going through some mental change that small weaknesses isn't a bad thing. Like him liking sweet milk. It seems he already realised that everybody needs to decide on his own how to life their life and he also isn't afraid to keep some parts of his old self alive. True character growth right there.
viktor is the best boy man i feel bad for him
Irdi Gega yea he is so misunderstood from any other LOL characters perspektive but he is actully helping People with their problems
He is helping them in exchange of using them as test subjects must i remind you
@pikaboo No i have to disagree with you here, his heart is absolute pur in case of helping people, yes his way of helping them is augementing them, but he still has more human in him than he likes to admit to himself. If he only sees them as experiments why would he have tried everything else on the intoxicated people, bevore he had augemented them?
Feeling bad for him, you should know the emotion is your weakness.
how about now?
The best part of this video is how accurate this man's accent is for Victor, this is so close to how he sounds in Arcane
Who’s here after the Arcane series on Netflix

Literally all of us lol all the videos on jinx, vi, viktor and jayce are gonna pop off.

"After"? It's still ongoing lel.
Viktor does not need a punch, or a hammer in the face...he needs a bloody hug!
So Jayce is just: Me Me Me Me Me Me until trouble starts brewing
And Viktor is just fucking around in his lab bringing humans closer to perfection and make children smile
Also What the fuck is up with the battlecast universe is it still valid now?
@@culinarycrusader4978 yes its alternate universe but tbh its not that far off from viktors current goals
Also the fact that how they interact with fame, Jayce accepted it, while Victor couldn't care much
Riot took a retelling of the Tesla vs Edison arc and made it into the beautiful story that is Arcane.
Viktor grindset: Hex before sex
Jayce betaset: Sex before hex
Watching the Arcane Act 2 be like:
Those who don't know: 🌝
Those who know: 🌚
Viktor: stop banging girls Jayce.
I'm dying.
@@春樹-e1b you mean
“Stop beatboxing Jayce. I’m dying.”
Now find a new sticker for act 3
Viktor be like "Hex before Sex"
@@春樹-e1b
Jayce: “Shit dawg, I didn’t know you were dying, Go find the dude and save yourself”
HE SAID THE THING! VIKTORS GLORRRRIOUS EVOLUTION
And thus necrit joined the glorious Evolution...
after all that, necrit and 80% of his subscribers. All hail the glorious evolution.

this is the sad part, heroes always win, because winners are heroes, not because they are morally rigth, but because they have win.Winners chose what is morally rigth, but it will always feel weird in a fiction story because winner wont change the moral of the real world, but if all of this was real and Viktor win, it would surelly become the morally rigth way to follow.
Jayce is the hero, Viktor is a selfish bastard. Just watch Arcane.

I'm crying for his lore just like in arcane damn you riot making this characters so good!!!
Yeah the only things that don't line up with me are him and jayce never being friends and him needing to take the hextech thing by force but maybe I'm missing something
@@calycalyps0 well how about now
Viktor has always been my favorite character in LoL and has my absolute favorite lore. I'm beyond ecstatic to see Arcane doing his backstory so wonderfully.
I didn't expect not to find a single mention of hextech in Viktor's lore, that's for sure
Okay, can we talk about how in Jayce's lore, he considered them friends, and Victor doesn't give two shits about Jayce.
Jayce automatically thinks he's amazing so of course he'd think that. Viktor comes from Zaun so his trust is probably a lot harder to get because of this.
@@spawner2469 in arcane it seems like they were pretty good friends
@@sunayshastri arcane slightly changes the original lore though, some of the ideas and structure is still there but there’s definitely changes, like how Jayce and Viktor are the creators of hextech in arcane but in their original lore they didn’t create it but simply use it in new innovative ways
That's Jayce's perception.
He's the one who wouldn't speak up when Viktor's project was stolen.
Shit people have shit perception.
@@Jake-bk4ff They mightve invented the company and industry of hextech, but they did not create the idea of harnesting arcane for tools. We see in jayces childhood, there is at least one other person who figured this out long before jayce and viktor-- they just didnt coin the term hextech.
theyre still only using it in new and innovative ways
Jayce with a kid: is mean enough to make her cry (if she wasn't so persistent)
Viktor with a kid: offers to prank other kids, speaks nicely and explains whats going on and makes him a hot drink.
I think we have an obvious winner here 😂
And offers future enhancements

Who is here after arcane, after they replaced this briliant character with malza from zaun
Viktor has to be by far my most favorite champion in league. People think he's bad until they read his lore and learn that he's misunderstood and only wants to help.
It's also really cute how in Viktor's second lore he claims sweetmilk to be his weakness
After watching episode 3 of arcane and now I feel satisfied that viktor will turn to be a good guy
He always was a good guy
I love that scene in Arcane where Viktor was running and the violin playing in Background.
Such an artistic scene❤️❤️
what i learned from jayce and viktor lore: jayce is a jerk and viktor isnt evil, just misunderstood
“Only you can show me this” thank you Necrit. I will miss this.
I think it's cool how in both Jayce and Viktor's story either one can be considered as the hero. It's up to the audience to decide, which is super cool.
Even though i thought Jayce's and ekko's lores were cool Viktor's is on a whole new level of deep meanings and sadness. I have to feel sorry for the guy :(
is the arcane friendship between Viktor and Jayce retconning how they were “never really friends” bccs it makes it all the better
agreed. you have to form a good relationship to properly tear it apart
@@Dilligff definitely
@@Dilligff I already see some Lore purist hate Jayce currently in Act 2 however I think it was an amazing buildup how he will changed slowly.
They probably once were. But people changed.
I went to this video after watching Arcane. Well, it seems that Jayce and Viktor's plotline is even more interesting than Vi and Powder's
Because Jinx and Vi's lore is a speck of dust in the universe of Runeterra. Jayce and Viktor's had more impact to the lore.
Watching this to purify my soul after seeing what Arcane did to my boy and not just him, but literally everyone else. I still can't believe it.
For real 😔
Tell me about it.
They literally have the entire outline for the story and they still blow it. Adaptations can never just stick to material
they improved the source material actually
@@noblebojack some better, some worse. Jinx, Vi, and Cait are much better. Victor is kinda... eh. Grand, yes. Improved? Subjective(imo no).
Gotta Remember what they took from us
I love this, as a chronically ill person I get him.
Im pretty sure that thing was just a placebo.
As another chronically ill person, I really relate to Viktor too 💜 he is 100% my comfort character
VIKTOR NARRATING HIS OWN LORE????
Necrit before you, I never would have given a fuck about lore. U give league another meaning. Thank you!!

i like how both jayce and victor in the end helped a child and remembered the good aspects of humans, so maybe there will be a future alliance again in the times of need
maybe the project skins are even their combined effort...
Also this is one of the best told and written stories by far
Storytelling: 10/10
Voice acting: 10/10
Viktor’s character model: 2/10
But Viktor's character model in Arcane tho: 12800/10
