My T Verb is a G and doesn’t need a boost either. But a treble booster into Orange vintage is a lot of fun and both the clean, set a little dirty and the blues setting, take boosts really well for different flavor.
@zacinnc78 great ears! I like some of the riffs on the Mark and some on the Recto, lol. This was very evenly matched, IMO. Next I may put a boost up front of the recto and a PEQ in the loop of the Mark and do another comparison
Rev F Tremoverb's came out mid year in 93. Not many were made and most were rev G's. That's why most people don't know they exist. I love my 92 Rev F with the mark III transformers. So mean and doesn't need a boost!
According to Fluff’s recto guide the ReV F’s with the mark III transformers didn’t last long maybe up to serial 1500. Then Mesa switched them to the mark IV transformers all the way into the G series
@ThyFinalPain the JP-2C is a Masterpiece in brutal metal tones, I know you'll love it! Have you played one before? I can see you spending a LOT of tome on Shred Mode!
@@xounlistedxox I already had one of the Limited Version, but i was dumb enough to sell it fast. After that, Mesas haven't been available in Europe. Now i've been waiting for over 2,5 Years. :D It's a great Amp.
@@xounlistedxox Yeah. I've only seen the used one i bought back then. Mesa switched to a different Transformer Supplier. I'm curious how they differ, if at all.
Cool video!!!!!🚀💥💥💥☝✌😃
@@777BULLDOZER much appreciated! Thanks for watching and commenting
The Rev F was the best sounding recto, so brutal so good :) Nice one Brandon.
@@jazz_grooves much appreciated, thanks for watching and commenting! It does sound pretty damn good!

@@Skoora thanks for watching and commenting! Great info! Thank you
Mark is 1 and Rec is 2. I have a IV and VII and no Rec so can pick out that mid range difference and 6k instantly.
@@woodward_alan great ears!
I guess 1 is Mark, 2 is recto (because of that top end sizzle)
@distortedchannel1022 great ear!
yep agreed. mark mid content is unmistakable
Mark is #1, the Mark has a characteristic squawk in the mids.
Yes. Unmistakeable mark mid
my ears prefer #2 by far for those type riffs(1 sounds markish)

I feel like 1 is the Mark and 2 is the Recto.
Both sound great either way.

@@vogtgrant1 I should look at the transformers and see what's in there! This thing is a beast for sure

@@vogtgrant1 now I'm definitely curious!
I'm gonna get my JP-2C by the end of September. Hopefully. I've been waiting for a long time. That means: Mark for me, nowadays.

@ThyFinalPain man, I'd love to have one of those limited editions! They don't pop up often. Fortunately, they sound the same as all the rest of them 😁

#1 is the Mark, honkier more pronounced mids, #2 Recto bigger woolier low end and low mids ?
Also the Recto has that chainsaw rasp. My 2c
@@artvandelay2111 excellent observations! Thanks for watching and commenting.
IV, so much tighter and punchier.
Possibly, but which one is the IV? lol :)
