I gotta say, I’ve never been into Malmsteen, but since I’m such a fan of your content (specifically Mesa stuff) I gladly watch all videos you put out. So, this is a wonderful way for me to get a glimpse into the Malmsteen gear world… from your perspective as a super fan. Thanks, great video as always
@derekdamager7928 much appreciated! Thanks for watching and commenting. I've always wanted to try to help folks answer questions that I had, or that many folks ask in these realms, so that they don't have to spend a bunch of $ 😁
@hermanodejesus7264 thanks for watching and commenting! These are poly finish, so they started off about this color. Maybe slightly more green now, but poly doesn't generally yellow very much.
@xounlistedxox good to know.... I'm very happy you have taken the time to make these videos and to respond our comments 🎸🎸🎸. When it comes to YJM strats YOU ARE THE MAN 💥
Based on your Ultimate YJM Strat Page I'm dying to get what you call a 3rd gen USA made no bullet but with HS3s,. Blue color and rosewood fretboard 💫💥.HARD to find let me tell ya. Thanks again for your work and dedication.
@waynegram8907 thanks for watching and commenting! Only the Standard model and Pre-signature models from Japan used diecast bridge block & saddles. The official models made for Japan were just like the US Models with steel saddles and brudge blocks
@@xounlistedxox I think Dan Smith made Yngwie First signature models but not sure if Dan Smith still worked for fender at the time to know why the american VS japan models used different bridge block materials. Dan Smith approached yngwie to do the very first ever signature artist series model strat before any other guitarist. You should check if these yngwie strats Dan Smith had anything to do with them.
@zacinnc78 only other it would be a certain amp Reissue. If that's what you are referring to, then unfortunately no. Our only local dealer is Guitar Center and they're absolutely shit

And no brass nut! But when i have the chance i play one! 😀
@tymanngruter1808 thanks for watching and commenting! Yes, these were the only official signature model that didn't come with a brass nut!
@xounlistedxox 👍
Thank you for explaining this!

@@waynegram8907 funny though, Japan was doing YJM type strats as early as 85' from what I've been able to find 👀
@@xounlistedxox But was Dan Smith only involved with ONLY the USA american yngwie models or also the Japsn Yngwie models?
@waynegram8907 I hadn't heard any part of Fender USA was involved with any part of Fender Japan, they kinda did their own thing
did you get "it"? (u know what im talking about)

@zacinnc78 sweetwater finally called me... just to tell me they're out and I can get on the next shipment.
Very disappointed
Why do you say his name all weird? It's pronounced Ying-wee.
@sirthom3275 it's actually pronounced Ingysteen Malmateen with a J
