Once I spoke to a former Yngwie's tech who told me that in the early 2000s he used more often these than the American ones for gigs. I never tried them though: just curious, how do they compare to the USA models?
They are just as good as, sometimes better than the USA models! I still feel the MIJ YJM's are very undervalued overall. Get them now before folks start to realize!
These older japanese ones are my dream guitar. My first paycheck from my first job after I graduate from university will go to one of these.
They're worth every penny!
There was a used Japanese Yngwie in a local store. Loved the huge frets. Wish they made them lefty.
The action on the ST71 seems to be crazy high haha
I set all my actions pretty high, once you get used to it, it's not a big deal, and the notes sustain longer!

What do you think of the current made in Japan ones v the USA, don't know the differences and it's hard to find much info. Don't know which to go for.
That's one of the few models I don't own it the current MIJ's. Have hear many good things!
Thanks man! 😎👍
