Feel like I should clarify some things. The reason why they show the supers multiple times is to show that they have different properties and alternatives such as changing the direction the projectile moves or adding more or less hits to the attack. Helps add variety and options to the gameplay
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames my favorite is with Gogeta Red, with the second big beam super. That one, which he sadly didn't show the health bars for, is an instant kill attack, the only one of its kind in the game.
Captain Ganyu is the purple guy who spat out the little orange ball and ate the one that came from Goku. Essentially one of his most famous fighting techniques is the ability to trade souls with whoever he's fighting. Goku fought back because Ganyu is in his body now and vice versa.
Most of the smaller ones are Goku's kids which is why they look similar. The little blue one is Goku but turned into a kid which is why for his finisher he turns back into his adult body briefly. Some of the times Goku shows up is him doing the attack with his kids because they're iconic moments in the series. Also any time someone's voice is doubled is because they're a fusion between two characters. Usually they're the ones with black and gold coats.
This helps. The confusing part is that their is a small Goku and also Gokus kid. And it would make sense that they look similar but it’s going to take us a bit to figure out which one is which 😂

Next movie is supposed to age up a lot of characters though so by the next game characters will be easier to distinguish. I don't think the last season had finished airing until shortly before the game came out so they were limited in terms of who they could use. There were movie characters but they didn't want to use movie characters for the main game and saved them for DLC.
For context since Bethany asked if the others are Goku Goku is a saiyan, his species can transform in Super forms and they all turn blonde usually when they do. Captain Ginyu the Purple Guy who "lost" his fight actually switched bodies with Goku like he did in the show. It's how he fights, usually mortally wounding his old body to then take over a stronger body while handicapping his opponent. The Blonde Woman who called in help is Android 18. The Black haired guy is her brother Android 17. While the second is Krillin her husband.
So a little context relating to the game. 6:42 Captain Ganyu (honey purple guy) can swap bodies as his ultimate move. He can also summon his men to help him in a fight. 10:20 Android 18 (the blonde lady) her ultimate lv3, she summons her brother to help out but if Krillin is in your team he'll come instead because he's her husband which is a nice easter egg. 11:02 Andriod 16, (mohawk guy) can blow himself up so that's what's going on there when he squeezes his eyes shut and, ugh, explodes 12:12 Tien (the 3 eye monk) has a movie that deals a lot of damage but it actually hurts him so he can spam it but he's actively eating away at his own health doing it. Also 1 time a match he can "summon" Chiaotzu (the little guy) who will blow himself up. It's a call back to when that happen in Dragon Ball Z. 15:10 Videl is dating Gohan and they have a whole cheesy superhero thing going on. Also Gohan has to look out for her as she tends to bite off more than she can chew but for the most part he lets her handle things herself. Which is cute and it's nice gameplay wise because it makes her somewhat unique compared to other characters. Finally a lot of the weak looking supers are more utility and have another goal besides doing damage. I guess a good example is 16:29 with Gohan, ugh, screaming. It does damage but it also powers Gohan up. Also you can burn more meter for more power but it's harder to land so it becomes more risky. Captain Ganyu is another one where his body swap can fail and you kind of screw your self but if it works you still have to kind of know the character you just stole. I think when he does that it tanks his life bar too so screwing that up can leave you near death with no resources so it's really risky. I might be wrong about that but really it makes sense and that's pretty much what he did in the show.
So ginyu (the purple guy who lost) has the ability to swap bodies. So he can change bodies normally or he can damage himself and change bodies and you swap health bars also.
Swap health bars?! Damn. That’s a nice ability. Does it only last a certain amount of time? I remember having that ability in Marvel Contest of Champions with a character and if you didn’t time it right you could get screwed 😝

On the topic of characters destroying the Earth, it's actually a feat that a lot of characters do effortlessly in the show. That's why whenever Goku fires a Kamehameha he never does it at full power or aims it at the ground if he can help it.
The “goku” with the green hair is called kefla. She is a combination of two fighters called kale and caulifla. Both kirbys are called buu. Fat one is nice, and the small one is pure evil. The robot that had cannons out of his arms is called android 16. He was a robot made to destroy goku but become at peace with everything and everyone around him. The cat is a god of destruction called lord beerus. And dragon ball is a pretty big topic😅. Let me know if you want more info😅

He also got a lot taller due to the infection. The parasite’s name is Baby.

There are like nine characters who are Goku (Base, Super, Blue, Kid, Gogeta (Blue), Gogeta again (Red), Vegito, Goku Black (pink hair), Fused Zamasu (green skin, white hair)), and two that are his son Gohan. Technically three are Gohan if you count Videl, who summons him for her Supers.
Hopefully this helps, the one where he turns into the Giant ape, the actual name Great Ape or Oozaru. Its a transformation that Goku and others like him used to use before they got to the Super Saiyan forms. Wish the video had the names present as a lot of them are either Goku's transformations/forms or just Goku's kids. Also some were two fighters fused together either through Fusion or through the potara earrings. Cooler is the name of the giant purple guy that said "scream all you like", he's Frieza's brother. Also androids exist in the Dragon Ball universe. Android 18, blond with the denim jacket, Android 16, the first android you saw and were confused when his arms became canons, Android 17, helped 18 when you thought it was possibly an alter ego, and finally Android 21, the one in the lab coat (good) and sexy pink woman with the white hair (evil, and yes they're the same person). Ginyu (purple guy) didn't lose, he just swapped bodies with Goku, hence why "Goku" fought back. Can't wait to see the Naruto ultimates next, I have a few videos I'd recommend whenever you plan to do them. Did I mention that prime Dragon Ball is universe 7, because as everything this franchise has a multiverse. The Goku with pink hair that's british, that's Zamasu AKA Goku Black from universe 10.
@Definitely Not Definitive - Games there's Goten, Goku's youngest, and Gohan, Goku's oldest. Gohan (teen) was the character in purple (who looks like a young Saiyan Goku) that fought Cell (who you thought was Riddler). Goten, isn't actually present, he only shows up when older Gohan, who fought "Fat Kirby and was turned into a cookie, calls on his Dad and younger brother to help. Finally there's Goku's dad, Braddock, who wears the red headband and has a scar, looks exactly like Goku with armor, he fought Frieza.

He then has to go on a quest to search across the universe for the black star dragon balls to wish himself back into an adult. That's also why he has the mannerisms of the adult Goku, as opposed to the childish naivety he had in the original DB
As someone who plays Captain Ginyu a lot, it's extremely satisfying to let someone beat the crap out of you and at the last second, body swap with them so they're stuck with a weak character
@@dj_tlox3534 It is permanent. Also another piece of advice is to hold the button down when you start the super. Ginyu will punch himself and cause like 15-20% damage and then swap. It's more risk and more reward

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames To be fair, Goku's alt level 3 (sorry I said 1 before) just keeps him as Super Saiyan 1 instead of 3, the rest of the super is the same. Trunks level 2 is just a special attack after a super attack (which still wasn't shown), 17's super is just a zoom in to the opponent, though it looks really cool. And Vegito's level 4 is just a level 1 after his level 3. That said, Base Vegeta's Destructive Finish is probably the coolest in the game in my opinion

A friend of tiens, I don't remember if he's human or not, but he can fight, and in the show he sacrifices himself by expelling all his energy in an explosion The "goku" with greenhair is Broly, (specifically the first one with the jewelry is Dragonball Z Broly, the one you see later is Dragonball Super Broly, which is officially canon to the timeline, where as DBZ broly is in a few movies that are not considered canon). he is the Legendary Super saiyan, only believed to come around every 1000 years. And he is QUITE evil, dragonball super broly isn't necessarily evil, just easily influenced and very angry lol The purple cat is Beer's the Destroyer. In dragonball super they introduced beerus who is literally the God of Destruction. And despite all goku's power, is still probably one of THE most powerful chars in the show. Luckily, after sometime and lots of delicious earth food, he's turned out to be not so bad of a guy...but the dude is literally capable of destroying an entire planet with a tap of his finger. The goku with pink hair is actually Zamasu, a former God of Creation. It involves a bunch of time travel but basically in one time line zamasu killed goku and took his body and became known as Goku Black..and then later met up with an alternate timeline version of himself (who you see when he does the big deathball attack). The white haired character is Fused zamasu, which is zamasu fused with goku black

The giant purple guy with white armor from the beginning with the cool voice lines is named Cooler, no pun intended. He's my most favorite villain in the series though he's non canon unfortunately.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Nah he is featured in his very own two films for the anime, the two films are Coolers Revenge and the Return Of Cooler. However Dragon Ball's canon gets tricky, basically anything that was not featured in the original manga that the anime introduces is non canon, and since both Cooler and his films were not in the manga he is considered non canon. Dragon Ball Z has 13 Separate Films all of which are non canon but fun to watch.
To differenciate all fighter look at the clothes - this helps a lot. Son-gohan looks similar like his father but wear different clothes. The small "gokus" are most time his kids with a few exception in the video. First is the fight with master roshi - they used kid goku (11-12yo) as opponent. -Gokus 2nd child ( son-goten) looks 100% like himself as he was a child. If you see little goku with blond hair - its Son-goten 😅 - small goku with blue clothes is goku wished ( with the dragonballs) back into a child. -This is a trainings mode to practise your moves. Thats why enemies stand up after a beat down.
I've been looking forward to this one for the whole week! Really great to see you return to this confusing series :-) One small thing, and I'm not sure if anyone have mentioned this yet, but the reason why the girl with the black hair and an "apron" at around 15:30-15:50 don't fight much herself is that unlike most of the other characters in the game, she doesn't have any kind of "special" powers besides being able to fly, which she learned from the guy in green (aka. Gohan, son of Goku). Compared to the rest of us, she's incredibly powerful, and would likely be one of, if not the strongest person in the world. However, compare her to people who can blow up planets with a flick of their fingers, and she won't really be capable of doing much ^^
Chiaotzu isn’t a child but just small and he’s best friends with Tien the guy with the third eye. You guys should watch some more Dragon Ball Z . I have a feeling you’ll like it.
It's a great game. Overall my favorites are Super Saiyan Rose' Goku Black (super) , Fused Zamasu (Super), and Super Saiyan 3 Gotenks (DBZ) Hes Fusion of Gokus son Goten And Vegetas son Trunks I would recommend checking out the anime series from the start. Goes DragonBall , DragonBall Z , DragonBall GT, and DragonBall Super. Check out the movies from all of these too. If you're looking for more fun series....check out Super DragonBall heroes. During tiens he doesn't throw a baby at cell. Basically during the saiyan saga, Chaotzu( the small guy) sacrificed himself by latching to nappa's back and exploding. Which in this case he did versus cell.
for the blond girl who "calls for help" there's 2 versions; the first one she calls is her brother (both of them started as villans) but later she turns to the good side and marries (they just killed) krillin who is the small monk guy so there is an alternate version with him if you have him on your squad when you use the super!
So, at the very beginning of the video, what normal Goku was doing was something called Kaio-Ken, a special technique taught to him by King Kai (one of the minor diety in the Dragon Ball series), that multiplies his power by a set number (i.e. x2, x3, x4, etc). I think the move you were referencing to was when Goku turned Super Saiyan God, which is where his hair and eyes turn red and he gains what is known as God Ki, which only certain beings have, because of a ceremony that Goku was the focus of in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods. At 12:26 with Tien (the triclops fellow), that was his friend Chiaotzu who comes in and self destructs against his opponent (something he did in the series against the character Nappa, the big bald guy in the armor). Chiaotzu is a small person who looks like a child. At 13:55, that's actually Goku's son, Gohan, when he was a preteen in his Super Saiyan 2 form, which he got while fighting Cell, the green bug man with the black spots.
Golden frieza is basically a damage buff that gives frieza insane access to mixups and new combos the 3 eyed guy has a friend called chiaotsu that basically sacrifices himself
the one where a kid goku goes red and you finally saw a dragon? That was Goku who had been turned into a kid by the dragon balls(ppl that were looking to get rid of him), but kept all his power.

There is too much here to cover, lol. You guys have to watch the full Dragonball/DragonballZ/DragonballGT/DragonballSuper to understand most of these scenes. I would recommend watching History of dragonball explained chapters.

People who started watching this series as a child, now have children who watch it too. The storyline is absolutely amazing. Dragonball: Super Hero is the new movie coming out April 22nd.

Feel like I should clarify some things. The reason why they show the supers multiple times is to show that they have different properties and alternatives such as changing the direction the projectile moves or adding more or less hits to the attack. Helps add variety and options to the gameplay

Captain Ganyu is the purple guy who spat out the little orange ball and ate the one that came from Goku. Essentially one of his most famous fighting techniques is the ability to trade souls with whoever he's fighting. Goku fought back because Ganyu is in his body now and vice versa.

Most of the smaller ones are Goku's kids which is why they look similar. The little blue one is Goku but turned into a kid which is why for his finisher he turns back into his adult body briefly. Some of the times Goku shows up is him doing the attack with his kids because they're iconic moments in the series.
Also any time someone's voice is doubled is because they're a fusion between two characters. Usually they're the ones with black and gold coats.
This helps. The confusing part is that their is a small Goku and also Gokus kid. And it would make sense that they look similar but it’s going to take us a bit to figure out which one is which 😂

I don't think the last season had finished airing until shortly before the game came out so they were limited in terms of who they could use. There were movie characters but they didn't want to use movie characters for the main game and saved them for DLC.

Captain Ginyu the Purple Guy who "lost" his fight actually switched bodies with Goku like he did in the show. It's how he fights, usually mortally wounding his old body to then take over a stronger body while handicapping his opponent.
The Blonde Woman who called in help is Android 18. The Black haired guy is her brother Android 17. While the second is Krillin her husband.

So a little context relating to the game. 6:42 Captain Ganyu (honey purple guy) can swap bodies as his ultimate move. He can also summon his men to help him in a fight. 10:20 Android 18 (the blonde lady) her ultimate lv3, she summons her brother to help out but if Krillin is in your team he'll come instead because he's her husband which is a nice easter egg. 11:02 Andriod 16, (mohawk guy) can blow himself up so that's what's going on there when he squeezes his eyes shut and, ugh, explodes 12:12 Tien (the 3 eye monk) has a movie that deals a lot of damage but it actually hurts him so he can spam it but he's actively eating away at his own health doing it. Also 1 time a match he can "summon" Chiaotzu (the little guy) who will blow himself up. It's a call back to when that happen in Dragon Ball Z. 15:10 Videl is dating Gohan and they have a whole cheesy superhero thing going on. Also Gohan has to look out for her as she tends to bite off more than she can chew but for the most part he lets her handle things herself. Which is cute and it's nice gameplay wise because it makes her somewhat unique compared to other characters. Finally a lot of the weak looking supers are more utility and have another goal besides doing damage. I guess a good example is 16:29 with Gohan, ugh, screaming. It does damage but it also powers Gohan up. Also you can burn more meter for more power but it's harder to land so it becomes more risky. Captain Ganyu is another one where his body swap can fail and you kind of screw your self but if it works you still have to kind of know the character you just stole. I think when he does that it tanks his life bar too so screwing that up can leave you near death with no resources so it's really risky. I might be wrong about that but really it makes sense and that's pretty much what he did in the show.

He also got a lot taller due to the infection. The parasite’s name is Baby.

There are like nine characters who are Goku (Base, Super, Blue, Kid, Gogeta (Blue), Gogeta again (Red), Vegito, Goku Black (pink hair), Fused Zamasu (green skin, white hair)), and two that are his son Gohan. Technically three are Gohan if you count Videl, who summons him for her Supers.

Wish the video had the names present as a lot of them are either Goku's transformations/forms or just Goku's kids. Also some were two fighters fused together either through Fusion or through the potara earrings. Cooler is the name of the giant purple guy that said "scream all you like", he's Frieza's brother. Also androids exist in the Dragon Ball universe. Android 18, blond with the denim jacket, Android 16, the first android you saw and were confused when his arms became canons, Android 17, helped 18 when you thought it was possibly an alter ego, and finally Android 21, the one in the lab coat (good) and sexy pink woman with the white hair (evil, and yes they're the same person). Ginyu (purple guy) didn't lose, he just swapped bodies with Goku, hence why "Goku" fought back. Can't wait to see the Naruto ultimates next, I have a few videos I'd recommend whenever you plan to do them. Did I mention that prime Dragon Ball is universe 7, because as everything this franchise has a multiverse. The Goku with pink hair that's british, that's Zamasu AKA Goku Black from universe 10.

Gohan (teen) was the character in purple (who looks like a young Saiyan Goku) that fought Cell (who you thought was Riddler). Goten, isn't actually present, he only shows up when older Gohan, who fought "Fat Kirby and was turned into a cookie, calls on his Dad and younger brother to help. Finally there's Goku's dad, Braddock, who wears the red headband and has a scar, looks exactly like Goku with armor, he fought Frieza.

As someone who plays Captain Ginyu a lot, it's extremely satisfying to let someone beat the crap out of you and at the last second, body swap with them so they're stuck with a weak character

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames To be fair, Goku's alt level 3 (sorry I said 1 before) just keeps him as Super Saiyan 1 instead of 3, the rest of the super is the same. Trunks level 2 is just a special attack after a super attack (which still wasn't shown), 17's super is just a zoom in to the opponent, though it looks really cool. And Vegito's level 4 is just a level 1 after his level 3. That said, Base Vegeta's Destructive Finish is probably the coolest in the game in my opinion
The fat Kirby is called Majin Buu (which is a pun on Bibidibabidiboo since his 2 masters are both called Bibidi and Babidi).The one that turned into the giant monkey is called Baby and the one that can take out his arms is called Android 16 since he is a complete android. The purple guy with the tail is called Cooler.

The blonde in the blue jacket is Android18. The person she summons during her super with black hair is her twin brother Android17. She can also call upon Krillin (the bald guy) for her super as well. In the show, android18 and krillin eventually end up married

During Tien's super, the "baby" that self destructs is Chiaozsu. A friend of tiens, I don't remember if he's human or not, but he can fight, and in the show he sacrifices himself by expelling all his energy in an explosion
The "goku" with greenhair is Broly, (specifically the first one with the jewelry is Dragonball Z Broly, the one you see later is Dragonball Super Broly, which is officially canon to the timeline, where as DBZ broly is in a few movies that are not considered canon). he is the Legendary Super saiyan, only believed to come around every 1000 years. And he is QUITE evil, dragonball super broly isn't necessarily evil, just easily influenced and very angry lol
The purple cat is Beer's the Destroyer. In dragonball super they introduced beerus who is literally the God of Destruction. And despite all goku's power, is still probably one of THE most powerful chars in the show. Luckily, after sometime and lots of delicious earth food, he's turned out to be not so bad of a guy...but the dude is literally capable of destroying an entire planet with a tap of his finger.
The goku with pink hair is actually Zamasu, a former God of Creation. It involves a bunch of time travel but basically in one time line zamasu killed goku and took his body and became known as Goku Black..and then later met up with an alternate timeline version of himself (who you see when he does the big deathball attack). The white haired character is Fused zamasu, which is zamasu fused with goku black

The giant purple guy with white armor from the beginning with the cool voice lines is named Cooler, no pun intended. He's my most favorite villain in the series though he's non canon unfortunately.

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Nah he is featured in his very own two films for the anime, the two films are Coolers Revenge and the Return Of Cooler. However Dragon Ball's canon gets tricky, basically anything that was not featured in the original manga that the anime introduces is non canon, and since both Cooler and his films were not in the manga he is considered non canon. Dragon Ball Z has 13 Separate Films all of which are non canon but fun to watch.
The guy fighting Goku at 9:45 is Freiza's brother, Cooler. Their Dad's name is King Cold.
So King Cold probably favors his son Cooler 🥶

To differenciate all fighter look at the clothes - this helps a lot. Son-gohan looks similar like his father but wear different clothes.
The small "gokus" are most time his kids with a few exception in the video. First is the fight with master roshi - they used kid goku (11-12yo) as opponent. -Gokus 2nd child ( son-goten) looks 100% like himself as he was a child. If you see little goku with blond hair - its Son-goten 😅
- small goku with blue clothes is goku wished ( with the dragonballs) back into a child.
-This is a trainings mode to practise your moves. Thats why enemies stand up after a beat down.

One small thing, and I'm not sure if anyone have mentioned this yet, but the reason why the girl with the black hair and an "apron" at around 15:30-15:50 don't fight much herself is that unlike most of the other characters in the game, she doesn't have any kind of "special" powers besides being able to fly, which she learned from the guy in green (aka. Gohan, son of Goku). Compared to the rest of us, she's incredibly powerful, and would likely be one of, if not the strongest person in the world. However, compare her to people who can blow up planets with a flick of their fingers, and she won't really be capable of doing much ^^
No one else had mentioned that really. So we appreciate you telling us about her and explaining our confusion on that 🙂
Yeah, people think of her as a weakling but that's just compared to the rest of the cast. She's one of the top five most powerful humans.

32:53 fun fact: that's not cloth around his waist. That's an ear from his "best friend" Ba from another planet. His dad killed Ba and Broly (the character you're seeing) kept the ear as a way to remember him
During tiens he doesn't throw a baby at cell. Basically during the saiyan saga, Chaotzu( the small guy) sacrificed himself by latching to nappa's back and exploding. Which in this case he did versus cell.

for the blond girl who "calls for help" there's 2 versions; the first one she calls is her brother (both of them started as villans) but later she turns to the good side and marries (they just killed) krillin who is the small monk guy so there is an alternate version with him if you have him on your squad when you use the super!

So, at the very beginning of the video, what normal Goku was doing was something called Kaio-Ken, a special technique taught to him by King Kai (one of the minor diety in the Dragon Ball series), that multiplies his power by a set number (i.e. x2, x3, x4, etc). I think the move you were referencing to was when Goku turned Super Saiyan God, which is where his hair and eyes turn red and he gains what is known as God Ki, which only certain beings have, because of a ceremony that Goku was the focus of in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods. At 12:26 with Tien (the triclops fellow), that was his friend Chiaotzu who comes in and self destructs against his opponent (something he did in the series against the character Nappa, the big bald guy in the armor). Chiaotzu is a small person who looks like a child. At 13:55, that's actually Goku's son, Gohan, when he was a preteen in his Super Saiyan 2 form, which he got while fighting Cell, the green bug man with the black spots.

My favorite characters to use are Ultra Instinct Goku, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito, Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta, Broly (DBS), and Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta.
I honestly recommend watching Dragon Ball from the original all the way to the end of Z at least. You can watch Super or GT too if you want (the actual canon continuation is Super tho).

In this particular scene Baby, a mutant created by Dr. Myuu of the Tuffle race has possessed the body of Vegeta, the villan now named Baby Vegeta uses artificial blutz waves to transform into the giant beast. There is too much here to cover, lol. You guys have to watch the full Dragonball/DragonballZ/DragonballGT/DragonballSuper to understand most of these scenes. I would recommend watching History of dragonball explained chapters.

All of the pink people are Majin Buu (The fat one), the original, more evil version Kid Buu (the smaller, skinner one) and the one in the lab coat, as well as the other version, was Android 21. Her human form is her good version and the Majin form (pink form) is definitely her evil version.
