@Fuzzybunny-ki1cw I really appreciate that! Thank you. Jist want to help folks out in ways that are helpful. This way they can make an informed decision the first time rather than have to spend a bunch of money chasing whatever it is they're after.
@uncaringnick7438 is much appreciated! I've been playing scalloped necks since the 90s, so it's 2nd nature to me. If you haven't played them before, there will be a learning curve to it.
Great info master, anywhere in your channels you have info about the action of the strings/saddles ? That’s been a mystery , I have 2 one custom made by myself from a MIM and one 2014 , pretty cool
Thank you Brando for letting us know these detailed measurements. I measured my YJMs too, and I noticed that the nut width is slightly less than the neck width at the same place when using my digital caliper. (The differences are around 0.5-1.00mm sometimes). So just wanna confirm that your results are strictly measured at nuts and frets but the neck's wood edges? Thank you!
@bcaz84 Unfortunately, none of the local stores actually carry the YJM strats in stock, so I haven't had the opportunity to try one myself to confirm. If you're new to a scalloped board, this will be a common problem no matter which year you buy. Just gotta practice until it's a non issue. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@xounlistedxox I bought a YJM strat, its incredible. the high E slip is no where near as bad as I thought and I have no problems with keeping the current bridge.
Thank you so much for the shout out Brandon! Just about to watch the video! I’m so intrigued to see the results from this!
It was a face palm moment for me for sure haha. I have no idea why I haven't done this video before. Thank you for reminding me! :)
this guy is my favorite

Beautiful collection dude. It’s extremely cool 😎 getting myself a 2024 YJM Strat for Christmas this year!

@zhangbowst hey, thanks for watching and commenting!
Yes, you are correct. I measured at the nut and 21st fret, but used the neck wood as the guide
Cool vid..tks 👍🏻

Hi Brandon, the 2016 Candy Apple Red is Usa or Japan? Thank you! Anyway, great video 😀
@marcobelgioia8382 it's USA, 2016 neck with mid 2000's YJM body
Why doesn't Yngwie pair up with this guy and have a history of the YJM Strat video?
So do I buy a YJM 2020 strat??? even with people complaining about slipping e string and nitro neck coat.
