Fantastic work and analysis by yourself - thoroughly enjoyed your video. I found that during 2020 lockdown i went on long walks in that hot summer we had in the uk. I would walk for 2 hours a day. After 3 months my hair was much thicker and had a new glorious texture and feel. Im convinced the sun and increased scalp blood flow from walking helped. 1. Hair transplant.
At the end of the day this will give you the best outcome compared to anything else. It's worth the time, money and effort.
    2. GFC/PRP

One of the major causes of hair loss is scalp hardening due to a build up of calcium deposits. There is a high correlation between scalp flexibility and balding.

Something tells me it will help overall. Even if i dont regrow new hair at least I can maintain what I have and maybe improve thickness which should help the overall look I guess. Great work! Just an observation, there's a theory that fibrosis i.e scar tissue builds within the scalp tissue making it difficult for new hair to grow as this tissue wedges between the follicles and blood vessels so the follicles can't get any blood to grow again.
Just by looking at your scalp there looks to be a dome shape which suggests fibrosis. People with no hair loss tend to have flat head profiles.
Robert English has done a lot of work around this and scalp massages with wooden tools to aggressively break down fibrosis have had good results. When I say aggressive I mean the wooden tools look like fat hair combes and a lot of pressure is applied to break down the tissue. Could be something worth trying.
Just because all the techniques you're trying are great but they look more like they are helping existing hair. Reducing DHT and encouraging hair flow works mainly for existing hairs. Study's have shown that by just stopping DHT doesn't actually simply make new dormant follicles grow hair again in most men. It requires something to kick start that process and it makes sense that aggressive massages with wooden tools can break down fibrosis to try and make that happen.

@@mirandapillsbury7885 If anything, from the research I've seen, more aggression usually equates to more stimulation and better regrowth results. I am glad you are open to the idea of using low dose oral finasteride. You are right that it is almost as effective while mitigating the risks of side effects. I made a video about it called "what is the optimal dose of finasteride."
Saw palmetto is a 5ar inhibitor but using it would be like trying to fight a wildfire with a water dropper. Mechanistically the theory is sound but in terms of outcome it hasn't been proven effective.
I was in the same boat as you for a while where I was terrified of finasteride and I kept trying these alternative treatments. None of them worked for me and it was only when I went on the FDA approved treatments that I noticed any benefits.

dermapen works so much better. It's difficult to apply the pressure needed on a roller to penetrate deep enough, and the deeper you go the more the very real possibility of scarring since the "needle" (often not actually a needle) goes in and out at weird angles. Pen you can pre-set to a given length and I find it much easier to psych myself up to penetrate deeper to stimulate the bulb. I noticed a difference very soon after adding the pen. I still use a roller daily for a light topical minoxidil absorption helper, but the pen is where its at.

Hello. Do you feel you've slowed down your hair loss at all doing these methods? Thank you.
I'm very early in my hair loss, still a full head of hair but I'm thinning for sure. Could dermarolling and what you've done in this video be beneficial to me? I don't want to start fin/min. Thanks!

Hey, I can't know for sure but I felt like I was slowing my hair loss. However, in the latest progress picture I could tell I've not stopped or reversed it so I've just started micro-dosing finasteride (0.5g every other day instead of 1mg/day). It's cheaper and supposedly gives 90% of the benefits of a full dose. I will continue taking it until Jan/Feb 2023 and if it's not working then that's me done and I'll just shave it all off

I am giving it one more try in the summer to confirm whether the insomnia was definitely linked to the Fin.
