So first let me say, I am a DUC propeller owner. I currently have the 3-blade Flash Black-M ground adjustable on my KitFox 7 (Rotax 912ULS) and I LOVE IT! The ease and speed of adjustment is simply amazing. If I said it took 1 minute to adjust the pitch on all 3 blades ~ I’d be lying. It’s takes about 30 seconds. And just as important to me is DUC’s customer service. Gaetan Fouozing is THE MAN! So professional, so responsive and so knowledgeable. He is an absolute pleasure to do business with!
Looking at the flash for my Kitfox 7 with 912uls. Still happy? Have you tried other props NR or whirlwind? Thanks
@@cnoz7247 - I bought the plane with a ground adjustable Whirlwind and honestly, I didn’t have enough experience with the KitFox to render the Whirlwind a proper judgement. I was just eager for more thrust, better climb rate, faster cruise. When I first heard about the unique design of the DUC and it’s ability to essentially “mimic” a constant speed prop, I had to try it. Very glad I did!
Luv my Duc VIP 🥰. The spinner looks pretty nice too. 😎👍
Gorgeous hardware
Excellent. Love your work! Thanks.
Nice review. Thank you for sharing!
Love this video. Extremely interesting and relevant to us. Really good production.
Great Video, Really like your channel!
Great video!
Great Video
Very nice review 👍.
Very impressive work.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍🏻🤠
Awesome! Thank You!
what's interesting is the fixed pitch prop that has the constant speed effect! is it because the blade flexes or is it purely aerodynamics?
Very interesting. Are you going to find owners and users of these propellers to see what they say about performance, etc? I noticed he mentioned both constant speed as well as the ground adjustable pitch propellers and helicopter and gyroplane rotor blades. They have an interesting website providing much more information and a tool for suggesting the correct blades. Nice.
Aku gak tau bhs you
Viking Aircraft Engines out of Florida, does a lot of work with Duc props. Viking designed a very interesting in flight adjustable/constant speed system using Duc props with their engines. They have a RUclips channel.
Servus!
I've been looking for a Prop for a Hirth F23 that looks like an Airboat prop.... this company I bet has just the blade........ Thanks for the tour.🤗👍👍👍
A propeller is just like a wing, I wanted to know about the shape, at the root. center, tip, and the twist and weight. How it cuts thorough and moves the air compared to everything else out there. He just didn't give us much info at all. 8( Sorry. --gary
Bryan, what DUC setup do you think would be best for the Highlander with the Epex300?
i plan to put the flash one on my apex but they don’t have one for 300hp yet i don’t think.
The best way is to ask DUC USA
They equip lot of type of engines and A/C
I was expecting to see how the blades were made, but not an advertisement of the product
Would like to know how to perform a repair such as a nick on the back of a blade.
No problem for that
Just send back your disassembled propeller in France headquarter
They will allow you to new TBO
Great Video! I've looked on DUC's website, both US and France, for a comparison of the different Blade Families. (i.e. Flash, Swirl, WindSpoon, etc.) Why would I chose one over the other?
It depend of ur aircraft, engine, speed, STOL performance as you like.
The best way is to ask DUC USA or the office in France
how much does he bench press should have been the most important question
how are these cleaned and/or polished mine is DULL
He said the surface is carbon fiber/epoxy,which looks like dull carbon black.I wonder about UV protection,
Hey, when was this tour done at Sebring?
Just last week! :-)
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel okay thanks. Great channel.
Even though these are top quality products, I've always considered the term "Forged carbon" a misnomer. It sounds great/tough but in no way could anything in carbon fibre processing be considered as forging.
This is a nice video, but a fantastic video would be if he had actually showed how to install blades in the hub and then what it takes to do an adjustment on a ground adjustable prop. The extra few minutes this would have added to the video would have been hugely valuable and good marketing for DUC, unless these tasks are much harder than he is saying in which case I understand why he did not want to show us!
Let see DUC RUclips channel
" CARBON FORGED " ?!
Yes in French : Carbon forgé
It's industrial process but also proprietary technology
Not a helpful video unfortunately. The presenter just kept repeating platitudes. As builders, we want actionable information, not tradenames and statements like "we make propellers to suit customer preferences". As a builder I want guidance, not platitudes.
I was hoping to see the actual making but I don't think they are willing to give you that type of information
Please, avoid music in these videos. Makes no sense
Nope. I love music. And the next comment will be someone asking for the music artist. Can't win either way. So I'll leave it. Thank you for engaging here and supporting the growth of our Aviation community!
@@ExperimentalAircraftChannel we all love music. But when each one of your videos has thousands of views, maybe you should consider some good practices when video editing. For example, avoiding music when someone is talking about something interesting.
Please take it as a constructive criticism 😉
@@gerardtamarit68 Yes sir. Thank You. We appreciate your support. I come in peace. Let's FLY! :-)
What about 5 bladed DUC and VIP, I waited but no showing? Pricing? An ok video, but very little meat this time Bryan. A little repetitive and lacking detail. I am looking to put a 5 bladed on a Viking 195 with VIP. So, other than DUC in Sebring, this video tells me nothing!
@@davehallier8584 Sorry to disappoint. Would love to get one of their engineers on camera to dive really deep into the tech in the future. Stay tuned.
Ridiculous price!!!!!!!!!!!!!
