Extremely helpful video. Thank you SO much. I want to start RUclips videos, but I was reluctant because all I have to use to film is my 6 Plus, after watching this I'm happy to have the 6 plus camera. Super cool features, thank you for sharing!
I am a RUclipsr and use iMovie in my iPod 6 to edit my videos. It's not as great as I'd like it to be, but it does the job and with some creativity you can do some pretty cool things with it.
Not going to lie, that's really impressive. I shoot films on my GH4 and use professional editing software "Adobe Premiere Pro After Effects Cinema 4D" etc. But this video is actually beyond impressive given that it's all done on the fly in phone. You could use these features on set to block out a scene and give everyone on set 'crew and actors' a very decent representation of what is trying to be achieved. I've seen a comparison of iPhone 6s 4K footage to GH4 4K footage and they would be very easy to match up in post so even using the iPhone as a second perspective camera isn't as outlandish as some might think. Last but not least the iPhone 6s Plus as you have stated has image stabilization and continuous autofocus that actually work pretty well and those are features that the GH4 doesn't have. Love this video THANKS.
Just Awesome! Always trying to be different :) I always like when you do videos like this. It inspires those who don't have the top of the line equipment to just go out and shoot with what they got. Reminds me of my younger years on RUclips without a DSLR and always buying camcorders to improve my production value haha
Hey Matt, Greetings from Malaysia. Absolutely amazingly detail tips and tricks, I'm amazed and thx ....i finally got a chance to try out something new. You've got urself a new subscriber.
Really loved your tips. Do you know what are the best setting to use for indoor filming to get a dramatic lowlight effect ? I'm assuming I still have to overfill the subject with light and then edit in the dim effect to get the ambiance.
This is awesome. Learning lots from you. Have a stupid question though. Why is it that when I save my video, it's automatic at cropped out smaller? It's driving me nuts!
Killer work! This is fantastic. Really. I've been shooting with my iPhone 7+, and I'm preparing to release some stuff on my channel. The quality is stupid good--and on your phone?!?!?
Mimi Iman sorry if this is late but if you haven't go to setting then scroll down to camera and photos then scroll down to video quality and then 1080p 60 fps
This was really amazing and currently watching this in 2018. But would you suggest any Iphone or Ipad app that will blend my self's video with another video as a background? probably like mask effect?
How do you get your video so clear?! I recently uploaded a video to RUclips from my iPhone 6 Plus, shot in 1080p 60fps, and selected HD for the upload, but it plays back really grainy. Any suggestions? BTW, your video looks amazing!
Wow great vid... have you noticed cinematic stabilization is nowhere what it used to be in the past few months?! My iPhone shoots like almost any other video camera now and Apple hasn't said anything about it. Thanks for the Movie Looks tip... super good.
I loved the video edit but something about the grade or the overlay filter.. Seems too cold, should have been more darker black or maybe even a bit warm
Great job on this film! I do have a question for you.. With Efexio, what's the difference between buying the regular or pro version of animations? Also tell the girl great acting!👍
Awesome video, thanks for showing us how you pulled it off! In the original, you had Filmic Pro listed as one of the apps you used. Did you use Filmic Pro to lock exposure and focus, or just exposure and let the iphone 6's focus pixels do their thing? Just wanted to ask since in this video you mentioned how good the focusing was working. Thanks!
This video is amazingly informative for a beginners.

everytime i use my iphone, i only use the front cam and record my own face and then delete it. never thought the rear camera is this powerful

SWEET!!! I'm getting my iphone 6 plus friday and it's about to be some films being made!!! great video man
Great behind the scenes! I like the lower-frequency sound when she takes the sword in the beginning.

Fantastic work Matt, just goes to show you can get almost anything done on a mobile phone.
I dont think Android phones will produce this level of perfection. They don't have as much good quality apps as the App Store.
Exactly

I think the most impressive thing is that you were somehow able to keep sane while editing it on such a small screen.

Awesome man. I didn't know about being able to drag it like that. That's great.
Awesome video Mathew! On video crop, how do you get the black bars? When I crop it it does not give me black bars?! Plz help
I NEED BLACK BARS IN MY IOS VIDEO!!!! HOW CAN I DO THAT???
I used an app called Video Crop.
I know, but how did you get the black bars? When I do it, it crops it without the black bars
Go to iMovie and save it, it crops the video anyway you like you just need to save it back to 16:9 and they will be there,I hope that makes sense haha
O'Brien Edits ok so I save the video in iMovie, go to the app, change it to 16:9 then the black bars should be there?
thanks again
That was amazing i am gong to try all of those next week
